Amazing song... even more spectacular when you realize that he has been writing and releasing his music for almost 60 years. I can't wait for the full album!
Great song, love this and "40 years in the Wilderness." This will be a great album, can't wait to see him live. I hope he does some old deep tracks instead of "Wondering Where The Lions Are," "Lovers," and "Democracy," all of which are great songs, but he does them at every show. Bruce should really do an album where he re-records some old songs. I'd love to hear songs like "Coldest Night of The Year," "Peggy's Kitchen Wall," and "Creation Dream" on a new studio album. Doesn't even have to be the hits, could be deep tracks too. "Outside a Broken Phone Booth With Money in My Hand." That'd be killer to hear a new version of that.
Cockburn fans will relate to this song...recorded at one of my fave places, Prairie Sun Recording Studios, Cotati, CA where beautiful people live and work!
This sounds amazing; Bruce is back to beautiful raw acoustic sound, and he's always played with the very best. Is that Colin Linden at the soundboard at 3:59? Another of Canada's finest.
Found out that it's again Colin Linden! My personal favourite BC album(s) are the two ones with T Bone: "Nothing but a burning light" (1991) & "Dart to the heart" (1994).
Rollercoaster1972 I have yet to fully listen to "Dart To The Heart," I've listened to a few on it, but I usually like listening to the whole album twice to get an opinion on it which I haven't done yet. I have repeated "Nothing But A Burning Light" many times though, and it was produced impeccably. T-Bone sure loved that organ.
I fear I may be going against the grain, but man I wish he wasn't working with Colin Linden here. Not sure what it is, but it just doesn't feel right. It's almost too in yer face....and missing those subtle Bruce moments. Can't put my finger on it but something doesn't feel right
It's your opinion, I don't agree. Sure it's ragged, it's supposed to be. This song reflects the urgency of our times. Unpolished roots music at its best.
Man I love this guy. Still one of the coolest cats in the business.
BC never fails..... another killer song packed with hooks and amazing beauty! He gets better and better and better............
Amazing song... even more spectacular when you realize that he has been writing and releasing his music for almost 60 years. I can't wait for the full album!
Amazing song from an amazing artist...saw him in concert many years ago, he's never lost his edge..love ya' Bruce!!
He's my favorite of 'em all!! Saw him at Fur Peace Ranch last fall- he just keeps gettin' better!!
Welcome back Bruce! Timeless music and still very relevant in todays world.
Hey Bruce. Beautiful Les Paul Recording. I have a 1972. Can only imagine this magnificent guitar in your talented hands.

Cool Song! Is T Bone Burnett back on the bill? Sounds like ...!
Found out that it's again Colin Linden!
My personal favourite BC album(s) are the two ones with T Bone:
"Nothing but a burning light" (1991) & "Dart to the heart" (1994).
Rollercoaster1972 Are there any other albums T Bone did?
Only two ones with Bruce Cockburn!
Another great one he produced is "The Union", an Elton John and Leon Russell album back in 2010.

I hope you like Dart....it is one of my favorites.
oh dear am I going to have anything left on my playlist at this rate. 3 out of 3 cheats so far.
Love Bruce, but this sounds like a re-hash of an older song.....

I hope the rest of the album has more guts to it. This is very bland. Fan since '82
Bold not bland at all, IMO
