Why right now is the best time to buy a guitar
a film about nothing...about unpacking
@@savxxslavomir3079 a comment about nothing. Complaining
you sound like sam sulek
@@dmode1692 thanks, I guess 🤣
Wish I had seen this.. I recently purchased one of these. Apart from it arriving damaged (tuning knob shafts bent, one was at 30`from original position) I found that on the high E tuning knob the shift is not long enough to allow the string ball holder out far enough without popping off the thread being forced out by the spring. One of the grub screws in the end of the tuning knobs is missing too... The 2 smaller allen keys supplied do not fit the Allen screws and the tremolo arm doesn't 'latch' into its hole. Absolute garbage. No instructions as to machining sizes for routing the guitar body either..... Oh how I wished I'd seen this first.. Ebay, Buyer beware is all I can say.. Cheers
Just to update. The ebay seller sent me another one. I got to keep the original.. The second one is just as bad ( not worse) than the first.. They have now refunded me.. So Ive now got 2 of these. I've replaced all the threaded parts on the original in a hope to make it use able thanks again
Mine came recently, so far no issues with action levels and neck relief. However the shop that I sent for setup was having issues with the nut as the strings breaks easily before locking it. They recommended me to change if, hence I ordered a new locking nut online. Hopefully by changing the whole unit it would work…
Why don’t they have a design like the one on the red guitar for Strats. Saddles shouldn’t move they need to be fixed.
Hi there, awesome review! Im actually curious to know what to look out for when buying an “ steinberger “ headless guitar from Aliexpress? I was thinking of getting one off there. Not sure how would it feel
6:20 - probably for grounding
This tremolo bridge is worse than the Lord of Music. Both can be forced to work (like fighting with a donkey) though ruclips.net/video/bMDvehbleCs/видео.htmlsi=4fYLf4diUInRsbVI
If you are creative enough, and do not have money or access to buy a better design, you can make it work. I tell you that there worse tremolo bridges for headless guitars, I still have that one, that style sports a kinda 2 pivot Fenderish trem plate. ruclips.net/video/CeQ1-QPpJQU/видео.htmlsi=mRGaTqfRU0rpAd8n
Well we definitely got to see literally the worst filmed video on RUclips. Strop bro, ypur videos suck
What is their website address? thanks
Very informative.Thanks
Did you ever weigh it? Does it still play well four years later?
I got one yesterday for $450 cad at the local pawn. It’s a black limited edition 04-05 with abalone bindings and inlays equipped with Floyd rose. It also comes with a hardcase, Best tone and playability Worth the price in my honest opinion. 🔥
Awesome. Enjoy it
CAPEIXI999 Store does NOT sell NK guitars. They tried to sell me something like this instead....beware
I wouldn't say Carvin was lesser if your going by the artist list, guitar or amps. I actually still have my 1990 Carvin X-50B with 4x12 cab, sweet amp, Steve Vai seemed to like them too lol. I have one of these Peavey V-type exp, mine is metallic Blue, it came with black Peavey licensed hardware, I only kept the neck and body, I ordered gold Schaller tremolo system and Schaller locking tuners with Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups. Installed a bunch of Blue Titanium hardware and brass big block from Fu-tone, it's a complete monster!
I've been wanting to get a china Klien copy but have been worrying about that ...thanks
Muito bom o vídeo! Bastante informativo! Não encontrei no Brasil, em português!
Impossible to tell what the pickup sounds like with all the goofy effects 🤷
Kinda like you thumbs up your own comment. Now THATS goofy
I've got a Pango Steinberger copy and I've paid more to have the neck and bridge set up than I paid for the guitar. I tend to leave the OOM bridge in the fixed position. The intonation is about 97% there and it stays in tune most of the time, tuning it takes the slightest turns. It lets me do my Holdsworth style noodling. The main thing I wanted to mention is that when left on a standard guitar stand it will sometimes do a belly flop onto the floor(carpeted). There's a quick fix for this, just take the guitar cable and unplug it then wrap it across the neck support a couple times and tuck the plug in there and its earthquake proof.
Hey man… I came across your video and wanted to ask if you ever considered lifting your neck instead of lowering your strings by adding a small slab of wood or plastic at the neck joint. I replaced my bridge on a tele and the company actually supplied the pieces to lift the neck. It works great and I have no tuning issues either. Maybe that could work for you as well since it’s a bolt-on neck. 👍
I haven't tried that but others have suggested it. Maybe I'll give it a shot. 👍
Can i open the bottom without removing the saddles? I could never put them back in a thousand years. A spring is sideways on my tuning jaw.
that's weird, turning CW loosens it
Chinese guitars 🤷♂️
This video is kind of fun but it’s not very informative… somehow you don’t have all the parts and it seems like you’re not interested in how the thing works. It’s a wammy bridge and you’re missing the spring, and you don’t seem to know what most of the parts are for… I mean, was it ever even installed? From seeing you frustrated taking this thing apart, I wouldn’t be able to trust you to install one. The main stuff you said is “what is this” “what does that even do” “I have no idea …” and other variations of confusion.
Thanks a million! You just saved me from a potentially disastrous impulse buy on Ebay!
I can say Agile guitars are a lot of guitar for the money, where else are you gonna get a new 5 piece maple/walnut neck thru, multi scale 7 string guitar with mahogany wings for $700 USD?
Just bought one of these bridge systems for about $30 from Amazon. I plan to build a guitar around it rather than try to fit it on an existing guitar. That way I should avoid most of these problems. I also plan to completely disassemble it and make minor adjustments and modifications, as well as lubricate all moving parts. I’m wondering if needs a ball on both ends.
Does it stay in the with tremolo use?
luvvin vids where ah dunno is chanted repeatedly
Is this a real Steinberger? That is a shame.
So you don't need springs at the back of the guitar? Will it fit ibanez ichi10? I love this guitar but no tremolo..
I don’t think they’re trolls. I just think you sound very rude and have a nasty way of speaking. Everyone is different. Some things work for other people that might not work for you. For some reason if something is not right for you you think it’s stupid and the people that use it are stupid. Take a look at yourself sir.
Overlord of music is very Bad Quality, at least the FR edge type trémolo I ve buyed
I have the black one. And it's been my go-to guitar for years!! I got rid of a ton of guitars years ago, but I couldn't bear to let the peavey go. A highly underrated guitar years ago, and even today.
This is definitely not a transposing (trans) tremolo, but it can be used like a Floyd Rose floating tremolo (probably best used with double-ballend strings and a secure locking nut system) or as a fixed bridge (with tremolo locked by engaging a lever underneath at the rear). As I still don't have a convincing nut for the dive-bomb floating option I am just using it fixed with a bridge humbucker as a metal maschine. It's heavy like a FR-tremolo, and so is the metallic sound. I had to shim the bolt-on neck to get the neck angle right for a better string height. For about 250€ I grabbed a DIY Kit plus a few extras from ML-Facrtory in Germany, it has this Overlord as the standard option for the body rout. This guitar is great for travelling on planes using a half-size softbag on board (it's not much bigger than a tennis racket ;-). Looking forward to changing the setup for a floating trem function, for tinklers theres lots of fun here! Here's the result so far at www.gitarre-bestellen.de/blog/headless-esche-murray-rowley/
Not sure why you're saying "lamination". I think you mean "lacquered", as in the neck is painted/has a shiny finiish. I have the same guitar with trhe Floyd Rose. The necks are nothing like Ibanez. The Peavy neck is much thicker/rounder. As for the Peavey Vandenberg, I have two of those and they have super thin necks. Even more so than Ibanez. V-Types share a basic body outline with the Vandenberg but that's really it. No association with Adrian Vandenberg
I got this cause I like headless guitars and missed having a trem. I basically gutted an Anygig and replaced everything and it’s my primary player now. Anyway, after putting the strap hook and arm rest from an Anygig on this it balances better, but I haven’t had a trem in so long I can’t figure out if I need to add tension to the screw or if the strings are just new and stretching, but it just will not stay in tune, unless I use the locking arm. Help?!
You tune the guitar locked. Then unlock and use the main spring to get back to perfect tuning. It’s simple if your string are stretched at least in theory. Locked and unlocked are the same pitch.
How do I adjust the spring tension though? It’s not with the tuning attachment, I tried.
@@ScrubDaddy265 the center post under the tuners is the main tensioner and tuner I think it’s a hex key on that model. This adjusts like an r-trem maybe look up those videos.
@@womplestilskin Hey, just wanted to say thanks for the help and support on this. The main issue is that with the spring completely slack the stock 9s can’t counter balance with the lock arm disengaged. Locked it’s super stable tuning, but I bought it to use the trem. 🤣 Besides switching to 10s, do you have any suggestions?
@@ScrubDaddy265 don’t think that you’re approaching it completely right. The spring has to be compressed to counter the string force. Full slack tells you nothing.
Use an actual Steinberger R-Trem bridge. Far more adjustment and stay in tune. The string height is designed to be adjusted with an allen key in the two holes either side of each string rest. If it's still too high, then that's a factory design fault, so you'll have to cut out a deeper hole for the bridge. The neck on these should be flat.
So put a $250 trem on a $200 guitar?
I like agile they are the only ones that make the guitars I liketo play it feels like ‘my guitar’because all the features match what I’m looking for and it’s extremely cheaper than getting a custom guitar. I love guitar without fret inlays because the markers make a guitar feel like it’s for beginners and the extended range is so useful for more options for note placement and notes that cover the the same range as a 6 string guitar and above without having to tune up to get those higher notes that you can find on regular guitars. Fanned frets are really nice to have as well and agile has released highly ergonomic guitars recently.
How much do these go for now? I have the opportunity to get this (in orange) plus another guitar in a trade.
FYI for anyone else searching to figure out what the Allen screws do below the tuning barrels - if you remove the Allen screw you can remove each individual tuning assembly - handy if you need to replace one.
In theory though your issue with ibanez isn't really an issue. The bridges are set to the radius of the neck via shims underneath the saddles. In theory if you're having issues with action on individual strings, its a fret job issue at that point.
hi, I got this bridge and found that the wammy bar is useless, there is no pitch changes even if I push it forward all the way. Besides, the spring tension is too strong to make a floating bridge. They may have mismatched with base guitar spring maybe.
Would this bridge fit into the Chinese Steinberger routing?
Possibly but I don't know 100%
Ghetto Fabulous
I’m not sure ,please forgive me if I’m wrong but to me the nut is modified from the original to take single ball strings so might not be the original part 👍
I just got my Chynberger (Chinese Steinberger) and it has the "Overlord Of Music" bridge on it. I'm trying to adjust the action but those set screws don't seem to be doing anything. There's a set screw on the side of the unit, does that have to be loosened first?
You’re going to break it if you turn screws while it’s locked. Yes, the side screw locks, it’s a copy of the r trem.
please share a buying link
I have one! 💪
I just got one of these in a fake steinberger. How you you get it off the guitar?
