I don't even have black hair (mine is brown) and it was all completely virgin when I started, but I've just been through 3 bleachings. Long hair is very hard to get lightened evenly especially when you have thick hairs. I can sympathize with you there, and also on the running out mid bleaching. But it looks great, thanks for sharing
The way that I achieved blonde-ish hair is by basically dying my hair in very spaced out increments. Faced wayy less damage this way because my hair had time to rest in between. I did a 30 volume developer with bleach and used a blue - violet toner. Then after a month or so I did the same thing again. This went on for about a year or so. Bleached it 3-4 times in the whole year and now its blonde! BTW I used lots of K-18 masks, slept in a silk bonnet, changed everything in my bed to silk, oiled my hair regularly and had lots of trims. It took SO long but it's to the level I wanted. I started with lots of box dye and previous color in my hair (I had to use color remover and waited for about 2-3 weeks after starting bleaching process)
Your hair has the asian structure and thickness, right? That's maybe why it was so difficult, but the outcome is amazing! You look great both, dark and blonde hair. Now when you do your roots use 20vol and a soap cap to retain the moisture (you may need two bleaching sessions or maybe not) and have some trims when necessary until you notice your hair feels better, also argan oil and jojoba oil (especially JBCO) are great for the hair and you will look amazing. Stay safe and enjoy your hair!!🤗❤️
I bleached my medium - dark brown hair today with 40 volume for about 35 minutes and it came out quite carrot 🥕 orange. I’m going to try it again in a few days.
the moment you showed the hair mask i legit thought you were going to eat it, but actually u use it as a hairmask😂 i like both blonde and dark hair, it suits u very well
it came out really nice. try using protein hair treatments and bond-building treatments like olaplex (there are similar, much cheaper dupes at sally’s). they help a lot more with restoring your hair health than just moisturizing masks.
You can't tone bleached hair with purple conditioner that is to keep up with your hair. You HAVE to tone hair with toner cause what you did isn't going to do anything but that happened. For you hair at the end you would have to take a purple( for the yellow parts ) and blue toner ( for the orange parts).
I feel like this color washes you out a bit because it’s pretty ashy I think a honey or maybe a darker root would look good. But you definitely rock it either way.
wow looks great! couple years ago I would always be super blond, make the mistake of going brown, went back to blonde etc (made the mistake 3 times lmao im stupid) and at those times when my hair was feeling dry or was dead because of all the dying and bleaching I always slept with a bunch of condition in my hair. at night I just put a handful of (cheap but good) conditioner in my hair, braid it, and the next. morning I would just rinse it and do that for a couple days sometimes weeks straight. would really help my hair be less fried.

I can’t tell you how many times in my 46 years I have driven to the beauty store with a hat on because I either screwed up or ran out of some thing lol
Going back to blonde again because the box dye is way too dark! For me I’m going to use a decouloring product first leave it alone for a couple of days(going to be orange) and then bleach it and tone it.

Now please do masks weekly and use a mild conditioner, maybe a Conditioning leave in spray and argan oil or whatever suits you best Dont wash often and dont keep using heat😢 it kooks nice 👍 i did the same last summer 😊it took me 4 bleaches ,there was lots of orange and black ends under the layers of pigment - hard to shift.I used feria bleach, loreal and in the uk this has a bonding repair and protect additive included inside .. here its called le blonding platinum and 3-5 boxes is a bit costly but worth it about 50 dollar in total and so well under 100 inc.a purple coditioner,a leave in one, decent shampoo and mask with my own L'Oréal 20 vol i swapped for the box developer because i did not know what volume it was - it may have even been 20 already but i didnt risk not knowing ❤🎉also try not to get bored go brown ,silver and never red its hell to remove but up to you 😮keep trimming and perhaps a root melt not much more Good luck 🤞
Do your roots LAST, no matter what. Even if you’ve bleached your ends twice, save the roots for last because they will always develop faster than the rest of your hair. Make sure the bottom is bleached to your liking before you touch the root. Save them for very, very last
My hair is thick and long af. Very healthy and it's hard to be damaged. I already bleached it 2 times and your first attempt was also my result. They're not fully blond. Imma gonna bleached it again cos I'm inspired by your video🤣

I am here the next day. I have bleached my hair 3 times tomorrow and again bleached my hair in the morning today. Now I have a copper hair color or orange sun set color 🤡. My hair is super healthy, regularly oiled. So I did’nt give time between 2 bleach session and my hair was not chemically treated ever before. My hair is not as smooth as before but is still smooth so I took the risk. Using 30 vol developer. I gave up I am just done. I will just put red color on the copper hair 🤡😭🥹

I honestly don’t think you did too bad, running out of developer might have been a good thing . Doing your roots separate is sometimes the smart move, and I see better at home results. Also once your hair is damaged, it doesn’t matter if you give it a few days or not, once the damage is there time isn’t gonna help much , but an olaplex , aphogee or k18( this one is $$$ but it works) is better after bleaching rather than giving it time . I think you did pretty good though

I ran out of developer too and I tried to mix what little was left and that shit started boiling so ofc I didn’t put it on my hair lol. Since I didn’t use the bleach stuff I had to go buy a platinum blonde box dye and thankfully it lightened to the color that the bleach did!
