    The bridge on the Strandberg guitar is no tremolo. A tremolo arm is used for vibrato effects that modulate the guitar's tuning. You can't do that with that bridge, it's a fixed bridge. You are not comparing tremolos in this video, you compare different kinds of bridges. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vibrato_systems_for_guitar

      LOL once I heard "fixed tremolo" I just mentally checked out
      I mean, the video isn't useless, that last bridge looks like absolute trash, so that infos useful

    hello and thank you for the service you have privided with these informative videos ! i have been looking at all sorts of these on ebay and ali express . i have a back injury so light guitar is important for me . anyway on the purple guitar , the NK , is that a vibrato or tremo style bridge ? i thought it is fixed style ? where does the bar go ? thank you - safe travels .

    Thanks for making this video. Very much appreciated as I was building a Muslady headless kit that included the Overlord tremolo so I knew I would have some work ahead of me.
    In the end once I did some work on the Overlord it works nicely and stays in tune without locking it.

    Why don’t they have a design like the one on the red guitar for Strats. Saddles shouldn’t move they need to be fixed.

  • @YaBoiRainier
    @YaBoiRainier 5 лет назад +1

    Hey man! Have a safe trip! I have a little question...does the red strandberg copy in the video use double ball strings with that bridge and "headpiece"? Thinking of buying one with the exact same parts...
    I actually have another guitar in mind but it uses the overlord of music bridge :L

  • @ymelfilm

    I had the worm gear roller saddles trem but I hated to use (and search for) the wrench. So I bought the overlord which is yes, very poor quality but since now it seems better for me. I even gigged with it. I think my problem is the tuning, I need more experiment how to use the spring's screw. I lubricated the saddle screws and the knives too. Oh, and sound wise this bridge resilts me a more pleasant sound: less metallic. THe overlord is cheap potmetal, it may have warmer sound? The roller saddle worm gear seems to be brass though.

    The red guitar, does the trem give stable tuning after whammy dive bombs

  • @moribnd
    @moribnd 5 лет назад

    What is your best recommendation for a player who doesn't want to use a Floyd but wants a bridge that can do those chaotic 80s/90s deep divebombs (see Trey Azagthoth or James Murphy) like the Floyd? Are the bridges used on the back edge of headless guitars like the Vader by Kiesel or the Strandbergs a better design that still allow you to divebomb deep? Are there ANY that divebomb as easily as the Floyd but found on standard super strats (as opposed to headless)?

  • @ericsanders5357

    ..my guy, subscribe. Those Overlords ARE nightmares.,..that frame, same as the A1 Abram,(I'm in process of modifying mine now😖)..but that newer one, kinda in the Kahler/Bigsby vein,with a little Floyd kiss with thesprings/cavity)Kahler calls it a cam, incorrectly (a Tru cam has an ecentic profile, this I refer to as an expressive axle...)anyway, I'm getting one of those on the way!....also, the one (a Tru 2 point), the one at the end,...can't wait!!🎸🎶🫀💯🧡

  • @ericsanders5357
    @ericsanders5357 2 года назад

    Try chopping a 1/3 off that f*cking lifter spring they provide,..or a completely different spring,..or that one, cut down and sleeved in one of a slightly greater dia.(may have to nudge it in w/🔨, good thing it built like a tank)until you get desired tension maybe even some kind of retainer on top of the channel even..🤔🚬(also, damn, that is the hardtail version, how high am i?-they have the soft tail now and it look candy🍬, havin one..)
