    Today I'm demoing the DJP-1000 Jazz Guitar from ‪@Donnermusic_Official‬! I was VERY impressed with this guitar. It looks SO sharp and sounds amazing. I've always wanted to have a nice semi-hollow guitar but didn't want to spend a lot of money on a high-end model. For the price, I don't think this guitar can be beat! Check out the links below for the specs and EXCLUSIVE DISCOUNT CODE!

    I picked up this guitar as a cheap back up to my Gretsch Electromatic and this thing does not disappoint!

    IMO the Harley Benton HB-35 is unbeatable. Even with the added cost of a pair of Epiphone ProBuckers or Ibanez Super 58 pickups and a GraphTech TUSQ nut, it would still be cheaper than the Donner.

      Absolutly can`t beat the price of the HB-35(plus) - The Harley Benton Brand is a blessing for everyone who can`t afford expensive guitars.

    One day I bought a package deal of a acoustic guitar to give as a gift when I was going on tour in Malia and I was amazed of the playability of the guitar for the price I paid. It was under 200$ before taxes and it came with a case, a set of string, pick, stand, a tuner... they're doing some great instruments for the price.

    To be honest I was not expecting a Donner guitar from the thumbnail. 😄I actually bought a 400 series Strat style a week ago for my 11-year-old nephew to start learning on and it's not bad. the tuning keys could definitely be better though. The whammy bar could be tossed out🤣 but for $132 (us) it's better than you would expect.

      @@rickoakes5612 Thanks so much! Yeah, I think with the shorter scale the 10s still feel light on this guitar. I like how they feel but if I wanted a more “jazz” set up, then I might go with 11s.

    The problem with all these cheaper non-name brands is that their quality is basically clear coat deep. They all look shiny and nice. Clear coating is the cheapest way to make it look like "quality". But the pickups are bad, the electronics are worse and the gluing, just wait... I bought a Firefly to see what the hype was about. It just not worth it. I gave it to my son's school mate. After a year, he just gave it away when he got an Epiphone DOT. These guitars are probably all made in the same factory in China, just with different brands. They are cheap here but you would be surprised with the mark up. They are made for even cheaper. Then they look for youtubers to sponsor and say good things about their guitars. Notice how the smaller the youtuber, the more likely he is to talk about smaller brands. It's best to buy chinese made guitars from brands which own their own factories there and can be on top of things. Such as Hagstrom and Epiphone. Or buy made in Korea, which at least has less factories building dime a dozen instruments.

    • @jamierobinson777
      @jamierobinson777  5 месяцев назад +1

      I would never let any product/brand tell me what to say when reviewing something. I’ve played the HELL out of my other Donner (watch some of my improv solos with it) and that thing stays in tune and plays better than any other guitar under $1000.
      I do agree that guitars in this range tend to be more hit or miss in quality, but the ones I’ve played are awesome guitars. Which is why I continue to use them in my videos.
