I mean, that would be a cool twist. Though it seems the avatars chosen, at least when I only knew ATlA, had moral compass, good hearts. They were noble people... BUT! It does sound pretty cool of a twist idea I'll admit. Though I feel like it doesn't fit into the old rules of what the Avatar was meant to be. Sounds a bit like the dark edgy fanfics tbh. I like the noble entity backing noble people, instead of the trope on the laughter of thirsting gods of 40k that I've seen in like a million isekai and fantasy manga and manhwas. But that's just my opinion.
Why did I think the same thing. We do know that Avatar Studios appreciated the dedication of the fan creators of TLOG, and said they would use some elements from TLOG. Avatarist mentioned that the faux Avatar is raised in luxury, while the real Avatar is in poverty (similar to Genji and the Earth Kingdom celebrity). TLOG also has a setting similar to Hunger Games where the line between rich and poor is huge. Imo, TLOG was an honest, loyal, and engaging project, so hopefully Avatar Studios borrow much more from them. But if not, they do (after all) have the final say in what is canon or not.
@emanuelosorio9610 TLOG has no agenda it's pushing. It's just telling a story same can not be said for TLK and the new Avatar that in the works. Avatar studios won't work to satisfy fans desires they are working to satisfy their funders. Cash rules
Sounds like a clash between Kyoshi and Roku's books. A young girl that was abandoned and grew up poor, mistakenly choosing the next avatar. Being born as a Twin.
I could have sworn the article said Korra stopped a cataclysmic event not that she caused it. In the process of her stopping whatever it was messed up the world. Korra had a lot of development by season 4. I would expect her later years for her to be more wise.
This is what I'm thinking. Korra will never destroyed the Avatar World. I think she saved the Avatar Universe in the cost of her life and that's how the Avatar Universe entered the Apocalyptic setting. Maybe the Lion Turtles will come back since the portals are now open.
I was going to say it's probably a Saitama situation. She stopped or at least greatly weakened an event, but the world was led to believe the collateral was her fault.
I ain’t lookin forward to it but it might be good if they play there cards REALLY well. No room for error a couple slip ups and the franchise could fall apart
If it is steampunk I hope all the technology is extremely outdated, broken down, and the city still looks very primitive and lawless. There shouldn't be highly advanced super tech.
I personaly want to see a show about an Avatar not after Korra, but somewhere between Wan and Aang, and NOT connected with all the stories we have already seen, a complete new one. It was 10.000 years, they can write new interesting stories, but in the setting we fell in love with. I mean no cars, no modern anything, anytime in those ten thousand years.
I'd love to see the second Avatar and the earlier Avatars - to see how the mythos of the Avatar was established after the people kept seeing them getting reincarnated through the "Water, Earth, Fire, Air," cycle.
@@TniasJfacts I appreciate the ancient China/Japan 🗾 like setting and lore. I WANT the FOUR NATIONS NOT no damn 7 Havens smh 🙄.....it's giving bootleg Walking Dead anime vibes
for me its less korra, then a real lack of trust in the creators at this point to make a good show. Avatar had such a good story one of my fav of all time, and even Korra season one was solid. But season 2 was like awful and season 3 not much better. I honestly wouldnt recommend Korra to anyone which is what makes me sad. At this point im more interested in the netflix show which says a lot. I really hope they prove me wrong.
@CaiRobinson I didn't have much of a problem with korra especially season 1 and 3 what bothers me is the destruction of the world building I mean blowing everything up literally is a bit drastic their were 180 year from the first series their was enough space to build whatever you wanted.
i do. my favourite show, ATLA, is a great show! idk where any of this crap is coming from but it definitely has nothing to do with ATLA. it will remain unsoiled forever, for me anyway.
@@ashuea2 like i said, for me everything after ATLA has nothing to do with the avatar universe, so i have nothing to accept. this is all fan fiction to me and as most fan fics, it's utter shite. =)
What do you expect. That tte avatar world never changed, never evolved and no new questions are shown? Just wait, and when you have seen this, you can complain all you want. Until then, its just yapping over nothing
@@vcjg287 Of course there'll always be ppl who cant see the downside to anything they like. As its been said, one of the best things to lose is a closed mind.
It honestly feels like they’re trying to distance themselves more and more away from ATLA. First they killed off all of the previously avatars including Aang and now they just nuked the entire world including the Four Nations and all of its history. It’s getting to the point where this doesn’t even resemble the original show anymore.
I know this is making me feel like its gonna be completly different from what we know and love. To many spirits weird tech and the destroying the nations is scaring me
Same. It actually killed the hype for me. I was hoping in a more classic-Avatar more similar to TLA... instead we're going to get this apparently... I'm afraid that TLA was the exception and that it will never be replicated again if we are having another Korra... why the setting has to be so futuristic and the writing an even more souless woke blob (from what it seems)?... ATLA was literally a series about action, growth, friendship and a bit of humor... the whole point is bending the 4 elements which fits much better in an antique setting rather than in an even more futuristic one... also they keep making the Avatar some supersensitive woman, and there's nothing wrong about women lol; But in a series where the main focus should be action and strength and self reflection... I don't see how making an even woker Avatar will do better than the already bad Avatar Korra... They took the spirits which were almost a symbolic element and turned them into just some ghostly-animals or used them as an excuse to give a boost to Korra's power(?) rather than it being a gradual growth like it was for Aang.
@@tatsukimasubut you don't even know if this new character is a "super sensitive woman" since we know nothing about her character's personality yet. If anything, Korra was not a sensitive character and was a bit dense/ aggressive but it was not good for the story imo. The avatar who was truly "sensitive" was aang, but that made him a good character. Imo Korra was hard to watch because her character wasn't sensitive or considerate enough to think her actions through before doing them. If the new character is a sensitive type, she will hopefully be less jarring to watch than Korra because at least she will consider her actions carefully before jumping into things too quickly and destroying everything. A sensitive avatar is much more like aang who took 3 seasons to figure out how to take out the fire lord without killing him. Sensitive can be a really good thing when it comes to the avatar's character
@@BeesRecipes Aang sensitive? If I'm not mistaken, it's korra the one that made most of her decisions based on what she felt like rather than wisdom. She didn't go through a character growth to the level Aang did. Also Aang probably cried once(?) and it was because he saw his best friend Gyatso dead, while Korra cried dozens of times. Aang was raised by monks and since the very beginning he meditated and knew the weight of his choices. (except for maybe escaping the Air Temple before the show started, but I justify that as literally being a 12 years old. Korra was like 16.) Idk what the next Avatar will be like personality wise, but this leak smells too much like Korra and even worse. So I'm assuming she will be similar to her when it comes to that. Aang wasn't "sensitive" at all for not wanting to kill the Fire Lord, it was wisdom and philosophy. Something that an hypersensitive character like Korra lacked. But I guess you can interpret whatever series you watch as you prefer, these are literally fictional cartoons so arguing too deeply doesn't make sense. Some may like certain things and some don't. I have a right to have my own opinion and you do as well.
If Korra does end up making a mess it would line up with the theme of each avatar needing to fix the past one’s mistakes. (Roku not being able to prevent the 100 year war, Aang with the inequality in Republic City) If they do end up showing what lead to Korra destroying the 4 nations I really hope they explain it well to the point where we understand Korra’s perspective. She gets enough hate already but her character is really good. It would just be bad writing to lose all the character development she’s gained over the course of her series, so I hope what she does will be arguably justified or something like she had no choice. I’m excited for whatever they do regardless, always happy to jump back into the Atla universe no matter what it is
Yessss!! Exactly this! From begining to ending i share ur thoughts, im very exited and happy about the New series, and i think that the direction their going with the series is a smart solution! Because it would be weird being in an advanced technologically future with guns and sh*t + plus bending. So yea pretty smart choice, at least my opinion. Also i think they wouldnt just made this choice just for the sake of it, so i believe there will be a very satisfying explanation why korra ending doing this, so this movie of hers would probably even more awesome than the aang movie😍 Michael and Bryan are never dissapointing
@ Agreed!!! Also idk if we’re in the timeframe for advanced technology yet but even if they do end up implementing something like that I have complete trust in the Atla creators
Yes, that would make or break the series before it even starts. If Korra did destroy the world there needs to be a logical reason as to how she did that. Obviously, for the writers reputation sake hopefully they write it that Korra was battling some ultra-powerful spirit and the fight led to global destruction or something like that.
Well yeah, but Korra's mistake is a MISTAKE. All the previous Avatars solved something and then caused problems due to either negligence or naivety. Korra never solved anything. Literally, EVERYTHING she achieved, save for the first season resulted in problems that were magnified 10 fold. In fact, she systematically undid all of the previous Avatar's accomplishments. So yeah she caused an apocalypse? Not surprising!
It kills me that the Legend of Genji was just killed off. Had so much great potential. I know it wasn’t an official avatar story but it could have been picked up as one.
@@EpicRandomness555 then Momo too. It's not her fault. It's the producers fault. Korra is just wasn't built well. Lets hope that creators utilize their broader time limit better for the new show.
And these new air-powered hover boards are the modern day versions of Aang’s air scooters. It seems this show is taking elements from previous avatar stories and mashing them together
I wish there was a dislike button for the content, not for the video, you made a fine video. But damn, this sounds dumb. I did not like Korra nearly as much as Airbender because it abandoned the fun unique setting for an edgier "modern" setting. I also really did not like Korra herself much, but I did like some of the characters in LoK. I do not really like the premise of Korra causing an apocalypse event, to set up the next show set in an apocalypse world. I know nothing will ever scratch the same itch as ATLA but I was kind of hoping for a return to form for the next one, not a double down.
@vcjg287 It could be, and not just trying to be negative or contrarian, but post-apocalypse is hardly a unique setting now-a-days. It could be a unique one though if they lean into what makes the Avatar world unique. I do not mean to entirely rag on LoK or this new show. I still enjoyed a fair bit of Korra, even if it was not necessarily to my tastes. I am also a Halo fan so the past decade or so has thought me to have zero expectations for continuations of series I grew up with. 😆 Lets just say I am not exactly excited to see this new series if this is the direction they take. But I am a cranky, [spirtually] old man. If someone else enjoyed Korra or this new avatar I am happy for them.
The beauty of The last Airbender was in the characters, art, animation, and music, with the plot overall really light. They need to move off that high concept plots because they're just not good.
This kind of feels like they went "You know the technology in this world is evolving a bit too fast and it could make the avatar obsolete one day so how about... a quick reset by Korra ENDING THE FING WORLD"
and it would be fine to have that as the theme! an obsolete avatar, maybe even depressed, having to walk alone as a remnant of something that has no use -- until it has! it could be ok, but no, major catastrophe it is!
@Drunken_Hamster Yeah. I think the timeline change/ futurism aspect is interesting, however it strays way too far from the original theming of Avatar and the story becomes lost in the reeds. This is adding a person v.s. the world element to a story that was always person v.s. person and always worked well in that narrative format. Adding ecological themes the mirror the modern world COULD work, if it was only loosely related to the previous entries or as a spiritual sequel. In this case, it really doesn't and so the same mistakes will be repeated for the sake of doing something different, which is usually an ill-advised decision when it comes to story writing.
@gamer7916 For plot reasons only. Not saying she won't ever bend earth. I'm just saying that in the beginning she'll probably struggle to properly Earth bend. Earthbenders are known to be at their strongest when their feet are on the ground. When you don't have an actual foot on the ground, I'm guessing it will just be harder for her. Especially as a child, and having to compete with another "Avatar". *Ming-Hua was also a water bending master when they were introduced. I doubt they were a master as a child.
I honestly hope this leak is wrong. I loved LoK. I loved Korra as a character, and felt the setting they gave us was a natural evolution of time passing and the world advancing. I really don't want a story where Korra's era at the Avatar ended with mass extinction event and possibly her sacrificing herself. I was hoping her character would have a long happy life with Asami and then the next Avatar would just be a new kid trying to make their way alone in a time very similar to our own.
Personally i want to think that this apocalypse did not happen because of Korra but because of terrorists (as one guy in the comments had said) and they used the power of spirit vine energy as nuclear bombs and Korra had to choose between either saving 20 or 30% of the population or none at all.
Imo, that's boring. For me, a main characters story is way better when there is suffering and challenge involved. The next avatar living in a perfect world creates no challenges for them to overcome.
I feel like the creators wanted to use their early draft of a post apocalyptic and futuristic world where awakens from cryo and is aided by a robotic monkey and a humanoid polarbear dog.
I liked the Avatar series because of the fantasy elements (no pun intended) taken from ancient China and rest of Asia common in the wuxia genre. The beginning of Korra being inspired by the roaring '20s Shanghai seemed like a natural progression, and worked nicely with the steam punk bits as well. But if this news is all true, they're going full Alice in Wonderland in terms of fantasy, or Horizon Zero Dawn...totally removing all all of the previous Asian themes and backdrop by the sound of it. It just wouldn't feel like Avatar at that point anymore. I would consider the Avatar series done at that point, and a part of me already does with how badly the Korra series ended off leaving the floodgates open.
There ia no proff it is how it works to UnaVaato, hell! There is no proff it woild really happens to any Raava avatar, orjerwise she would mention it to Wan in the flash back, but it as never mentioned by her.
@gabrielrasilva yeah, its never happend before so I see your point. But all this narative emphasis for years just to be a misinterpretation of the avatars of their own power sounds odd you know, lol. And it kinda makes sence to be true. We know when an avatar dies, Raava remains and jumps to a new body of the next nation. But the avatar state is when Raavas power(and of the previous avatars) emerges, gets exposed. If the body dies when she is "emerged", it makes sence for her to die along with it instead of continuing the cycle. And about Raava and Wan, even the reincarnation cycle wasn't something Raava told Wan until his last moments (maybe cause Raava herself was figuring things out since permanent fusion was something new even to her) just speculation now, but maybe after thousands of years she might have noticed that she feels the pains of the Avatars body too specificaly when its on the Avatar state and figured that she would die with the body if its on the Avatar State
yea aside from the logic of it its just bad writing too. one of the most important things korra did as avatar was defeat vaatu, so to be like "alright less than 100 years or so later hes back" would be so fucking stupid.
I hope these leaks were leaked by the studio themselves to gauge if fans like these ideas. And I hope they listen scrap this entire concept because no one is feeling this.
geeze Avatar has turned into FLCL. Multiple series, all caricatures of the original, and writers forgetting what made people like it in the first place. Hope i'm wrong, but so many series/universes have turned into this slop, it's hard to look at.
I hope they can make it work if they have any passionate people working on the project it could work. But yeah if they treat it like marvel or star wars it is screwed.
@@snoonan768something that killed star wars and marvel was peoole wanting the same thing again and again and complaining when new things came. This is why those series died, because they had nothing new to offer, they just regurgitated the same ideas and concepts forever. The world of avatar is very different, because its in constant evolution
@@vcjg287 Not exactly, Star Wars had a long story with all sorts of changes and new things, and then it got bought out and they scrapped all of that Legends content and decided to make a new rebellion and more Death Stars. The problem wasn't fans wanting the same thing over again, the problem was the company trying to follow a formula for profit.
@@vcjg287Adding to what the last post said, the sequel trilogy did do new things and everyone hated it,the problem with star wars isn’t the same as avatar, I genuinely think they forgotten their audience for Star Wars, that’s why you get good movies and shows like mandalorion, Andor and Rouge one that respects the lore and adds new interesting perspective and things like sequels , acoylyte where not only does it decanonise things but takes away from the the original story just for a cheap message.
It doesn't make any sense that the avatars are twins. If it's because that the dark avatar was successfully created than the dark avatar should be older than the avatar itself since the dark avatar was killed many years before Korra died. They are instantly reborn.
Vatuu was destroyed, meaning he would start growing from inside Raava, this may have been what drove Korra to destroy the world, and if upon Korra's death Raava and Vatuu found a new host right before the twins split in utero it could also have split the spirits.
Kinda makes sense tho with every release of a new avatar season the world building has gotten far more advanced. So with the new series we would be in an advance world that is very similar to ours with technology, so to fix this issue they have to reset the world building once again. And the avatar series was always an ongoing continuation of the last one so to tie this drastic change in world building together, they probably thought of a similar thing like this.
People have been saying opening the spirit Portals was a terrible idea from the start since Humans and Spirits tried coexisting but it didn't work out. Korra just brute forced it in the end and never considered whether it would have any long lasting consequences in the future.
@@thefanwithoutaface8105 The show's entire narrative theme and statements shows that Wan was wrong on sealing them away and keep separate..Korra did what was the natural order of things and the balance has to be kept..if not fuk humans cuz he don't know how to be truly neutral for 1 damn minute.
I mean, from the description I read, it sounds less like she effed up and destroyed everything, but more like she sacrificed herself to barely try to save humanity. The Seven Havens exist thanks to Korra reshaping the world to create safe pockets of civilization. At least, that's how it was described where I read it 🤷♂️ It's still a weird direction from a writing standpoint. Essentially, getting rid of the four nations, which are a pretty big thing in Avatar. It would end up leading to good writing/story, but it can easily end up failing.
@@despacitochick7718 yes agreed which is crazy this is being made by the original ppl who made the avatar series but it just goes against all there own lore and know ppl will absolutely hate korra even more when I think she is a great character just something that went against the the original she got blamed for I just don’t see the point in doing this go back into the past and there’s so much u can do it’d be fine later down the line after they done some other series but not the next thing to come out if that makes aince
2:03 if she is an amputee, I hope it is explained that she has to train harder and make up for the lack of physical movement, unlike Ming-Hua who was able to bend for....reasons.
I mean Ming Hua wasn’t part of the main cast so of course they didn’t have to show her backstory. We just asume she had to trained very hard to achieve her goals and for the White Lotus 🪷. We know they have a very strong will and determination when it comes to their main goals.
Yeah, I hope this is not accurate because her character development up until this point has kind of gone down the drain if this is the direction it’s going.
i think you misunderstood, korra is forced to reshape the world because of the apocalyptic event not that just ruins everything and there's no real significance to it
Past lives gone. The four nations gone. Twin Avatars bs. More modern technology bs. And they’re trying, again, to make the avatar world look more and more like our own. Everything good and unique about this franchise is gone. They didn’t learn anything from the criticism they got about the writing in tlok
Well when the "criticism" they got was just people crying like children because the show and Korra as a character wasn't EXACTLY like the original show, and Aang, and then claiming that everything they don't personally like is "bad writing"...yeah I can see why those opinions would be ignored.
You do realize that the INITIAL pitch was Aang’s series was inspired by Cowboy Bebop. Aang had futuristic gear and even Momo was a little robot monkey creature. Its natural that the series would get more sci-fi and futuristic as the years go on
I hope those leaks are false, a misdirection, or ideas that don't end up being used. It doesn't make any sense for Korra, who as the Avatar hosts Ravaa the spirt of balance and light, to destroy the world. Not to mention that it doesn't fit with her character at all. My best guess is that it's a situation where she saved the world by reshapping it somehow and her actions were misunderstood (again). As for the new avatar, I like her design, but not a fan of the street-rat background, as we've already had it with Kyoshi, nor the twin background that we had with Roku..It seems kind of unoriginal
I honestly hope that Korra causing the cataclysm thing is just a kinda "details lost to history" scenario and she actually stopped said cataclysm before it completely destroyed the world.
I hope cataclysm will not happen. Destroying the whole world and making already overhated avatar even more hated even tho she was one of the best avatars, are the worst decisions ever
This series is not where I thought it was gonna go: I thought the next series would be in a modern day like ours and if they did another series, it would be futuristic. I don’t know how the latter would work exactly.
Well there goes a meticulously crafted world with over a decade of lore and worldbuilding for yet another generic post-apocalyptic setting. What on earth are they thinking, this has all the components to be a disgrace to the legacy of ATLA, I can only hope I’m proven wrong
Earth Kingdom Avatars: declares the wrong person The Avatar Water Tribe Avatar: Are disliked/hated after their death I see a pattern. Based on these, it looks like Fire Nation Avatars are the normal mild Avatars and Air Nomad Avatars are the World Famous Avatars.
Ill just say it despite this being a rather unpopular opinion and seemingly going even more unpopular now but I LOVE Korra and I thought the show was overall quite great. Yea it had some ups and downs but thats life and I like it a lot despite and inspite its flaws. I really hope they dont do my favorite waterbender gal dirty.
@@silverstrike5904 The way I read it, and I hope its true, there was some kind of apocalyptic event that not even the Avatar could prevent, so it sounds more like she did what she could to save as many people as possible. Like a either I save 50% of the populate or ZERO.... doesn't have to mean its Korra's fault.
@@AdeptusSteve I don't hate Korra either. I think that it was doomed to be subjected to challenges. The show was supposed to only be a season at first, after its end the 2nd season was proposed and so on. Imo, season 2 felt disconnected from the first, likely as the devs thought it was the last season. When season 3 was allowed, they knew to connect the dots. Simply put, they didn't have full liberty to make an elaborate script that a season alone coudn't cover, and didn't know it all from the start.
If the setting of the next series is apocalyptic versus cyberpunk that would change up a lot and I wonder how fans would feel about that. If what you say about the animatics is true I look forward to see that design of everything!
Avatar in the future is quite interesting due to the turmoil of it being obsolete. Split avatar (one twin having 2 elements and another having 2 elements) is also interesting. While I did felt offput by the eye coloring, I’ll keep an open mind and believe it’s affected by technology.
Judging from these leaks, I believe this is definitely going to be a good show on it's own, but the lore and themes have been changed so much that I don't think it's going to be a good "Avatar Show", so to speak. It seems to be so different and diverging that it might as well be an alternate universe or timeline from the very fantasy-focused Avatar lore we already have. Hopefully these leaks aren't that true.
Ooh, if true, this is so exciting! Growing up as a disabled girl, there wasn't much good representation of disabled people, especially not as leaders or powerful figures. Now, the next avatar is going to be a disabled girl! I loved The Dragon Prince's depiction of disability, so I have high hopes.
if the next series gonna have korra obliterating the world and the four nations just to start this "post apocalyptic" type setting then I'm not really that excited about it... I didn't like the cyberpunk setting to begin with because that's too futuristic for me but I do enjoy the avatar series and so its whatever but now its like... I really hate korra now.
Tell me there's still a chance this isn't real. I don't want to see the destruction of Avatar culture and the world not be good. Like at this point everything Aang and Korra did to protect and advance the world and the technology of the world was in vain, it could have been an amazing idea for something new but not for the Avatar world😭
exactly, its like it all was for nothnig really, and that investing in the franchise is just seeing the scale of events grow, without any change to the plot (like goku or naruto or any shonen)
i think they just wanna rippoff kyoshi with this one because she is very beloved. also what's with ppl saying next avatar should've been male/the avatars are more likely to be male?? 2 consecutive avatars being male or 100 consecutive ones being female doesn't mean anything, which gender someone will have is %50 %50 think of having siblings. raava chooses the spirit itself
@@silverstrike5904 The original concept of the avatar franchise is that there can only be one person to bend all 4 elements, and that person is the Avatar. To have that split into two people is absolute bs.
These designs remind me of High Guardian Spice, and I don’t like it Also I’m sorry if I forget Korra and what happens in it(it’s been a while) but wasn’t the whole point of that series was progress, why are we going into a world that has pretty much no technology?
Just a personal opinion, maybe making stories about avatar from the past is a better fan service than making an entire new setting with striking amount of fan-fictional elements.
The "takes in wrong avatar to grow up rich while the real one lives in poverty" is just waaaay too similar to Kyoshi's origin story if you ask me. I highly doubt they would just flat out repeat the story from the Kyoshi books like that
Been saying this since for a long time now everyone debunked it , because to me after vatue (don't judge the spelling lol ) possessed a human by right a new avatar as him being the host must exist
The premises for this new avatar sound really cool. I hope they take full advantage of everything that happened in Kora. .The spirit gates were left open. .Kora lost her connection to all her past lives, so she could be the mentor to the new avatar like Roku was for Ang. .You mentioned the dark spirit from Kora s2. .The destruction of the 4 nations could serve as law and world building.

Naw she sucked the whole way through, she was a dogwater avatar and got weaker not stronger as a character.

I know this is making me feel like its gonna be completly different from what we know and love. To many spirits weird tech and the destroying the nations is scaring me
the new Avatar is going to do wheelchair bending
Korra was like 16.)
Idk what the next Avatar will be like personality wise, but this leak smells too much like Korra and even worse.

Her character is serviceable. It isn’t very good but she’s entertaining enough at least.

If only he had said the exact thing in the video that you are commenting on
I wish there was a dislike button for the content, not for the video, you made a fine video.
I mean, if you want a unique setting, you are getting it here.
3:51 Am I the only one getting Kyoshi vibes from her? A poor girl, a wrong avatar?
Yes but not one on one , its more in a twisted way
I mean yeah but with a twin
Man, this sounds like it sucks.
She probably struggles to earth-bend with one foot, and the earth nation has never had a way to pick the avatar, and so.....Kyoshi v2.0
Is it really you Jesus?
@@joelndoria6096 No, my son. Were all in a simulation.
If Ming-Hua can water bend with no arms, I don’t see why someone can’t earth bend with one foot.
The next avatar living in a perfect world creates no challenges for them to overcome.
this is a weird take on a fictional character, real people deserve peace and happiness, fictional characters gets problems to overcome
I feel like the creators wanted to use their early draft of a post apocalyptic and futuristic world where awakens from cryo and is aided by a robotic monkey and a humanoid polarbear dog.
I’m praying this is made up.
ong sounds somehow worse than Korra season 2
Let pray together
i mean... Unavaatu died while in the avatar state so his "cycle" ended with him. Vaatu would only come back in the next harmonic convergence
Yeah, there is real "Somehow Vaatu returned" energy here.
And even if the other twin was vaatu they can only waterbend because when Unalaq had Vaatu the only thing he could do is waterbend/spiritbend

$20 whoever came up with this also writes wattpad reader insert fics. Seriously, what is this.
It doesn't make any sense that the avatars are twins. If it's because that the dark avatar was successfully created than the dark avatar should be older than the avatar itself since the dark avatar was killed many years before Korra died. They are instantly reborn.
Vatuu was destroyed, meaning he would start growing from inside Raava, this may have been what drove Korra to destroy the world, and if upon Korra's death Raava and Vatuu found a new host right before the twins split in utero it could also have split the spirits.
this has gotta be some fanfic by a korra hater cause what the hell? korra destroys the world? well at least it's proof she's strong as hell.

Past lives gone. The four nations gone. Twin Avatars bs. More modern technology bs. And they’re trying, again, to make the avatar world look more and more like our own.
Everything good and unique about this franchise is gone. They didn’t learn anything from the criticism they got about the writing in tlok
I think they should go back in time, rather than forward
It's realistic. The Avatar franchise Is like our world and it's tech will evolve
Its natural that the series would get more sci-fi and futuristic as the years go on
We dont want or need realism in cartoons about magic glowy kids lol
I honestly, I’m interested. I think people are being way too hard on it when we don’t have enough information to decide if it’s gonna be good or bad.
I’m over it. Why can’t we get a prequel to one of the hundreds of avatars before aang
My guess is we’ll only get that in the comics.
This series is not where I thought it was gonna go: I thought the next series would be in a modern day like ours and if they did another series, it would be futuristic. I don’t know how the latter would work exactly.
That would be predictable, i think this idea is way more original
It is weird to think that the Red Lotus ended up getting what they want in the end.

Same, I really hope they don’t throw her character development away
@oywiththepoodlesalready me too
E;R is gunna have a fkn stroke lmao
The character design looks straight deviantart
From what I understand; it is indeed fan art.
If the setting of the next series is apocalyptic versus cyberpunk that would change up a lot and I wonder how fans would feel about that. If what you say about the animatics is true I look forward to see that design of everything!
Imma say it, if this is true, then this show might be even worse then that old ATLA movie that shall not be named…
how exactly
Bro the legend of korra fights in the background is so good
I think this is interesting, it has a slight similarity of Kyoshi story where people didn't expect that kyoshi is the avatar.
I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!
Well it’s not even avatar anymore
Turns out Bryke made Korra the strongest Bender.
Can't tell if this is a futurama joke...
@Wolkebuch99 Sadly, it isn't
As 2030 is approaching, more and more apocalyptic themes in movies/series are being produced. Strange
Predictive programming
We have been having apocalyptic themed stories for forever. Nothing new to see
Lmao what a time to be alive. We are speculating who’s the next avatar just like they do in universe 😂
Ahahhahhahhaha this actually made me laugh so much
lol so true! It's like waiting for the results of AGT, American Idol, or even the new President!
Avatar in the future is quite interesting due to the turmoil of it being obsolete. Split avatar (one twin having 2 elements and another having 2 elements) is also interesting. While I did felt offput by the eye coloring, I’ll keep an open mind and believe it’s affected by technology.
From what I understand the image is fan art.
Split Avatars wouldn't work. It'd cause waaay too many issues.
@@joesunday199 in the comment he said that its what he saw, sooo
@@JulioCesar-rj2xq He said he saw the Avatar. He never said he saw the Twin nor any sign of that Twin being an Avatar. Soooo....
I’ll still justify dear Korra’s actions ✨😇
same
The only thing that justifies bad writing is even worse unimaginably bad writing… And that’s where this series seems to be headed
@@Artholos ok.
@@Artholos tell me how is korra bad written in s3 and s4
I mean, they're putting so much time into the project; it's gotta be worth it.
This sounds like Tumblr Fanfiction.
Hopefully these leaks aren't that true.
i agree, its going to be a good show, just not what we espected from the end of the trilogy
What if they reveal that korra isn't the one that obliterated the world.
Genji sounds far better . love the idea of next avatar show! i like some of the ideas
are neither of these confirm or are they spinoffs, or are they just fan made stories? I though Genji was suppose to be the next avatar series.
No genji is fan made this is a leak so not entirely confirmed could be true@@blewflag9928
@@blewflag9928 that's fan made.
Great storyline for the next fire nation avatar 😩. I was hoping they'd give us a sand bender, similar to the genji fan fic for the earth avatar🤦🏿♂️.
i think they just wanna rippoff kyoshi with this one because she is very beloved. also what's with ppl saying next avatar should've been male/the avatars are more likely to be male?? 2 consecutive avatars being male or 100 consecutive ones being female doesn't mean anything, which gender someone will have is %50 %50 think of having siblings. raava chooses the spirit itself
Eh. Not a fan of the twin thing. Certain things need to stick to the original concept.
What is the orginal concept
@ is this a serious question?
@@takemetothelakes2412 I'm not trying to be funny or make an argument.
@@silverstrike5904uhhhhh........ You serious
@@silverstrike5904 The original concept of the avatar franchise is that there can only be one person to bend all 4 elements, and that person is the Avatar. To have that split into two people is absolute bs.
These designs remind me of High Guardian Spice, and I don’t like it
Also I’m sorry if I forget Korra and what happens in it(it’s been a while) but wasn’t the whole point of that series was progress, why are we going into a world that has pretty much no technology?
nahh this goes crazy
Just a personal opinion, maybe making stories about avatar from the past is a better fan service than making an entire new setting with striking amount of fan-fictional elements.
i will miss the ancient bending communities
keep up the great work dude! my go-to for Avatar content 🙏
The "takes in wrong avatar to grow up rich while the real one lives in poverty" is just waaaay too similar to Kyoshi's origin story if you ask me. I highly doubt they would just flat out repeat the story from the Kyoshi books like that
I was thinking the same thing
They should just do all 4 of the past avatars instead, give each one their own season to show their evolution leading up to aang
Been saying this since for a long time now everyone debunked it , because to me after vatue (don't judge the spelling lol ) possessed a human by right a new avatar as him being the host must exist
I kinda wish they adapted the legend of Genji fanfiction. I liked the sandbender origins. They could have made edits from there. Gave him a twin.
I liked the Sandbender idea for the Avatar but that as about it. Not much else was interesting. I guess I liked the "Sandbox" idea.
I wish that they could get behind the Legend of Genji and make it cannon.
Disagree. Legend of Genji was only OK. I wouldn't want it to be canon. It didn't have enough good ideas or particularly great character designs.
Its not april first right?
It's not
At least for now, those are just rumors, so fingers crossed.
Bro I love your channel. Keep going man 👊
The premises for this new avatar sound really cool.
Seems like the red lotus had a point
