The "no buttstuff" rule is more like a suggestion. They say no at first, but give it a couple months.
RULE #4- No matter how good it feels you must never moan, groan or for that act let out any sound or the next 200 seconds
This is probably the most intense rules story I've listened to.
There was one I listened to that was about an hour and thirty minutes that was soooooo intense it was a interview that I wish I never went to or something

I like how he says he should follow his gut and adhere to the rules then as soon as he goes out for his first walk around he's like, "Naaaah, rules are for nerds!"
He was skeptical, most of the rules were vague with no explanation. He and I would've stayed in the room since the 15 minute walk looked optional and 'part of the job'. So really he was pretty reasonable with how he dealt with the rules, good story overall. Only negative is continuation.

I see a pattern, the protagonist is dense as hell.
SO, the endgame should have a clever witty protagonist that takes everything seriously but dies anyway and the dense protagonists get plot armour.

I’m gonna be real honest, I really liked the rules creepy pastas for a while but the novelty is kind of starting to wear off on me. Still better than the run of the mill “spooky monster in the forest/abandoned building” stories.

So: what must they guard, in these kind of supernatural cases, beside themselves? I think the security guys are hired to act as toys for the entities for the night, to distract them, in any location they are in. Don't see any other reason for hiring them.

I really love these rule stories, but also love how the main character always manages to break them. I’d be following rules like these on a mysterious job like my life depended on it, even if my gut told me it was a prank. My ocd already forces me to follow irrational personal rules for no reason, what’s a few more? Lol
Me too. I know it's a year down the line for a comment, but in all honesty, I found this character really irritating....he practically failed to follow every rule he was given.
I loved the ending of this one... it makes you wonder if he will be trapped doing that job the rest of his life as he has taken their money and obviously killed that guy.. leaves lots to the imagination!

The real dylan helped him up when he fell earlier in the story and he fought him and pushed him over the railing and it killed him. He thought it was the same dylan he saw on screen help kill marcus but it was and illusion or twisted vison the "mall" showed him. Now they blackmailing him to return

My boy Dylan was just playing and get murdered for it
Closed malls at night are creepy. I worked at one for eight years. One night around the holidays we were finnishing up and I had to go get the east wing housekeeping cart. It was dark and I heard a sound like- *Creek Creek* I looked around for the source of the sound, it was just one of those mechanical elfes raising and lowering it little hammer. It creeped me out so I quickly caught up with the rest of my crew.
These are my favourite types of stories - the strange rules making something mundane into something so much more fascinating. Keep up the awesome work man.
