He is literally me once again 😂
Great movie 🎥🍿
Loved it
Seeing it again tonight in 4DX
Let's see all the effects
With the cinema colleagues :P
Best action movie for me is total recall
You'd have to be zonked to promote Monotony Go the eff away.
I will SEE IT. Isn't Lee Majors got a cameo? BTW, my REAL Major's TV show I want to see into a motion picture, of course it's the Six Million Dollar Man(updated to Billion).
The Oscars really need a Best Stunt category. They deserve all the love!
Yeah, until Tom Cruise snipes the win lol
@@yorttroy I still would have given best stunts to John Wick 4 in 2023 even with the M.I. movie
They even mention that in the movie
while I agree stunts need more praise, having it be an Oscar category might encourage people to to do more and more dangerous stunts
@@umanuuThat's a good thing.
An actor playing a stuntman who has his stunts performed my stuntmen 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Directed by a former stuntman (David Leitch is the co-director/producer of John Wick series, same as Chad Stahelski)
I like if they don't recognize them in the credits WITH photos/video then it's a missed opportunity considering the source material.
Its Stuntception!!!!
Gosling plays an stuntman in Drive as well
Around the Fall Guy TV show there was a whole collection of movies either about stunt people doing outrageous stunts while "making a movie" or movies just centered about an outrageous stunt. Burt Reynolds was the king. Hooper 1978 being one.
It's criminal how stuntwork is so severely undervalued in the industry.
"Its too dangerous to do tho.. so do this for less money... also if you get hurt we blame you "
Do they still have the stuntman awards
The irony is if this movie was ever nominated for an oscar.. it’ll the first time the oscars acknowledge stunt people.. at the Oscar’s.
So many roles are looked past and undervalued. Stunt men is definitely one. I’ve known a few, broken bones/surgeries are just part of it.
@@npcimknot958 Yes, I've always wanted to see stunt people get acknowledged at the Oscars. They absolutely should be.
Full circle for director David Leitch. He was a stunt man/ stunt coordinator who became a director who is now directing a movie about a stunt man.
That's cool, I had no idea
Directing a movie about a tv series about a stunt man
Ryan is GREAT at comedy. The Nice Guys is so underrated.
That is one of my favorite buddy-cop movies of all time. I laugh so hard with that movie and at the time, I didn’t think Ryan Gosling could do comedy.
"There's whores here and stuff"
It's underrated so bad that it's sad how underappreciated it is
@@isaiahperez357Nice Guys & Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang are the two movies I consistently recommend to people.
@@StormX6 Same here. Now I want to see him do more comedies.
As long as it was Kenough I’ll watch.
He seeks love again but this time Emily is Barbie
@@FireJachPoor bastard going from Margot Robbie to Emily Blunt.
Ken and Kitty Oppenheimer
I believe enough time has passed for Ryan Gosling not eating his cereal to have a sequel.
It did...he finally ate his cereal
@@Zahra.Basiri huh?
The guy who originally made those videos died. Ryan Gosling made a video of him eating his cereal in his honor.
@@VincentStevenStudio oh. I was not aware. That's pretty cool of Ryan Gosling.
What ? I’m confused
Stuntguy thumbs up if you think Jeremy should keep the buy it on VHS rating.
👍
I saw this last Wednesday. I'm from Australia, and it was awesome watching the action scenes within the streets of Sydney.
Saw it last Friday, ditto.
Saw it today at IMAX melb. Loved it!!
Me too mate! From NSW. Now have to get that shrimp on the Barbie after wrestling that Roo!
"Drive" with Gosling also a stuntman is sneaky a top ten of all time for me. Therefore Gosling as a stuntman I am automatically in.
Oh shut up!
Saw Fall Guy last saturday and I didn't look at my watch a single time. Which is rare these days. I was thouroughly entertained for 2 hours and 6 minuites.Gosling and Blunt had great chemistry. Looking forward to rewatching it at home.
The oscars really need to recognize Stunt coordinators and stuntman. Especially now. I’m excited for this one, myself. Glad you liked it, jeremy
Who else is old enough to remember the show with Lee Majors?
Classic!
Heather Thomas!
Heather Thomas yup I was 11, old enough to understand that she was built different...
Also great theme song!
Top 3 favorite action movies:
1) Mission Impossibe: Fallout
2) The Raid: Pt 2
3) Casino Royale (2006)
I'm so happy you liked it Jeremy. Seems like the Stars are bringing people back to the movies, and it's not the IP anymore. So excited to see this
Umm....it's still the ip, my friend almost every original film (with the exception of civil war has flopped this year and no dune 2 does not count)
This is a movie recycling an old 80s IP for the nostalgia, not an original film.
Stars 🥴🙄
@jovonsaintlouis125 how many people seeing this movie actually knew it was based on a show from 30-40 years ago? I sure didn't. If anybody seeing this, most people aren't because they just loved the show.
@@101Mant it isn't 100% but most people besides people of age or die hard movie fans don't know these facts so it's pretty damn original. Nothing is original anyway.
Appreciate the early review - glad to hear you liked it! Definitely excited for this one.
As for my favorite action movies?
Die Hard, Terminator 2, and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
I'm yet to watch any of them!
@@levipeterken4020 ... you've not seen Die Hard, T2, or Raiders?

@@Jogwheel Yeah haha I don't know how I haven't. Relatively young viewer and been watching all the modern classics I haven't seen like Wolf of Wall Street, Django etc.
Haven't gotten around to watching the older ones yet. They just weren't something I grew up with

Bro you aged like fine wine. I watched your vids religiously back in the 2010-2013 days , saw your channel again recently and I must said I’m impressed by the longevity. You look amazing as well 👍🏽
I'd figure Keanu held quite a few properties on "Being a cool actor"
Yeah agree, 100%!!! Keanu Reeves has "that market". Ryan has a long way to earn it yet...
My thought exactly
He’s cool guy in real life but a shitty actor. Can’t even deliver lines.
@@kencrowe1965To hell with the earn. He's Ken😂
@therotten6152 and that says a lot about him... Not including ALL the random posts about him interacting with regular people, getting up from a subway seat so a woman can have his seat, chatting with a very young fan asking him questions at an airport....The LIST GOES ON
Your analysis has grown deeper with experience, while never feeling pretentious. What a joy it's been watching your growth through these years.
This has me wishing Nice Guys did well enough to get a sequel.
That truck is the true star of both the tv show and movie.
yes.. they made a BIG thing about the truck in the movie, my Aussie friend said to me, "Why do they have a left handed truck in Australia?"
The dog was a big star in the movie, was there a dog in the TV series?
I grew up with tv shows like The Fall Guy, Riptide,Simon & Simon, Battlestar Galactica,The A-Team, ALF, Remington Steele, Scarecrow and Mrs. King, Hart to Hart, Matlock und Miami Vice.

How is Jeremy not at 2 mill yet? We gotta get him there. The man deserves it
Can we just stop a moment to bask in the knowledge that we're having an amazing year for action movies so far?
Now we just need the new season of Warrior to drop and we're gold.
The only thing that would make it even better is if Gareth Evans announced The Raid 3.
Warrior was canceled unfortunately.
@@user-fc2tj8lf2m Fuck. We're truly living in the worst timeline.
He has yet to release his current movie "Havoc".
I noticed that as well. At least we're getting one positive trend in modern cinema.
Fall Guy was based on the Burt Reynolds movie "Hooper", which I believe was directed by a veteran stuntman. It started a short mania over recognizing the work and expertise in creating movie stunt work and led to the Fall Guy series.
HOOPER is 1000 times better than this garbage.
I mainly wonder two things stemming from the original tv series:
1. Does Lee Majors make a cameo?
2. Does the song “ The Unknown Stuntman” play somewhere, even if it is in the credits?
1. Yes
2. yes - with Lee Majors singing it (credits scene - to Link with the tv show)
Thanks
yes and not only him
@@FireJach Heather too?!
Lee Majors was badass
Well I’m not the kind who kiss and tell, but I’ve been seen with Farrah (one of greatest series songs ever)
Ironic that Lee Majors was married to Farrah Fawcett in real life (a funny part of the song in the Fall Guy). Everyone who watched the show in the 80s knew that. Fun times! Farrah also appeared in Six Million Dollar Man a couple of times prior to their marriage.
I'm really looking forward to watching this movie.
Favorite action movies from the 1980's- Die Hard, Aliens, Indiana Jones 1-3, Predator, & The Terminator. From the 1990's- Armageddon, True Lies, Point Break, Speed, Total Recall & The Rock. From the 2000s- Minority Report, Mission Impossible 3-6, Bullet Train, & Guardians of the Galaxy 1 & 2. (I have more but these are among my top fav. action movies that I most often recommend to others.)
Nothing wrong with telling us your genuine reactions to a movie. It doesn't have to be universal. Thank you for being a reviewer who is in touch with what you are feeling and can articulate it. That is all an audience can ask.
My brothers and I watched The Fall Guy every week for the 5 years it was own. In the series though, Colt Seavers also worked as a bounty hunter for Markie Post's Terri...Michaels I believe. His cousin Howie would help out n the cases, and was a stuntman-in-training. And the cast was rounded out (In more ways than one) by Heather Thomas' Jody Banks, a fellow stunt person who helps Colt and Howie on the cases. I was never a fan of Ryan Gossling until I saw The Nice Guys. I wish it had done better because I would have loved a sequel. Favorite action films-Die Hard, Armageddon and Big Trouble In Little China.
funny you should say that, Colt Seaver's bit.. The Fall Guy 2?
"I might jump an open drawbridge,
or Tarzan from a vine
’Cause I’m the unknown stuntman
that makes Eastwood look so fine"
I'm fairly sure this will bear little resemblance to the tv show, but it does look like fun.
My favorite action movie is Hooper. Burt Reynolds, Sally Fields.
Great film
I'm hoping all this Ryan Gosling hype with barbie and the fall guy really makes the studio green light the nice guys 2
please
Sadly in a recent interview he stated that it might not happen due to box office performance
Then people would complain how the sequel doesn’t live up to the original and how the third movie is a dumpster fire we know how this goes
It’s not happening hahah. That movie doesn’t need a sequel
I usually skip the in house ads Jeremy but i've had a wee smoke, you don't do ads that often so i thought why not watch Jeremy sell me some Monopoly games and enjoy his natural talent in delivering an entertaining commercial! Thank You Jeremy you very good lol! (whispers softy into you ear stoned).
What about the intro music? You can tell, I grew up in Germany... Big hit over there
One of the best theme songs from the 80s! Lee Majors actually sang it!
The transitions for the sponsors are getting better and better 😂
It makes the most out of Ryan Gosling's and Emily Blunt's chemistry.
Some badass pratical action set pieces.
Accompanied by a slick soundtrack that flows evenly with the kinetic energy of the movie. 9/10 👍
damn almost 2M subs brother, its been a wild ride
Cause it was filmed in Sydney Australia, it was released over a week ago in the land down under. If you like Chips, Baywatch, Starsky and Hutch, The Saint, The Brady Bunch and Miami Vice movies, then you'll like The Fall Guy. If you hated them movies, this movie is NOT for you. One pet pev, Kiss's "I Was Made For Loving You." became an ear wig after the 60 minute mark.. we get it already
I was made for loving you babe
You were made for loving me
Cause tonight....
@@luxurybuzz3681 EAR WIG.. even typing the review this morning, that song was stuck in my head... and now, again.. Thanks for that
Thanks for always helping me chose what movies are worth seeing. Def options differ from one to the other but ur pretty spot on the reviews
Jeremy, you have been so down right entertaining for so much of my life at this point and continue to do so
Jeremy’s face before an ad read always reminds me of a friend saying I gotta do it. I know you don’t want me to do it, but we both know that I’m good at it dammit.
Would love to see you review Lethal Weapon and Rush Hour someday
Would love to hear your thoughts on Challengers
Appreciate your humour, wit and creativity Jeremy. Thanks for the laughs and good times....don't know about a favourite - so hard to choose but recently John Wick 4 had me laughing, ebullient & shaking my head in disbelief at just how clever, OTT, balls-out amazing MOST of the action set-pieces were.
Jeremy, please tell me they work the theme song to the TV show, "The Unknown Stuntman" somewhere in this movie. Also, you should check out the original series with Lee Majors, and the girl that brought a lot of young men into manhood (me included), Heather Thomas. She proof that God hates blind people.
They do. Blake Shelton sings it.
The Rock will always be my favorite action movie, Nick Cage and Sean Connery are just too much fun together in it
I'm old enough to have vague childhood memories of the show - mainly the theme tune tbh. In the trailers it looked fine but not unmissable, also doesn't really appear to share much DNA with the original show beyond the name and basic premise. Gosling and Blunt are both good fun though so I might still catch it on streaming later.
@7:02 - Hard Boiled? T2? Ninja Scroll? Aliens? Impossible, I'd spend a lifetime deciding a top 100 T_T
I loved the Fall Guy TV show when I was growing up. I was interested when I saw the first trailer, and this review makes me REALLY want to see it!
You're gonna be disappointed.
Recently saw the first Mad Max movie. Don't know if it's the best action movie I've ever seen, but it was different, all right! Thunderdome is next!
Hey Jeremy, long time sub. Just checked you out at Total Wine. Didn't click for a few minutes, but was cool meeting you. Keep it real.
Running Man, Demolition Man, Fifth Element
"I'm never one to Kiss and Tell, but I've been seen with Farah." Yep I still remember the theme song from Fall Guy. great 80s fun but dumb show (like most of the great shows from the time, all about FUN). Too bad Hollywood forgot about that little word for the most part.
That ad read transition was pretty cool I gotta say
Do I need a drink for this one??? I always follow what you prescribe Dr. Jahns lol
Physical media is not dying, Jeremy. In fact, it's better than it's ever been right now 💿
I so appreciate a quick and to the point review 🙏
That is the second Face/Off reference I’ve heard today, what the hell. 😂
Was a huge fan of the TV show as a kid.
I know you primarily review modern releases but I wanted to mention the terrific dark comedy "The Stuntman" released in 1980 and starring the iconic Peter O'Toole, Steve Railsback whose filmography is quite interesting, and the versatile Barbara Hersey. My favorite action film is George Miller's The Road Warrior/Mad Max 2 starring Mel Gibson and many excellent set pieces. It's lean, and mean with little in the of the way of nitpicks.
days since Jeremy said the movie could have ended 30min ago : 0
(you're great Jeremy never change)
I don't know if that's a sign of "old man syndrome", but Jeremy you're not the only one who whines about current movie run times. I'm not saying that back in the movies were "better", but in general they were definitely shorter. And most of the people involved in these now 120+ minute affairs aren't good enough or interesting enough to hold our attention span, which dilutes what could be a better movie experience.
As an honest question, where have all the producers and editors gone that would have normally trimmed down average movies into good movies? There is an art of saying what others say in five words you can say in three.
Been waiting for this review! Very smooth with the sponsor.
same kind of appreciation when you see the creative process for a band creating a song after hearing the song for ages
Given streaming services and how fast movies come to them after releasing, I would love to know in your reviews if a movie is a Cinema must watch or a wait for streaming

On a related note, I recently rewatched the original "Star Wars" trilogy on VHS and remembered that the version of Episode IV that I have supposedly will never be available again, which is kind of cool in a twisted way 😁.
Update: I saw "The Fall Guy" this week and it was just as entertaining as described in Jeremy's review - I also liked how during the end credits there were behind-the-scenes footage of Ryan Gosling's and others' stunt doubles filming their scenes.
I'm excited! I was hoping for "Good time, no alcohol required." Would have settled for "Good time if you're drunk," but "Buy on VHS" is great! I'm actually looking forward to seeing a movie for the second time in about 6 months!!
Marge Simpson: I gotta stop fantasying about Lee Majors
"He's so cool he doesn't even eat his cereal?"
What the hell does that even mean, dude?
Its an old meme reference where a spoonful of cereal is shopped into videos of Ryan Gosling turning away.
There's a video where someone's watching Ryan Gosling movies and offers a spoonful of cereal to TV screen just as Ryan's character dramatically turns away, like he refused to eat it.
That segue to your sponsor was smooth…nice…😂
I don’t know what was on screen at the 90min mark but there’s no way Jeremy thought that was the climax of the film. They don’t really reach a conclusion until the conclusion lol. Anything prior to that would’ve been an incomplete story
I would like to think a decent number of people got the Ryan Gosling cereal meme but the internet ages quickly.
Jeremy grew up with The Fall Guy
He's not Chris.
@@aaron827 tell that to Zod's snapped neck
Saw it last night and it was a good watch! The trailers did phenomenal job of selling the vibe and movie stuck to it.
AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE WATCH THE END CREDITS SCENE!!
I love the credit scenes where they showed actual stunt people doing their work😊 also a throwback to older movies ❤
VHS again just like The First Omen?
Emily Blunt has yet to turn down a script for anything at this point
Good scripts, mind you.
She's been great in everything I've seen her in. Should've won the Oscar for "Oppenheimer"
Shes against the strong woman trope in recent movies so you know she turned those down
But she's good in them imo, but if you don't like her maybe it's annoying.
I'm off to watch it in a couple of hours and it looks like I'll be looking out for things I recognise in Sydney, where some of the action was filmed. Also, I used to run home from school to watch The Fall Guy in the 80s. I still know the theme tune. Every 80s action series had an awesome theme tune.
[edit: Just watched it and it was really enjoyable]
I am looking forward to seeing this. I'm taking my son, who loves 90's action movies. His favourite movie is Speed. He's also looking forward to seeing it.
The last time I was this early, my girlfriend left me
Why haven’t you reviewed challengers
Favorite action moment. Jeremy hitting the camera with his IRON FIST!
Surprised Jeremy hasn’t created a space for his community yet an official discord server would be fun for the community, having review suggestions, community top 10’s, a “looking for” section to help people find stuff and similar alternatives.
Feel like it’s something that can have a lot of potential for the channel and if he can find a way to monetise that’ll be even better for him
One of my favorite series growing up, for two reasons; Heather Thomas. 🙃 Probably not on dvd (past season 2) or on tv for music copyright reasons.
I had the opportunity to see this a few weeks back and it was a lot of fun! If you like Leitch/Bullet Train then you will absolutely love this movie. If you didn't, you actually might still be able to!
Nice timming, I've been watching the tv series again, Pure nostalgia from when I was 7.
Shocked but good to know. Love RG.
I know it was an ad, but thank you for giving my Ryan Gosling his flowers. 😍He’s my husband once I get these papers illegally notarized 😂
Favourite action movie.. Many to choose from.. But I'd have to say True Lies/Bond/Terminator 2/Raiders of the lost ark/ Star Wars
Honestly I really enjoyed this movie. I thought the scene towards the end, right after they're searching for post-its when Ryan Gosling starts talking about the monologue going on too long and the bond villain aspect, too much exposition etc, was probably one of the best scenes. Just that whole good 15 minutes made it worth it for me. Really digging Ryan Goslings movies of late, really hoping he sticks around as is for at least a few more Hits, no pun intended.
i love how ryan can navigagate movie genres so well. i mean should have a category for stuntwork at the oscars years ago
Saw the first showing in my local. Bloody loved it! Everything they set out to achieve, they do it great!
Saw it at SXSW and thought it was a blast. I'm glad they really hammered home that its a movie for stunt doubles by stunt doubles. I was worried that would only be for a part of the movie but the whole third act is literally about stunt crew team up. Really enjoyed it
A Solid film🎉❤🎉 great popcorn flick. Great backdrop 80% of film in Australia. Walked around parts they filmed. I'd be shocked if Drinker craps on this. I really enjoyed it my top 3 of 2024 thus far. Good homage to film
I wasn't going to see this until you said that it was based on the TV show but now I must see it! Dunno how I didn't realize it earlier...
