Rules:
1. Do not speak of this sheet to any passenger, you are the only human on this flight
2. Check the time on your phone after reading the sheet, all rules will apply based on the time of your phone
3. During the first hour of your flight do not talk to anyone, people may try to talk to you but ignore them completely
4. During the second hour of the flight you may start talking again, but if anyone mentions the window do not look outside the window under any circumstances
5. If you hear a child crying in the cabin, immediately run to the bathroom
6. If the screen of your entertainment console suddenly goes black, immediately look away and do not stare at it
7. During the 3rd hour of the flight the captain will make an announcement, follow the instructions
8. During the 4th hour of the flight do not sit in your seat
9. If you make it past the 4th hour, you will need to spend the rest of the flight evading the chaser, you will know who the chaser is when you see them
10. The capitan will make an announcement of the plane landing, as soon as you hear this announcement push your way to the exit door and open it
11. You will find that the outside is just a black void, jump into it without hesitation

I like rules stories but I hate when there is a very explicit rule do not give anyone or tell anyone about the rules. The main characters just agrees to give someone the rules no big deal.
Ik right or when there a very simple rule and it's broke after they know the list is real or when the entity break the rules themselves or bring in outside things that have no reason to be there, like the one with the guys very young daughter showing up, the exception is the one where the being boss showed up to punish it like the buss story.

You know how he explains how his seatmate's face was especially disturbing because it was just a little Off from appearing entirely human? that's something you have to imagine for sake of the story, but as a American traveler, I had more culture shock in England than I did in India or Thailand because I Expected the Asian countries to be different, so living there didn't bother me---but being in England felt like it was a different Dimension of America---Similar, but just different enough that you KNEW you were NOT home....

A few night's ago I was laying in my bed when I saw it come on from the bathroom.
Nobody was in my house, my pets were all with me.
It just glitched out obviously, but for good minute I was pretty freaking scared.
A motion sensor light can turn on by itself because of electrical and radio interferences, heat changes, UV and sunlight reflections, poor wiring, defective wires, faulty equipment. Moving objects, like animals, traffic, curtains, foliage can also cause a motion sensor light to turn on by itself.

Not true at all. There's so many things that could be done in order to follow the rules man vs surroundings for example. Either way it was a great concept. It just needed a little more thought in possible conflicts to take direction. It was still great either way. A little cookie cutter but still not bad at all.

How eventful would dying in the 1St couple minutes be?
Rule 1 is you're the only Human here, don't share the rules. Rule 3 is talk to no one in hr 1. Once he broke rule 1 he immediately singled himself out and should have died.
Rules compliment eachother with the 1St as base for the rest. If the 1St is essentially don't let anyone else know you're human the other rules will start falling apart.
Imagine the suspense of a main character being TEMPTED to break each and every rule, in part by forgetting small details, in part by external influences both unintentionally and intentionally trying to make them fail. Personally, I think it would make it easier to relate to the main character and sympathize with them, and the more you want them to succeed, the more suspenseful the next near-miss will become. As soon as a character breaks a single rule, the excitement is gone, as you just know there will be dire consequences. (This story comes to mind: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viy_(story) )

I read this story a short time ago, but didn't realize until now, that it must've been a 2 or 3 parter. The one I read, stopped at, "I'm the chaser." I thought that was a pretty creepy ending. Little did I know there was more to the story. Great job with the narration 😨😰😱☠

I saw so many of these rule list stories. If in my next job i will see list of rules in my workspace, i womt even read half and ill already be running.
This is one of the most realistic "strange rules" . This is how our brain would work here , even forgetting the tiniest of details that can just ruin our survival .
In all honesty, if someone gave me a list of rules that was this specific, this long AND involved evading a non-human being inside an airplane for quite some time, I think I would be so creeped out that I would immediately cancel my flight. Even if it turned out to be a prank, I would not regret my decision.

There's absolutely no way this guy would have ever survived this thing, he almost intentionally tried to kill himself.
I like unique stories like this that delves into things like beings that exist above or outside of Concepts like death and space, things that seem Omnipotent to Humans or even Gods can be microbes in the scale of even higher beings.
I read a lot of comics so I'm into things that have similar lore to Grant Morrison.
