Nina Faso and Stephen Schwartz's ''Working: A Musical'' is being revived by New York City Center's Encores! Off-Center series in celebration of the venue's 75th anniversary. The star-studded cast, which includes Helen Hunt, ''Hamilton'' vets Christopher Jackson and Javier Muñoz, Andréa Burns, Tracie Thoms, and more, took the stage through June 29th. I worked on the set for a production of this musical at Westen Kentucky University in the early 90s. I was really captivated by the music in this production and borrowed ideas from scaffolding set with steel girder looking flats for a later production of Godspell I production designed for a Somerset Community College production where I also borrowed from design from "West Side Story" by making the backdrop NYC.
