You forgot to mention that this song also has one of the most perfect (flute) solos in history of pop. It’s a hit in it self! No, really, I bow my head. This tune is near flawless.
If only it wasn’t so painfully out of tune
I think it could be more interesting to hear the sounds as you mention each music theory comment.
I wonder why you wondered about the beat in the chorus. It’s a super common/cliché beat trough out 60s soul, pop & rock music. It’s synonymous with this era. …(and much less of a punk beat in my opinion).
just make a video on The eagle's Hotel California, please
49th place on the list, it's gonna take a while
Hey Friedemann, the chorus drums are basically Motown - e.g. Uptight - Stevie Wonder; Keep Me Hanging On - The Supremes etc.
yes, right on. it's not punk at all....straight ahead Motown on the chorus (very 60's). lastly...the chord on the word "DAY" is a SUS4 chord resolving.
Was trying to figure out what you were saying rapidly, the “avoid” note. I guess you mean non-diatonic note? Also, you went far in depth with the harmonies without letting us hear them. We need that reinforcement.
I think he was referring to him singing the b7 instead of the 7 when he said “day”
hey man, i’ve been watching a lot of your videos lately, really great content !! i can’t sing but i’ve started to practice and i wanna be a great songwriter. even though i can’t sing, how can i get into the habit of writing good songs?
Very cool. Thanks for the breakdown of the vocal harmony composition. It’s something I’m trying to get better at so this helps a lot. Well done!
Thank you man!. I really like your videos, i’ve been learning like A LOT!. Saludos desde Colombia.
It would be so much better if you played each piece from the record right after you talk about it
Also doesn’t the chord progression change for the recorder solo? I heard nothing about the feelings from the song: loneliness and longing, right? What about the lyrics, “I’d be safe and warm if I was in LA…” Lots of technical language but no music to reinforce.
Sounds like he’s trying to get away from a partner too. I had no idea it is essentially a cover. Who knew. Still great tho. Cj
Can you plz react to BTS songs as in kpop
BUT please analyze FKA Twigs first. 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️ That'll be a super tough one. She's amazing & truly puts Ableton to great usage 💯! I love her songs "Cellophane" and "Mirrored Heart" (how can anyone but FKA Twigs even analyze that song? LOL!) Actually, FKA Twigs did discuss "Mirrored Heart" on Song Exploder which is on Spotify and it absolutely blew my mind how she said she pictured an opium den and that there were people who each had mirrors over their hearts and that each person had to find their match, meaning each person had to find a person who had the same shaped mirror over their heart. And no one had a match for her so she explained. What a wonderful imagination!
Please analyze XXXTentacion's music! 🙏❤️ Thank you!!!
Love your breakdowns. Next artist one, you should do Beck!

I'd love it if you did tiny dancer
Glad they finally released this!
I'd love to know to what chords the vocals actually amount to on any one note. Some of those chords sound sus4-ish to me, which I love... That openness and brightness is what I always felt MAKES that song...
muy bueno
