David breaking rule 12 killed the entity within room 3. David used the book to bind some sort of group of entities to him, and used them to act as an extra life force of some kind. He used them to prolong his life just long enough to drink the liquid from the Lady's Goblet, to get the needed information to contain the rest of the entities in his stead. Turning on all the projectors started room 3's effects obviously.
The "Rules" is like whole new genre of creepypasta now. This one was unique in most ways to the others. In other ones the protagonist and the viewers get the rules at the start, obviously the protagonist doesn't believe the rules at first, then instantly gets the easiest one and realizes that the rules are real. Protagonist tries to follow them, but fails and is saved by plot armor. In this one we can feel the struggle, as we also feel as we were with him all the time because we discover rules as the story goes on and the story quickly follows up. Most "rules" stories goes like this: Rule 1, rule 2, rule 3 and rule 4, the story is a mix of all the rules. This one goes like: Rule 1 Story 1, rule 2 story 2 , rule 3 story mix of 1+3. A nice change of pace

Here are the rules in order ⚠️spoilers⚠️ 1. Don’t open room #3 while a movie is in play. No matter what. 2. Notify manager if you see a character in costume luring children to a location alone. 3. Don’t allow a man with a tattoo on his cheek to take any thing from lost and found. 4. If the lights go out while cleaning a room, immediately sit down in a seat and don’t look away from the screen. Even if you are tempted. 5. If everyone in a room stares at you in a theatre without blinking, leave room and notify manager immediately. 6. If a customer hears a noise in the vents, take the box in the garbage room, open it and place it in the middle of the vents. Leave immediately. 7. If you notice shadows being out of sync with your surroundings, return to the last room you’ve been to. Alone. Close the door and open it. 8. If a trash bag starts to move and talk, don’t open it. Dumpy it down the trash Shute. 9. If a smartly dressed man walks out of room #3 while still in play and asks for the manager, lead him to the manager. 10. Don’t open the black leather book that appears around the theatre . 11. Don’t accept the drink from the lady in the black dress. 12. There must always be a manager.
this story is much better than other rules stories because he had the option to call the manager. And the manager wasn't the villain or mastermind of the evil rules, but just the "safety keeper" or "guardian" of them. I LOVE THIS.

True story: I worked in a cinema for over two years and we had one rule like these. While the rule was unwritten no one ever broke it. NEVER go into theater 10 alone. My fellow ushers and I went in that room in trios once and saw... something. We still don’t know what it was or how it disappeared the way it did. But no one ever went in that theater alone... ever.
@@stevepalpatine2828 lol. We’re not sure what it really was but at first we thought it was a customer as a movie had just ended. Problem was no tickets had been sold for that showing and aside from the emergency exit which sets off alarms, there is only one door out of that theater. The door we were all gathered at. We waited outside the theater for 15 minutes but no one came out. Eventually we went back inside and no one was there.

I use to work at a theater which was haunted. It got so bad they had to close one side of the theater because their was alot of activity one room had the sleeping man. When your cleaning their be a shadow on the way top left corner looked like someone sleeping. When you would walk up to "wake up the sleeping guest" you will always have something catch your eye. And when looking back to the sleeping man his gone... their no way that you could miss a person walking to the exit... another room had a little girl who was said was killed before the theater was built. I had a friend who clean up at night and would tell me he would hear a girl giggling and that when he vacuumed someone would unplug the vacuum now their are 3 cleaners in total each in their own area. I meet the girl once when I was opening I would go in to the room to check for any left over trash. Then when I peeked inside I saw the girls face in the big screen... I ran out real quick. Now I worked when their was movie reels not digital like now you would switch the whole reel their was a rule "no female where allowed to close projection" seeing their was a ghost who would walk around the projection room and you can see it real clear.. their was a door that had chains and those chains would swing wildly. We even got braved and took pictures what we saw creeped us even the manager who took the pictures. Every photo you see something and when we where at the end you see the ghost full body.. last thing that happen I was cleaning one of the room and the light where turning on and off I looked up and saw a shadow thinking it was my co worker I radio him and told him to knock it off with the lights his response was " I'm on the south wing opposite of where I was working. When i looked up the shadow moved across the actual projection and dissapeared. The light turn on and my manager walked in and asked why the arm rest where all up when you worked as an usher you have to place all arm rest down. I was shocked all the arm rest where up. The snack bar you hear your name being called inside the freezer when you open it no one their. I would visit the theater and talk with the crew and asked them question their face says it all.
I keep relistening to this I just can't get over the quality of it all, this narration is so amazing how you make each character come to life and so captivating all throughout the entire thing, the slight music, the pacing, the sound effects, your tone is video is so perfect and The level of work I aspire to create one day. bro whoever did this voiceover hella talented, played every character perfectly and read for an hour with no vocal inconsistencies switching between said characters
Here are the rules in order
⚠️spoilers⚠️

This is a particularly great Rules story. The protag is generally smart and doesn't go around breaking all the rules, and the timeline is spread out enough that encountering each rule scenario seems organic and natural.
i have a love/hate relationship with the hour+ long stories because i get attached to the characters & don't want it to end.

This here is PROBABLY one of my most favorite "Rules" stories. I've listened to it maybe half a dozen times now. And I keep coming back haha
But no one ever went in that theater alone... ever.
Probably your minds tricked itself to fueling its own existence

@@stevepalpatine2828 lol. We’re not sure what it really was but at first we thought it was a customer as a movie had just ended. Problem was no tickets had been sold for that showing and aside from the emergency exit which sets off alarms, there is only one door out of that theater. The door we were all gathered at. We waited outside the theater for 15 minutes but no one came out. Eventually we went back inside and no one was there.

This is probably the best “rules” story I’ve heard, and your narration is absolutely top notch! I’ve listened to it at least 10 times and will definitely listen to it again in the future!
“There must always be a manager”
