i didn't even think about ranking the characters based on their money, but i love this idea! we all knew chuck would be number 1!

I think Blair has more money because Nate was homeless for a moment, while Blair always had her luxury lifestyle
Nate was only homeless because the government took their assets and the rest of the Vanderbilt family refused to help them out

@@josipa34 i think it depends on if you're just talking about the wealth of the person or their family, nate's family is easily wealthier, but blair might have more of her own money/constant access to her family's money
Of the 2, Blair & Nate, Blair is richer because though Nate has Vanderbilt money it won't all go to him. also, Blair marries Chuck who is RICH RICH + do we really think Chuck would make Blair sign a prenup? no, man is obsessed (chair shipper here xoxo).

Blair definitely has more money than Nate, Nate has to share that Vanderbilt money and he is not even close to the front.. Blair’s family is not as wealthy but she is very much first in line as an only child, also marrying Chuck automatically bumps her to 2nd place as she has Bass money now too.
Chuck is the richest because he has 51% of Bass Industries, and Lily only has 20%. We can say he's richer than Blair because he could pay Blair's debt with the Grimaldis, which was said to be all the net worth of the Waldorfs. The only thing that happened to him was that he became illiquid, which means he used all the money he has in the bank, but usually, the greater part of a rich person's wealth is not liquid. So, Chuck still has Bass Industries, the hotels, and many other real estate projects. Serena hasn't really anything haha, and Nate probably doesn't have much because even though his family is very wealthy, they are also a very big family where Nate is only the grandson. So, until his grandfather and his mother die, his share of the family wealth doesn't belong to him, unlike Chuck, whose father already died and left almost everything to him.
i despide the Van der Woodsen's wealth so much because you literally can't tell what both lily and serena do for a living. They do not have a job, they're pretty much just parasites?? At least chuck has a business, but my favourites are Blair & her mom because they have a passion for fashion and blair's mom built an empire from it! (i can't remember if it was hinted at all whether blair's mom already came from wealthy backgrounds or not)

In the series finale the last scene as taken place in Blair’s house but it wasn’t the Waldorf penthouse that we have seen throughout the show. It was a different townhouse, I like to think it’s chuck and Blair’s home (fun fact that was Miranda Priestley’s house in devil wears Prada)
between the actual rich people, i think differently. because serena (and her family) literally do not have jobs (and lily is just a socialite) i’d think she would have less money than nate and blair. van der bilt money is crazy, so there’s no way those jobless money-leeches would have more money than all of that generational wealth (we also never hear serena getting any part of cece’s will). serena, being useless as she is, also is constantly going shopping and spending her money, so there’s no way it’ll last (blair does shop too, but as a fashionista it makes more sense for her to do this and her mother to securely fund her - they focus their money on clothes and not much else). between nate and blair, i believe blair has more money. if you are just counting them individually, blair has way more money than nate bc there are so many van der bilts meaning he’s not getting all of it, and he’s had money problems in the past so if we think about long term he’ll probably lose it again. whereas blair seems responsible with her money. if we look at relationships, blair still has more money because of chuck. in general, we know chuck has way more money than blair because he pays a dowry that would have bankrupted her but is fine for him.
Let’s not forget that Mr Chuck Bass is still Lily’s son which means I’m pretty sure he’ll be in Lily’s will too. He’s collecting money for real it’s like another side income for him!
I wish you just did individual networth, bc including their partner's and families' networth doesn't make sense since they would all have iron clad prenups and people were periodically cut off. You should have ranked it by individual net worth, and then what they could eventually inherit by family, and not included current lifestyles based on marriages bc that's not their own money

Dude Nate is number 1! Van Der Bilt money is legendary… that’s like Saudi money hahaha. Bass Industries and Rhodes $$$ is probably definitely in the millions to billions but VDB money is not even on the lists because they probably own the offshore banks that keep Chuck’s family money in it 😂
Nah, Nate is not even close to be getting majority of the Vanderbilt money.. Nate is very well off but I am quite certain Blair is richer because she is an only child and only heir to Eleanor’s money and also Harold’s (we never got much info but he must come from old money as he went to Yale). Nate needed investors to keep The Spectator alive, Chuck is without a doubt the wealthiest of all of them.
The one thing that still annoys me is when Serena ran into Charlie/Ivy in LA. Ivy tries so hard to not spend the money even though she had the checks and Serena basically forces her to move to NYC and then Ivy get’s Cece’s money for being a nice person and everyone gets mad at her for it. She tried not to do any of that.
