Hands down the best Battlefield ever made. Bring it back.
Getting aboard the titan and blowing the core after a hard fought battle was one of the best video game moments I've ever experienced. Especially if you manage to survive and parachute to the ground. Honestly, this was the last good Battlefield game.

last good were the Bad companies. after that its just pay to play noncence with downgrades
Considering how well-defended the Titan's interior was, your chances of survival were quite low.
Imagine how badass it'd be if a single player managed to overpower the entire defenses by themself and then make it out alive, after critically damaging the core.
That.... sounds like the greatest idea in the history of the franchise
I think the worst part about this is that, if they make a sequel/remake it'll be extremely on rails compared to the original. The titans most likely wouldn't be able to move, getting to them would be easier and more streamlined, and chances are the internals would be treated like mcoms instead of destructible targets. I don't really trust modern EA/DICE to make this like it was.
i dont trust the ability of the average 14 year old player of this decade. Can he think pre-emptively and do teamwork with all the memes and the social pressure on teamspeak in his mind? Back then, you could scream n-word all day and nobody took a shit. These days, vying to be a moderator to get to abuse an elevated power position is the cream of the crap pile and all kinds of nonlinear-sexually-aligned mayonnaise helo subcultures calling each other russian petty names. I remember in our timeline, things were easier. You just had a microwave burger with ketchup and a Lan with your little brother and had simple 256k modem with perfectly acceptable 1500 ping. There were no pink gaming chairs with extra accommodation for weaponized autism. Just good gaming

This still gives me so many chills. Easily in the top three of best intro cinematics (and probably the best ever in-engine). The score and the way the action is choreographed to it is just phenomenal, always gets my heart racing! Shoutout to Gregor Narholz who made the soundtrack!

@typicalviewer2 Well because the world hasn't been destroyed and neither has any resources. The story is the new ice age greatly diminished the land available for agriculture; the different factions are fighting over the small amount of farmland left. Cold weather is no deterrent to mining, drilling, or manufacturing.
Wonder if they should make a spritual successor to this game but set in a world where instead of an ice age, the world is instead ravenged by extreme runaway global warming

er, if the world is destroyed, where are people getting the resources to fuel all these magnificent war machines?
well there should be lots of resources left but i dont think there would be something left until 2142
I know this is old, but the issue is the 'new ice age' as its called and the issue is food, mining and drilling is still possible in cold weather, so these generations of humans are probably on some diet of genetically modified rations or foods of the sorts in very limited quantities, think about it, everyone's hungry, but everyone has a lot of firepower, war is inevitable, its a pretty interesting scenario, really wish they made a new one with a campaign so we could understand the story of this future a bit more.
