Steering is crazy heavy on these without PAS, Pretty sure an EPAS setup would save you some lap time. Cool build nevertheless 😎
Hi David 👋 I have thought about this sometimes but then I wonder if I will actually gain anything in terms of carrying speed through corners easier? I've really gpt used to how heavy it is but obviously most tracks have that one corner that's tight and requires alot of effort... maybe a next winter job for sure.
@@davehayden2436 Never drove mine on track without PAS mate so I could be wrong, Only on the road. With the extra Castor it was just crazy heavy though. I used to get alot unwanted steering feedback aswell, Think the EPAS motor absorbs some of that.. Definately feels less twitchy and gives you more confidence. I fitted the adjustabke kit off Ebay. Another bonus is the EPAS rack is solid mounted to the subframe so no more sloppy clunking rack bushes. Make sure you get the 2.4 turns rack because there's a slower one. Something to think about 👍
Yes I agree David, although I see why alot of people take them out as it adds to the rawness and feel. I had EPAS on my K20 Clio 182 which worked very well. *Part 8* on here if you want yo have a look 😊
