It is extremely pleasant to be able to learn from a confident, friendly, and beautiful teacher.
Thanks 😇
I'm a baritone and this lesson still helped a lot.
Thank you for your valuable lesson. As a lyric-spinto tenor I sang this few years ago at the church focused on big voice with feeling. Your lesson really hi-lites the technical aspects. One must master the technical side first while trying to express the sacred message as intended by Franck.
Our choir director is very ambitious with throwing Latin at us. Thank you for the annunciation. You have a beautiful voice.
Thanks for the lesson. I am preparing this song for my grade 5 exam. Your lesson is helping me with the refining of the final details.
Me too. I have the exam this Thursday.
I sang this in a solo competition 40+ years ago and your comments echo my high school choir teacher's instructions which took me right back to that place and time. :)
Thanks for the lesson. It is helping refine the last details of this beautiful song for my grade 5 exam.
I just could imagine my singing teacher saying the exact same things! Love your videos!
This is such a great lesson, so many useful details! I've attempted this in solo lessons as well as in church choir. I need to watch this several times as there's such a wealth of valuable information to absorb.
I wish you would sing the whole piece as we are singing it in church Sunday! Thank you for your help with the pronunciation!
Am learning the way you teach how to sing it well..beautiful..interesting
She is very good teacher 👩🏫
I sung this song a few years ago. Now I am going to learn song again with your guide and tutorial❤
Thank you! I needed the pronunciation guides you provided. The only thing I needed was for you to sing it all the way through so I could practice with you. This was wonderful!
Dear freya - I am preparing this song for an audition and this your video is enormously helpful. You have inspired so much more confidence in me. I'll continue to practice this with you. Thank you so much for this . 🥰
I performed this piece 18 years ago auditioning for a music scholarship, but unfortunately I didn't make the cut. I'm revisiting it today and really appreciate all of the details you brought to practicing and performing the piece. Do you happen to know of any any baritones who do what you do on RUclips? I think individual vocal lessons could have made all the difference for me back in the day, however, now I have a totally different adult voice that I've had years to settle into and I really think I could be better than I was back in high school. Thanks so much Freya. :)
Thank you! I was recently asked to learn this for church. Your lesson is so helpful.
Wonderful! So glad I found you because I'm singing this at mass for my parent's 70th anniversary on the 17th. This was a great refresher!! Thank you!
Thank you so much Freya… so generous of you. 🎶😍I feel so helped and lucky, as I have to sing this in our Cathedral tomorrow together with the choir. I am a soprano, more mezzo, but I always sing the melodi. So this has helped me so much in the higher notes. All the wonderful important details on how to shape mouth and tongue. I am very thankful. 💚
I found you!
Your are a treasure.
Uruguay
Best Video ever on how to sing, I am hooked. Keep them coming. It all makes sense.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR LESSON - I REALLY APPRECIATE IT. I WOULD HAVE LOVED TO HEAR YOU AT THE END SING IT - YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL VOICE.....
This was very helpful! I find this song to be an excellent measure of where I am vocally, as it requires me to sing with open vowels, and to have good breath control. So thank you for this great lesson!
This is one of my favorite thank you for the finer points in singing this.
I have sung this before. It was helpful to listen to little bits to make it better for Mass next week. Thank you!

Love you're videos, they are very helpfull!!❤ Could you perhapes make a video on how to sing lascia ch'io pianga?🙏 Could you also sing through the whole song at the end of "how to sing that song"? It would have helped for the understanding of the song as well as summarizing it well 👌😊

I would love so much for you to teach us how to sing some baroque arias from the book, 24 Italian Songs and Arias. Like:
Caro mio ben;
Già il sole dal Gange
Amarilli, mia bella
Sebben crudele;
Vittoria, mio core;
O del mio amato ben;
Ombra mai fu;
Plaisir d'amour.
Wonderful explanation👏👏👏👏👏

Thank you for the lesson. I am practicing this song, trying to recover my voice from a vocal cord injury. Would like to restart singing in public again as a soloist.
Beautiful lesson. Thanks
💚💚💚
Super helpful … do you think you’d amend any of the advice if you were directing this at a tenor or baritone? Seems like most of it would work for all ranges?
Thank you 🙏🏽
i am practice this song
❤️
Can you do a class in the differences between solo and chorus singing?
Hi Freya I have been working on this one
I'm a bass baritone. I love this song a lot. I am looking for a perfect key to sing this song on.
We are practising for evening song at church ⛪️
I learned a lot from you. Is it possible for you to sing HE? Thank u.
😂🎉great 😂🎉🎉
Thanks for this lesson. I learnd mani things , specially how to say ; A;E;I;O;U. Et was not easy for me.
I like to sing this song, and I will get the music sheet first.
There is no vocalized initial "h" in Ecclesiastical Latin. "hominum" is pronounced "ominum."
Hi Freya, whats the Tom of this music?
Do Any Dream Will Do
hEYYY FIRSTTT
👍👍👍🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
I need to learn how to sound gregorian
I misread that first word.
None of this is correct. Franck was a French speaker. This modern mania for pronouncing Latin as if it were Italian was not de rigueur in his time; applying it to a setting from the 19th century in France is anachronistic. For an authentic pronunciation, see the recording made by Juste Nivette.
I' so grateful for your lesson. You help me so much . Grazie.
