having played the game myself I can tell you that the Kastellans are the one thing that I avoid at all costs when expanding in this game
Part of that is because where there is one Kastellan, there is almost always more, and the fucking priests can heal them.
The other issue is the fact that they are unbearably tough and hit so fucking hard in return
@@iconicusensign9624 the question you should be asking is how he was able to summon as many robots as he wanted. In the 42nd millennium, ALL robots are considered archeo-tech. It’s impossible to create new ones from scratch.

The AI owning the shit out of everyone is VERY appropriate for a 40k game
This is a good game if you like alot of combat, for instance ive been playing the imperial guard and for the last 75ish turns in a 150 turn game 2 hostile AI have been sending litterally everything they've had at me and its basically the battle of the somme, they keep sending men, i keep giving them back in body bags
Looks like civ V and a lot of combat? Sign me the Fu ck up!

I love the techpriest rebellion. Once a friend was beating me so I summoned the techpriest rebellion. He destroyed like 5 kastellans before he realised he was helping me

They always reminded me of the Jeff Wayne tripods with their face-sensors.
The guard's final mission objective is unironically the hardest in the game. The techpriest and his army are just so massive and tanky, and you have to hunt each one of them down.
That being said, the Baneblade is amazing. And a tier 10 technology gives every imperial guard vehicle (EVERY imperial guard vehicle) a built in cruise missile system to use at its convenience. They are hands down my favorite faction and always will be.
I remember when I had to fight the priest's army - they spawned right on top of me, and I had no help.

Yep, my first game in this the 'end game' spawned while my army was on the other side of the map because I didn't know it would happen.

Kastellans are HORRIFYING, afterall they are regarded as some of the most powerful machine forces that the mechanicus have deployed period
loving this so far!
so those who don't know
This is almost literally Civ, but everything contributes to war. there is no diplomacy, there is ONLY WAR. you make units, they can all fight. you research things that help the war, every factions has their own way of not only fighting but developing. Space Marines only have one city, they have doctrines that buff their army and all their resources come down to 2 things. Guard can expand as much as they want, their resources are about 4 or 5 things, but they're the guard.
if you want a game like Civ but is focused on combat, this is a good game. there is a decent amount of depth here, but against the AI you will be in an endless war.
Digby was oddly quiet during this episode. He have to bail too?

Clearly the way to unite the peoples of the Warhammer universe is to set them all up against the AI in order to win.

Those last missions in Gladius do not fuck around . I had one where I had to fight against a chaos swarm and legit had roughly 15 until bum rush my main city and had to request my buddies army to help me fend them off
IF this ever comes back (which I don't think it will, but I can hope) turn off quests. I wanna see a big battle with everybody and quests off. That would be EPIC.

Yeah I got that last quest with him popping up right next to my base while my army was all the way across the map split in half and got completely annihilated by the crazy powerful robots

I'll consider getting this game if the Mechanicus becomes playable down the line. Otherwise it kinda just looks like Civ Revolution and I dunno if my love of Orky Boyz can carry me past that.
I had my first round as the guard with free for all with all the other races.. it did not go well I had three city's burned down my starting base held out for I believe 45 turns before that I was fight a with two fronts neurons and chaos just started winning as well... then.. the damn elves killed everything...
