How to bypass Windows 11 Internet connection and microsoft account login during setup
If you are setting up a new installation of Windows 11 and are unable to connect to the Internet, The WIndows OOBE or out of box experience will not allow you to continue.
This is pretty easy to bypass and will also allow you to create an offline account, bypassing the need to create or use an online Microsoft user account.
When you are stuck at the Internet connection screen do the following.
Press Shift and F10 to bring up the Administrator command prompt.
type the following command and press enter.
oobe\BypassNRO
Windows will reboot and you can go through the OOBE section and on the internet connection screen you can choose "i don't have an internet connection" and proceed to create an offline account.
When finished you can install the WiFi or Ethernet adapter drivers from a USB stick or CDrom
IF THIS FAILS
Use the username no@thanks.com
Use the password nothanks
This with glitch the login as it has been used too many times and allow you to continue setup.

What were the best/worst parts about W11 compared to W10 in your case? Was there anything that you missed from 10? Thanks again Mike :)
worst parts of 11 the need to login or have a microsoft account and the TPM and secure boot stuff is a pain, and mostly the fact that a lot of processors are excluded because of this

Also very useful for installing video drivers! My preferred method is to not let windows install the default outdated video drivers and I put my drivers on a usb stick! Makes life easier

Thankyou, this one worked for me.. for Win 11 Pro 23H2 setup, clean install.. laptop, after trying other instructions involving envoking the Taskmgr to end the network flow task, didn't work for me, the setup window changed but shows an error stating go back and try again, so tried your instructions. perfect. done!

Gigabyte Z790 aorus master DDR5 Motherboard. Kingston renegade fury rgb ddr5 ram 4 times 16gb. For now im using intel 7 13th gen cpu with integrated graphics. I will get a gpu with a EK quantum cooling plate in future.

Haven't heard of this method before. I just used the task manager and ended the "network connection flow" as Craftcomputing explained. But that solution doesn't seem to work anymore. I just get an error like; "oops we lost your internet connection" something like that. And after that I can no longer bring the command prompt to the front without force restarting my pc. Thanks for helping me and many other people out.

How do I bypass network screen if Shift-F10 is disabled?
Press 'fn+shift+f10'
Press 'option+tab' (The Option key is labelled Alt on keyboards in some countries)
Then you will see a UAC window,
move to that window by pressing 'option+tab' and then press 'yes' button.

Hi Mike, thanks for the detailed vid. I've tried it several times, but it I end up at the same screen without an option to not use a Network, so no difference. I've tried it with Reset undet the bottom of my Lenovo Z16 with the same results? Any suggestions?
Try using the username no@thanks.com and password nothanks it will glitch the installer and skip online setup

Hi all, this is partially working after Aug 29, 2023 update. New way is Ctrl+Shift+Esc, goto C>Win>Sys>cmd.exe; run as admin,; S mode error pops up; connect to wifi, login with MS account for S mode; and CMD will start working (disconnet WIFI); after that follow the steps from top (the vid). DONE DONE & DONE ;)
Ctrl+Shift+Esc brings up Task Manager for me.... how do you open "C>Win>Sys>cmd.exe" from there?

I'm clueless with all of this. I just bought and unboxed my pc and got to this point. It shows a few wifi options,including my own I've had. Asks for a network key. Again,not sure. Will doing what you did in the video hinder my ability to get this pc up and going normally for internet ,games etc?
this is more to avoid using a microsoft account, after the setup phase you can connect to your wifi or ethernet normally
