Pistorius was very paranoid that he would get killed or robbed, all the time, while he was back in South Africa. So he kept bats and guns in easily accessible rooms placed around his house.
That said, he totally knew that Reeva was on the other side of the door. Stumpy just used it as an excuse to bump her off because she was pregnant.

Unfortunately he was not charged with Murder, Not as we know it anyway ( which if he was Oscar would still be Rotting in prison) The judge took Murder one of the table saying that he could not of foreseen consequences of his actions of holding a loaded firearm at the bathroom door… pulling the trigger and killing who ever was behind that door .. so the incredibly corrupt judge convicted Oscar of culpable
Manslaughter which only gave him a ten year prison sentence… The South African legal system is incredibly corrupt and flawed

What an injustice that you can be jailed for not paying your TV license. And yet, for Killing a person you can be released? All because of a twisted out-of-date judicial system, just incredible! He destroyed a family, killed a beautiful young woman with everything to live for, and ends up walking away. May Karma strike him down for the horrific aftermath he has caused the victims family.. Absolute miscarriage of justice. But typical of justice in the new South Africa, the prison service broken like all state institutions. Inadequate sentences, and mass early parole at the end of every year due to overcrowding. As a serving police officer I was shot by two armed men who had committed multiple armed robberies and murders. One was later shot dead by police during another armed robbery, and the other was sentenced to twenty years. After only serving a few years he was mistakenly granted parole due to an “administrative error” The court then ruled that he could not be placed back into incarceration as it would infringe his right to the freedom he had mistakenly been granted.

His story was so obviously bogus, I don't understand how people were fooled by it. He found he was alone in bed and then noticed that somebody was in the toilet - the obvious conclusion to be drawn was that his girlfriend was in there. This is the kind of experience that anybody who shares a bed with a partner has had. I'm sure that in fact they had a row, he grabbed his gun and threatened her and she ran and locked herself in the first room she came to, unfortunately one that was too small for her to hide out of range of the bullets. He then killed her in pure blind rage. He should be locked up for at least 20 years more and have a lifetime ban on owning weapons of any kind.

    • @blackgirlsrock264
      @blackgirlsrock264 10 месяцев назад +6

Well said!💯💯 The story was so ridiculous and clearly not feasible, yet clowns defend this murderer simply because he’s famous! How do you shoot 4 times blindly through a door? If an intruder was in fact in the bathroom (unlikely), why not shoot once to incapacitate him or duh, lock the ‘intruder’ in the bathroom and call the police? If you have the ‘intruder’ trapped in the bathroom, why you have to shoot 4 TIMES? 4 TIMES? Sounds like overkill. A trapped person in a bathroom isn’t a threat, so why the need to shoot 4 times?
Plus you live in an apartment with another damn person. If he woke up and he noticed the girlfriend not in his bed, wouldn’t he assume the ‘noise in the bathroom’ could possibly be the girlfriend? My question if he had kids, does he assume every noise is an intruder? Kids roam around at night. Would he shoot his own kids? Probably not! But he shot his girlfriend! Weird!

I love how everyone in the comments is raging like brainless sheeple here, yet they don't consider that Pistorius's version of events can be true. Nobody paid attention to one, very important, and particular testimony of June, and the second testimony of Pistorius' friend. Hear me out, I've been following this case since day 1. Pistorius always maintained that he thought there was an intruder in the bathroom, and home invasion by a stranger was always his biggest fear, which made him paranoid since he doesn't wear his prosthetic legs when he sleeps, so he feels defenseless, and the person in the bathroom stayed silent, plus he just woke up, was disoriented but scared, and in the heat of the moment, he shot through a bathroom door.
If you actually watched and listened to two, particular testimonies and documentaries about this case, you would know that there is a very big possibility, that Pistorius was telling the truth. One is called 'Why Oscar Pistorius killed our daughter?' - in this documentary, June, Reeva's mother, is telling the story of how when Reeva was a young girl, there was an invasion in their home, and June was alone with Reeva because her husband and Reeva's father was not there at that time, and when the strangers were ransacking the place, both women hid in the bathroom! - yes, bathroom, from all places, and stayed silent until the attackers didn't leave. That's how they survived the ordeal, and that was their strategy of survival. I mean - chills! The similarities to the Pistorius case here are chilling.
In the second documentary/testimony, Pistorius's friend said that there was one time when he was staying with Pistorius, in his house, and suddenly, in the middle of the night, there was a loud noise, and it turned out, Pistorius got scared because the cooling fan fell over in the living room, Pistorius thought someone was breaking in and ran out of his room with a gun ready to fire, and in another case, he even shot! And this is a fact - I remember that the media even quoted the Instagram post when Pistorius himself wrote about this accident on his social media, when it happened, way before Reeva's death. So what does all this mean?
Well, it proves that Reeva had a history of hiding in bathrooms and remaining silent during a likely home invasion, and Pistorius had a tendency to use weapons in self-defense, in a rush of adrenaline. And this is exactly what Pistorius claimed happened: he woke up and was still groggy, he wasn't thinking straight, he didn't notice that Reeva wasn't in bed, Reeva went to the bathroom to pee, but suddenly she heard Pistorius calling out to her to hide because someone was in the house, so she froze in silence, in the bathroom, and didn't say a word, as she did in the past.
So Pistorius, tragically, didn't understand that she was in the bathroom, he thought it was the attacker, and he shot through the door. Everything fits perfectly with what they both have done in the past. And no one talks about it! And this is very, very likely. Even if we look at the circumstances: Reeva arrived at Pistorius's apartment all cheerful and happy, there is zero evidence that anything bad happened between them, why would he kill her on purpose? The prosecutor NEVER proved this was a conscious murder, there simply was no evidence of this.
It does not make sense. And Pistorius' version, if one really followed the details, makes a lot of sense! In my opinion, Pistorius always told the truth about what happened, it was a tragic misunderstanding - not a cold-blooded murder.

If he knows she gets scared and hides in a bathroom, why shoot blindly into a bathroom? And why the excessive 4 shots? How are you shooting someone 4 times and unsure of WHO YOU ARE SHOOTING? That doesn’t make sense! If he really thought it was an intruder, shoot once or twice to incapacitate the ‘intruder’ and then open the door to see who it is. He shot 4 times with the intent to KILL! His girlfriend!

Let's say it's likely true, but why shoot 4 times across the room in the first place? I presume one shot would've been a sufficient warning to the intruder. Anyways, the number of shots fired to me just feels too personal and he obviously knew who he was shooting at.

What are you smoking? You wrote a whole paragraph rambling about how his accounts "could" be true, based on nothing but your fictious interpretation that Reeva would not answer when her boyfriend calls out to her. bare in mind that Oscar is the one who thinks there are burglars in the house (according to his narrative) and he is calling to her while heading to the bathroom. She has been awake this whole time, she would know that she hasn't heard anyone break into the house. She is the one with the most awareness of the situation. There is no reason she would be silent, you have fabricated a narrative out of thin air.
And if anything, this is just as much an argument against Oscar's defence... It demonstrates that the bathroom was a place to AVOID burglars not find them, and that Reva has past experience of using the bathroom/toilet to hide from danger (like for example potentially hiding from a husband getting violent/dangerous). It also means that Oscar blindly fired shots into a room that he knows has been used as a hiding spot by Reeva to hide from home intruders, while under the belief that his home is being intruded..
Not to mention that you are also leaving out the witness accounts of the neighbours

What a disgrace this is. The sentence was corrupt and this is criminal. The justice system of a banana republic justice system and all that South Africa is.

Happy for you Oscar, stay out of trouble.....All the best for the coming year, 2024 .....Wow, SA is not safe, period! What are you talking about? To say that about Oscar, that you are scared of him......where do you live!! Take off your rose-tinted glasses and be truthful!! There are three sides to every story and nobody has heard that one ...which is the correct one.... People in SA very seldom do any time so yes, Oscar has done his and so let him be now...Where does " gender" come into the occasion now? I am so tired of addons to everything when one does not get their way....... Good for you old chap that you were not seen by anyone, love it!
