Welcome to my channel! I'm Mick Howard, a landscape photographer based in the UK, specialising in capturing the breathtaking beauty of our world. Nestled in the picturesque landscapes of North Yorkshire, I immerse myself in the rolling hills and serene dales, constantly seeking out the most captivating vistas and cascading waterfalls to photograph.
With a profound love for the natural world, I embarked on my photographic journey armed with a second-hand Praktica BX20 35mm SLR film camera. Through trial and error, I honed my skills, discovering an innate talent for encapsulating the essence of the landscapes that surrounded me.
Driven by a thirst for knowledge and a dedication to mastering my craft, I pursued formal education in photography through the British army photography branch, studying at the esteemed Defence School of Photography. There, I refined my technical expertise, delving into the realms of PR photography while staying true to my original muse: the beauty of nature.
My adventures have taken me far and wide, from the ethereal landscapes of Iceland, which I've had the privilege to visit six times, to the stunning vistas of the Italian Dolomites, where my camera has captured the essence of their majesty. Yet, beyond the thrill of exploration, my greatest reward lies in the hope that my images and vlogs will ignite a passion for preserving our planet's beauty and fragility.
