@@chriss.249 Honestly doubt that. Ultron is the stronger virus either way, while Zero is a better fighter when he is sane. X has the potential to surpass Ultron's current power,but that is kinda countered by the fact that Ultron can always evolve past that, while already being many times more powerful than X and Zero combined. With the Maverick Hunter duo's firepower, the best they could do is slow Ultron down, and maybe destroy some of his lesser forms, but they would lose in an all out battle in the long run. Exe has better odds, not just because he is an expert virus buster, but because his feats are closer to Ultron's. But, even then, Im not completely sure that EXE would win, cause Ultron, due to the virtue of being a major team busting comicbook villian, has a lot of really crazy feats behind him. Wouldn't be surprised if there were greater ones than those mentioned in this video.
Actually I think that was less an act of reprogramming and more one of charisma. The Phalanx referred to Ultron as a separate entity from themselves rather than seeing themselves as extensions of Ultron. They maintained their self-recognition as the Phalanx. I remarked in my own comment that the Maverick virus has a record of infecting hardware considerably more advanced than the shells it spreads from. Sigma in fact, was quite specifically designed to fight it before it infected him, as were the next generation Copy Reploids which were far more advanced than Sigma.
@@kyleblackburn8776 So. Years later and mostly in hindsight I've got some issues with this Death Battle. I'm just going from extreme levels. But hank pyns anti-Ultron virus worked because it self replicated, rapidly mutated, and was unsquashable while also having the element of surprise. That entire thing is why Avengers A.I. is even a series that exists. Ultron isn't exactly infallible. He never was capable of taking over a Doombot and indeed there's a future in which a doombot took over Ultrons network. I should also add that Doom quite literally reprogrammed Ultron before. If Ultron can die from a sentient virus than he can get taken over by the Sigma virus. It's insane mutability is one of the strongest aspects about it. Sigma being able to revive from the Sigma virus existing anywhere is also a problem. As was the eventual creation of the Sigma Virus Mk.II and Sigma's ability to create something like the Zero Virus. The only known immunity came from a sentient anti-virus and reploids built specifically to withstand the Sigma Virus STILL went maverick because they were exposed to Sigma DNA to be constructed. The Phalanx feet is indeed impressive but it's equivalent to a reploid (technically more given the Transmode Virus is oftentimes responsible for their existence) being infected by the maverick virus. Ultron's track record for defending against virus' of unknown origin, from Doom, or that of another species/sentient is remarkably low. The Sigma virus would therefore be way out of their league. TL;DR Sigma virus is stronger than any of the viruses/programming that have stopped Sigma in the past, and there's no adapting to something that itself is that aggressively mutagenic.

I think he was. He knew he could annihilate Sigma at anytime, but chose to try and amuse himself with an actual fight. When that failed, he simply stopped holding back.
Let's not forget that the virus meant to take out Ultron only worked with 90% efficacy on him. And it still took IMMENSE amounts of Marvel's heaviest hitters to stop him even then.

According to the Commentary, Ultron VS Brainiac was neck-and-neck with Ultron VS Sigma in terms of request, and they decided to go with UvS because they already have so many Marvel VS DC. They also said it is possible for Ultron to return to fight Brainiac in the future. Though even when comparing the two matchups, Sigma has more in common with Ultron than Brainiac anyways, and was probably the better matchup from a thematic standpoint.

The creators of the comic said that in the script he was supposed to have hit her by accident as he turned around to face her during their arguement, but there was a miscommunication between the writer and the artist which resulted in making it look like he slapped Janet on purpose.
I feel like it was really one-sided, I mean Marvel allows the villain to have at least pulled off a couple of successful capers. If you're in the Megaman Universe and you're a villain your whole life is a total failure, basically no villain ever succeeds but they try anyway. I just feel like if Sigma was in the Marvel Universe you would have at least had a little more credit for what he could do.

@@chriss.249 Sigma has more luck in the Archie comics, basically becoming the reason why two universes (and then a LOT of other Capcom universes) have to team up to stop him from destroying them all. It might be interesting to have a scene where the Avengers fight a bunch of the tougher Maverick generals though. They have some powers that Ultron never did.
too be fair, Sigma technically DID win, even though he never really beat X or Zero. from X3 onward, Sigma managed to succeed in at least one of his objectives. X3: Doppler was infected, countless reploids were given a fake vaccine, and the real vaccine was never used X4: Sky Lagoon fell, Repliforce was decimated, and Zero was forced to killed Colonel, his friend, and Iris, his navigator/potential girlfriend, thus driving him closer to becoming a Maverick. X5: the remnants of Repliforce are completely wiped out, the falling space colony dealt significant damage to the earth despite the hunters' best efforts, Zero went Maverick in one ending, and ended up dead in all the others. X7: the vigilante organization Red Alert was destroyed, removing yet another thorn in Sigma's side X8: every next generation reploid has a fragment of Sigma's code and personality, and due to just how many there are, it is possible that Sigma and Lumine's plans could continue even though they both died.
Was it as good as the time Kang had to team up with the Avengers to stop him? They referenced that storyline in this video. Kang was messing up all time up so much Apocalypse's horseman were actual horse men in a desperate attempt to beat Ultron from the future of the Next Avengers animated movie. He brought multiple heroes and villains across the time stream to beat him and they lost every time. Kang was such a sore loser and couldn't stand taking the Ls he kept coming back for a whopping with more and more characters. The modern day Avengers at the time had to convince Ultron to throw the fight just so Kang wouldn't break time. Ultron bullying Kang is something that happens far less than it should but happens far too much to not be a thing.
That's the thing the comics are never accurate they take things from 20 different comics for Ultron but had a TV show to base sigma off of this was completely bias

Without him, it's unlikely we would've had Iron Man, Hulk, Thor *and* Ant-Man forming the Avengers and fighting Ultron. Without Stan Lee, there wouldn't have been a Hank Pym/Ant-Man, at least not the way we know him today, and since Ultron's entire reason for existing is because of Hank Pym/Ant-Man, it's very likely that Ultron wouldn't have existed in the way we know today if it weren't for Stan Lee. So, in a *very* roundabout way, Stan Lee was also partially responsible for Ultron's existence in both his world and ours (not trying to take credit from Roy Thomas, as Ultron is one of the best Marvel villains imo, but without Stan Lee it's unlikely Roy Thomas would've created Ultron).
A lot of their 2D sprites used in death battles are redrawn fighting game sprites done by the m.u.g.e.n. community. Google it and check it out. They're very well done for the most part.

I feel like Ultron vs Skynet would also be a good fight. I'm not sure how they would be able to animate it, but I feel like an A.I. with an army of robots vs an A.I. with an army of robots seem like a good match.
Unless they stick with the MCU Ultron, I believe that the fight would be more onesided than against Sigma. At the very least, it could give room for some epic army battle with over the top mechanical carnage everywhere. Thatd def be awesome.
@dbroha it is. For one, The purple aura that surrounds Ultron before transforming is the Sigma Virus taking over and merging with them. And Two, the Sigma virus transmited to Ultron the same way it was transmited to Sigma from Zero. And the purple energy and mutations are made by the Sigma virus. So Capcom showed that Ultron CAN get infected by the Sigma virus. What the Sigma virus does is make a robot more aggressive, and increment its power. It makes a robot become Psychotic. Ultron is already psychotic. So he got the rest. And in case you did not know: The sigma virus is not a computer virus. Its a living sentient evil energy.

I just love the fact that in this battle, Sigma is always the one being placed on the backfoot. In the army fight, just so his army can gain an edge, he had to step in and kill some of the Ultron drones. In the 1vs1 duel with Ultron, Ultron destroyed Sigma's body, forcing him to use his mech first. Sigma does however get the upper hand using his mech to destroy the Ultron body, but the latter also uses his mech to gain the upper hand again. And lastly, Sigma, in a last-ditch effort to win, attempts to get the first step and hack Ultron, only to get dismissed by the Marvel supervillain and get hacked himself.
people underestimate the Sigma Virus. IN the X series; Sigma looses his body to X. But is because X is a singularity. But the Sigma virus lives on. No matter what they had done, they never were able to destroy the Sigma Virus, until the creation of Mother Elf. Another virus Anti-body type that absorbed Sigma and destroyed it. And as Capcom has shown, the Sigma virus could even corrupt Ultron.
It would’ve been even cooler if the fight included aspects of ultron’s upgrading. He always takes knowledge from one fight and brings it to the next with improved body and tactics. Than again this is just one fight so it wouldn’t make sense

I know everyone is saying Brainiac would be a better opponent for Ultron, but I personally think Sigma's a more interesting one. Obviously Ultron's body stomps Sigma's body but because they can both jump to other machines that point is moot. I really like how this fight is more about their hacking and intelligence than brute Force and physical stats. Plus, this doesn't bar Ultron from fighting Brainiac. That fight can certainly happen in the future too.
In my opinion, Brainiac is so goddamn boring, so knowing Sigma was going to fight Ultron made me feel great. Hoping Brainiac never comes to Death Battle, just DBX.
I'm not but hurt or anything but if they're scaling sigmas power to X and zero didn't X and zero defeat lumine who destroyed an entire solar system and they survived with little damage, so by that calculation wouldn't sigma be able to tank that as well, just a little side note..

I cannot stress enough how stupid the deciding factor is for the next fight is. You see, Jiraya is the author of the "Make Out" series, and most likely would carry at least one copy of one book at all times. Since it's a pornagraphic novel, and since the Naruto and Dragon Ball universes have never crossed over in cannon, this would mean Roshi has never read it. Providing the perfect bait to distract Roshi, and for Jiraya to deliver the final blow.

Only two creatures have ever survived an attack from a Metroid larva. Samus because she’s the protagonist, and mother brain, who came back from the dead. Fighting mature Metroids may be a fair fight, but the larva are unstoppable without ice. I don’t think the xenomorphs have the ice beam.
Brown Cow I would say the X win that one. The flood wouldn’t be able to infect them since they don’t seem to have a nervous system, and whatever the flood infects loses a lot of capable due to the decaying biomass thing, while the X generally improve what ever host they have taken. While the flood has shown greater intelligence once they manage to make a gravemind, we don’t know the full extend of the X-parasite since the Chozo and Samus where smart and dealt with them before they could infect planets with sentient life.
Yeahh no. I'm giving this one to Jiraiya. Everything I've seen demonstrates him as a superior fighter than Roshi. Furthermore, @TyranntX, it's easy to be a "moon buster" when the moon is fake. The moon got destroyed both in OG DragonBall, and in DragonBall Z. Moons don't just regrow. On top of that, the moon was destroyed and yet the world didn't get turned into an apocalyptic hellzone on account of the tidal patterns and ocean systems getting thrown out of wack. The moon feat must be disregarded.

Because this season is fan-voted for the most part they did consider it because Braniac vs Ultron had almost the same amount of votes as Ultron vs Sigma, but apparently they chose Ultron vs Sigma because they said they already had too much Marvel vs DC fights.
I'm gonna say this. While Comic Ultron was certainly menacing and powerful(the What If? version is still pretty close), but when it comes to motivations, MCU Ultron still stands out to me. Like he saw the problems of the world, and he was disgusted by humanity's disdain of evolution.

Honestly doubt that. Ultron is the stronger virus either way, while Zero is a better fighter when he is sane. X has the potential to surpass Ultron's current power,but that is kinda countered by the fact that Ultron can always evolve past that, while already being many times more powerful than X and Zero combined.
With the Maverick Hunter duo's firepower, the best they could do is slow Ultron down, and maybe destroy some of his lesser forms, but they would lose in an all out battle in the long run.
Exe has better odds, not just because he is an expert virus buster, but because his feats are closer to Ultron's. But, even then, Im not completely sure that EXE would win, cause Ultron, due to the virtue of being a major team busting comicbook villian, has a lot of really crazy feats behind him. Wouldn't be surprised if there were greater ones than those mentioned in this video.

Actually I think that was less an act of reprogramming and more one of charisma. The Phalanx referred to Ultron as a separate entity from themselves rather than seeing themselves as extensions of Ultron. They maintained their self-recognition as the Phalanx.
I remarked in my own comment that the Maverick virus has a record of infecting hardware considerably more advanced than the shells it spreads from. Sigma in fact, was quite specifically designed to fight it before it infected him, as were the next generation Copy Reploids which were far more advanced than Sigma.

I'm just going from extreme levels. But hank pyns anti-Ultron virus worked because it self replicated, rapidly mutated, and was unsquashable while also having the element of surprise. That entire thing is why Avengers A.I. is even a series that exists. Ultron isn't exactly infallible. He never was capable of taking over a Doombot and indeed there's a future in which a doombot took over Ultrons network. I should also add that Doom quite literally reprogrammed Ultron before.
If Ultron can die from a sentient virus than he can get taken over by the Sigma virus. It's insane mutability is one of the strongest aspects about it. Sigma being able to revive from the Sigma virus existing anywhere is also a problem. As was the eventual creation of the Sigma Virus Mk.II and Sigma's ability to create something like the Zero Virus. The only known immunity came from a sentient anti-virus and reploids built specifically to withstand the Sigma Virus STILL went maverick because they were exposed to Sigma DNA to be constructed.
The Phalanx feet is indeed impressive but it's equivalent to a reploid (technically more given the Transmode Virus is oftentimes responsible for their existence) being infected by the maverick virus. Ultron's track record for defending against virus' of unknown origin, from Doom, or that of another species/sentient is remarkably low. The Sigma virus would therefore be way out of their league.
TL;DR Sigma virus is stronger than any of the viruses/programming that have stopped Sigma in the past, and there's no adapting to something that itself is that aggressively mutagenic.
Amazing that these two fused into a single being known as Ultron Sigma, who was the primary antagonist in Marvel vs Capcom infinite.

What about Ultron Vs. Brainiac? Brainiac seems like a better fit than Sigma. Their moves and power sets seem to be on par with one another.
According to the Commentary, Ultron VS Brainiac was neck-and-neck with Ultron VS Sigma in terms of request, and they decided to go with UvS because they already have so many Marvel VS DC. They also said it is possible for Ultron to return to fight Brainiac in the future. Though even when comparing the two matchups, Sigma has more in common with Ultron than Brainiac anyways, and was probably the better matchup from a thematic standpoint.

I feel like it was really one-sided, I mean Marvel allows the villain to have at least pulled off a couple of successful capers. If you're in the Megaman Universe and you're a villain your whole life is a total failure, basically no villain ever succeeds but they try anyway. I just feel like if Sigma was in the Marvel Universe you would have at least had a little more credit for what he could do.
I mean if u think about it Sigma has been MODERATELY successful, taking down Doppler town, taking out repliforce, and DEFINITELY Eurasia.

X3: Doppler was infected, countless reploids were given a fake vaccine, and the real vaccine was never used
X4: Sky Lagoon fell, Repliforce was decimated, and Zero was forced to killed Colonel, his friend, and Iris, his navigator/potential girlfriend, thus driving him closer to becoming a Maverick.
X5: the remnants of Repliforce are completely wiped out, the falling space colony dealt significant damage to the earth despite the hunters' best efforts, Zero went Maverick in one ending, and ended up dead in all the others.
X7: the vigilante organization Red Alert was destroyed, removing yet another thorn in Sigma's side
X8: every next generation reploid has a fragment of Sigma's code and personality, and due to just how many there are, it is possible that Sigma and Lumine's plans could continue even though they both died.
Remember that time Ultron became such a threat that Thanos had to team up with the Avengers to stop him?

Was it as good as the time Kang had to team up with the Avengers to stop him? They referenced that storyline in this video.
Kang was messing up all time up so much Apocalypse's horseman were actual horse men in a desperate attempt to beat Ultron from the future of the Next Avengers animated movie. He brought multiple heroes and villains across the time stream to beat him and they lost every time. Kang was such a sore loser and couldn't stand taking the Ls he kept coming back for a whopping with more and more characters.
The modern day Avengers at the time had to convince Ultron to throw the fight just so Kang wouldn't break time. Ultron bullying Kang is something that happens far less than it should but happens far too much to not be a thing.
That's the thing the comics are never accurate they take things from 20 different comics for Ultron but had a TV show to base sigma off of this was completely bias

And really, Stan Lee may as well have created Ultron. Without him, it's unlikely we would've had Iron Man, Hulk, Thor *and* Ant-Man forming the Avengers and fighting Ultron. Without Stan Lee, there wouldn't have been a Hank Pym/Ant-Man, at least not the way we know him today, and since Ultron's entire reason for existing is because of Hank Pym/Ant-Man, it's very likely that Ultron wouldn't have existed in the way we know today if it weren't for Stan Lee. So, in a *very* roundabout way, Stan Lee was also partially responsible for Ultron's existence in both his world and ours (not trying to take credit from Roy Thomas, as Ultron is one of the best Marvel villains imo, but without Stan Lee it's unlikely Roy Thomas would've created Ultron).

And Two, the Sigma virus transmited to Ultron the same way it was transmited to Sigma from Zero.
And the purple energy and mutations are made by the Sigma virus.
So Capcom showed that Ultron CAN get infected by the Sigma virus.

I just love the fact that in this battle, Sigma is always the one being placed on the backfoot.
In the army fight, just so his army can gain an edge, he had to step in and kill some of the Ultron drones.
In the 1vs1 duel with Ultron, Ultron destroyed Sigma's body, forcing him to use his mech first. Sigma does however get the upper hand using his mech to destroy the Ultron body, but the latter also uses his mech to gain the upper hand again.
And lastly, Sigma, in a last-ditch effort to win, attempts to get the first step and hack Ultron, only to get dismissed by the Marvel supervillain and get hacked himself.

No matter what they had done, they never were able to destroy the Sigma Virus, until the creation of Mother Elf. Another virus Anti-body type that absorbed Sigma and destroyed it. I know everyone is saying Brainiac would be a better opponent for Ultron, but I personally think Sigma's a more interesting one. Obviously Ultron's body stomps Sigma's body but because they can both jump to other machines that point is moot. I really like how this fight is more about their hacking and intelligence than brute Force and physical stats. Plus, this doesn't bar Ultron from fighting Brainiac. That fight can certainly happen in the future too.
Brainiac at his peak would have no issues with Ultron outside of Ultron-Sigma who isnt cannon as far as I know.
In my opinion, Brainiac is so goddamn boring, so knowing Sigma was going to fight Ultron made me feel great.

I cannot stress enough how stupid the deciding factor is for the next fight is. You see, Jiraya is the author of the "Make Out" series, and most likely would carry at least one copy of one book at all times. Since it's a pornagraphic novel, and since the Naruto and Dragon Ball universes have never crossed over in cannon, this would mean Roshi has never read it. Providing the perfect bait to distract Roshi, and for Jiraya to deliver the final blow.
Except in the most recent arc of Dragonball Super (Tournament of Power) Roshi trained away his weakness (being distracted by women).

Only two creatures have ever survived an attack from a Metroid larva. Samus because she’s the protagonist, and mother brain, who came back from the dead. Fighting mature Metroids may be a fair fight, but the larva are unstoppable without ice. I don’t think the xenomorphs have the ice beam.
Oooh. That could make for a pretty cool Army battle. Like a bunch of different Metroids and a Queen vs. a bunch of different Xenomorphs and a Queen.
Brown Cow I would say the X win that one. The flood wouldn’t be able to infect them since they don’t seem to have a nervous system, and whatever the flood infects loses a lot of capable due to the decaying biomass thing, while the X generally improve what ever host they have taken. While the flood has shown greater intelligence once they manage to make a gravemind, we don’t know the full extend of the X-parasite since the Chozo and Samus where smart and dealt with them before they could infect planets with sentient life.

I'm gonna say this. While Comic Ultron was certainly menacing and powerful(the What If? version is still pretty close), but when it comes to motivations, MCU Ultron still stands out to me. Like he saw the problems of the world, and he was disgusted by humanity's disdain of evolution.
