Bought one of these last week. Definitely rinsing with warm water between presses dramatically speeds up the process. I bought all the shapes. The snowman is out of this world!!!!
Seeing the thumbnail I thought this was the ever promised diamond cutting video, and I was ridiculously impressed with how perfect it looked.

We love our sphere press, and really wish this had been available when we made our purchase a few years back. I love the idea of interchangeable molds and would love the diamond and heart. BTW, wax seals will also work great to "brand" your ice cube. We have several. Larger seals work best, of course.
Holy Mother of God, that thing cost 500 euro!!! And it only makes one at a time...that's insane.
I think the clear ice is also huge for the presentation. The mold is really cool! But, much too expensive for what it is

Great video, thanks for sharing! I was surprised I couldn't find a proper video on their own website... how long does it take to make a piece of ice? Is it just suction, or is it motorized? And any recommendations on what to buy to make the raw ice cubes that will fit into the mold?
I would have liked it if you would have given me a time lapse and how do you make the clear ice?
Dude that’s beautiful I would love to see that in a drink prepared with really good presentation. The right glass, color. Like a butterfly tea cocktail that has that pretty purple color or a pink cocktail with the heart. Stunning. Sorry I like beautifully crafted and artsy cocktails with good presentation 😅

we'll make some when we do cocktails on the main channel. We made two hearts (broke one) but it we ran out of ice :)
LOL, when they send you a $750 dollar ice mold kit for free, then yes, this is the commercial. Shame it's sooo far from sanely priced, as it's a neat idea.

@@onlyverti I was about to say it's no surprise it costs $100+ given it has to be a big mass of aluminium for the heat transfer to melt the ice into shape. But $600? no effing way.

How big a piece of ice do you need? Will a 2" cube work or do you need larger pieces? That's about as large a clear cube as I can make in my freezer unless I took everything out to put a small igloo cooler in
you probably want to go the cooler route so you can cut a price that's completely clear.
Are you able to make the mold then freeze it for later? Like a week or two or even longer than that? I mean, will it still be clear as when it first came out?
Yes as long as the clear ice stays frozen from when it was milder it will stay clear. What makes the ice clear is a lack of air bubbles. If it stays frozen no air can enter so it will stay clear.

Good price! I mean yes it's for ice, so you're spending a bit on something so nonchalant..but really is it that unimportant, I mean these are fantastic, beautifully artful, and have a great potential for stabbing a robber in the heart with a heart..!

it took about 2 1/2 minutes the first time. But once the ice press was cold it took longer

5 minutes maybe, but it will take longer when it's cold.
What was elapsed time to make one?
The first one took about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. The next one we did, without warming up the press, took quite a bit longer
Does it turn on? Take batteries? How does it work? Does it include a mold to make the ice cubes before you put it in the press? Need more info!
It doesn’t need batteries it’s essentially a huge hunk of metal that reacts with the Ice as it presses it into the mold making a shape. It comes with a circle mold but other molds are available for purchase and you can switch them out. What’s cool about this product is that these ice presses don’t usually allow you to change the molds out
How long before some guy in his garage in Des Moines takes this ice mold thingy and crosses it with a salvaged coffee maker, getting it to make molded ice cubes in seconds?
it really needs to melt away the excess ice, actual pressing you just shatter it :)
but maybe one that's slightly heated to keep it constant... but then again water and extract doesn't really play well together
Correction- the first mold is shaped like quartz crystals(hexagonal). On a side note, i so badly want something like this.

you can often buy some at your local ice company or you can freeze your own

That’s not possible, you need a high thermally reactive metal like pure aluminum it can’t be cast due to tolerances, has to be machined...granted it also doesn’t need to be 300$ and this one takes the cake at £400+

lol yes, I suppose. You could just put it down though, on the side like people usually rest diamonds :) The look great in shallow coupes

they increased the price to £400. That's around $530 USD. Ridiculous. If you can make cocktails at home, save your money and buy good ingredients. Can't go wrong with classic cubes.

yes, they are a little expensive. If you just want a sphere there are some cheaper alternatives around, but once you start looking at diamonds and other shapes, you need to get individual presses and the prices goes up by a lot.

It will be hard to get it that clear with an ice mold. But yes, that's also an option :)

the unique feature is that you can change out the designs. But an ice press for $100 is amazing, we'd buy that all day

@@freepour I actually own Dave Arnold's Spinzall just for my kitchen bar, so I'm no stranger to spending stupid amounts of money for bar-gear that you, technically, don't really need. But I just can't figure out why the Atmos is so expensive. The materials aren't expensive to make and the result is one ice cube which you have to spend a lot of time waiting around for. It's a beautiful ice diamon... But it's just one. High effort, small result, huge cost, inexpensive materials.

It is very expensive, most ice presses are unfortunately. They are still very niche products.
