Josh came down to us with his home built Renault Clio 172 with an Audi TT 1.8T 20v conversion running around 340bhp. Should Renault Sport of gone this route from the start?

Personally, I think the original engine, left N/A, running no more than 200bhp & setup properly is about the peak of this car in terms of drivability/character/fun

Cracking build. Nice to see someone take a different route to the k20 swap. Credit to the fella. Love how it’s almost stock looking as well. I had a standard 172cup myself years ago and loved the handling, they’re just so well set up for corners. The Power to weight in these engine swapped cars is insane, frighten a lot of high powered stuff. I speak from personal experience with my own car. 🚙🔥💨💨 great vid guys! Keep up the content 👏🏼💪🏻

Very similar to mine just a lot more power mines only 250bhp and 400nm torque at moment. Love a Vaglio
I love the swaps and the fabrication and skills involved in all of these builds, but i wouldnt pull put the interior personally, I've done it before and unless its a totally dedicated track car, it will do your nut in on a long drive anywhere.

I love mk2 Clio’s, this build is epic, a shame he couldn’t lay it down to show you. I had a 1.5 dci and that was a nippy thing, this must be a ballistic missile 💨💨💨

In the service book it had my kerb weight as 980kg and that was with everything inside it (3 door dynamique)

Im currently building a 1999 honda crv in lovely metallic clover green, 4 wheel drive. Doing it all myself. Rear boot spare wheel delete and a flushed boot. Custom rear bumper to remove the number plate and relocated to the boot door, Exhaust and intake, type R front grille, all abs plastic exterior trims have all been re painted. Japanese square number plates. Got a set of old porche 911 17" rims to go on after ive got some coilovers on it. No engine swap as of yet but considering doing the b16 vtec head conversion to give it some more power.

MR2 is at street racers getting the wiring done then we are going up for mapping

If the guy has the time and money for it, if he can Frankenstein the revoknuckle suspension, hubs etc from the mk2 focus rs, it should eliminate the cars torque steer 👍
There is a Roll Centre Kit, you can buy which will help keep the wheels straighter , which these suffer when lowered.
Apparently a must buy!
Went in a rover 100 with the agu engine thing was evil round castle combe but plexi glass made it so hot felt sick as a passenger had a full on whity 😅

The very first Clio 1.8T 20v turbo conversion was done 20 years ago in 2002 by a lad called Matt from Blackburn. He pulled 402 bhp in an orange 1.2 clio sleeper running an AGU 1.8 20V + GT28 turbo with nitrous. Ran 11.9s.ruclips.net/video/Ss8Mupq5vbc/видео.html

Doesn't have to be. That's the beauty of forced induction. With a set of rods you can push them pretty hard and they'll take it. 500whp isn't unheard of at all. Tons of supporting mods for building a badass 1.8t.
