Me and her sang together in one of the Biggest South African School Choral Competitions and we knew right then, back in 2003 that she was a sensation! The way she sings leaves me with tears, my inner parts want to come out to see the beauty that our ears are experiencing. Her voice is like seeing Angels walking on water, everything in white, shaded in God's Love! Pretty Yende, I adore you and will always appreciate your talent! So emotional right now!
My wife and I heard Pretty Yende when she competed many years ago( and long before she achieved international recognition) in the Aria Competition in Savonlinna Finland. We and I expect everyone in the audience knew instantly that she would not only win the competition but would make a unique contribution to opera world wide and how right we all were. Jim Mann
