Can yall really stop trying to tell her what her curl pattern is. I think there's this big misconcenption that 4c hair has no curl pattern so when we see women who define their 4c curls, the automatic default is to say its not 4c. 4c hair is very versatile and its not up to anyone else but the person themselves to define their curl pattern.
Araba Aidoo I mean, not trying to defend the self-acclaimed natural hair police on here, and I definitely agree that no one should impose presumptions on her, but I can see where they are coming from:
I think the issue most people have is the “4c” they know looks like a bunch of tightly coiled springs (when it has a chuck ton of gel or whatever on it), not necessarily that it “doesn’t have a curl pattern.” Mine looks like this also. I’m guessing hers doesn’t really look that way to most people, which is where the discrepancy is . 🤷🏿♀️

But I though the definition of 4c was no curl pattern...so if you have a curl pattern you are not 4c
pats cookie No ma’am. You do have a curl pattern. It’s just so tight, tangle-prone and non-uniformed that it barely looks like you have one.
4c is the tightest curl, otherwise saying it has no curls would make it straight hair....
People confuse texture for curl pattern all the time.
@@SamMKKK I agree with you, Nappy Fu shows us a real 4c pattern. Bush does not mean 4c..4c hair has tiny tiny kinks not curls. Most just don't know or understand because their hair may seem difficult, but trust, when you have 4c, you know it. It's that hair that compares to none, in its awesomness!!!

If you payed attention to the technique, you would realize that the curls are being stretched out with my fingers and the products I used are very thick in consistency, making it easier for my tight curls patterns to stay stretched out. Giving the appearance of a different hair type. When I hair isn’t being manipulated by these techniques, it goes back to its usual really tight curl pattern. 🤦🏾♀️

No, honey. Give up trying to convince people. Because if my 4c ass used the same method you are claiming to have used on MY hair, I can GUARANTEE it does not and WILL not look like that. Face the facts you have either a heavy mixture of 4b/4c or you just aren't 4c textured.

I skimmed through the comments and it's sad to see that people are still doubting what 4c hair looks like. I'm 4b/4c your hair looks like my 4c sections. Why is it that people only seem to accept hair as 4c when the style doesn't look too defined? 😐
Majestically Maiah because theres lowkey a stigma against 4c hair and people cant seem to accept that there can be anything beautiful about it.
Because 4c hair is beautiful but challenging. It helps no one for someone with a different curl pattern to say they're 4c, it just creates frustration when the styles don't work out. Also 4c hair has more cloudy kinks, not defined easy to gel up curls. 4c hair needs to be stretched then curled. We don't wash n go this easy.

Rian L a 4c wash n go is achievable. It just depends on the technique and products. My 4c is hella thick and the whole curling custards, creams and whatnot never worked for me. Hair grease, natural oils and conditioner on the other hand... that combo changed my life. For extra curl definition, I wash my hair with sandalwood before styling and viola! A wash n go that lasts for days. Heck, sometimes I’d just wash with an essential oil and sandalwood mixture(for about 10-15 minutes) and go out- though admittedly the curls last a maximum of 1-3 days but yeah... it’s possible. Everyone just needs to find what works for their hair. Us 4c gals shouldn’t really be afraid to experiment. This whole our hair doesn’t curl is bs. We just don’t have the right products.

If you guys know So much, you'd know it wasnt completely dry.. Therefore, no finished look..🤷🏾 The hair style will continue to change look and shape as it dries and shrinks back.. But I'm finished with the conversation, loves..

You sure did activate those curls. I tried a wash and go on my 4C sometime back and I was pleasantly surprised with the results...looked good the next day too.

I have to admit your hair turned out beautiful - I think I discovered what I did wrong, you actually took time and went through sections starting in the back up to the front and elongated the hair with the gel and curl conditioner.....yaaaaay me, I'm learning! !!!.....now just have to execute the process. ..wish me luck

My hair in the front doesnt curl up as much as the back and I always end up just putting it back up in a ponytail.
Can you show the completely dry finished style next time please? Some products stay white, some products dry with a matte finish, some finish with a shiny finish, some stretch the hair and dries hard. What did yours do and did it last until the next day? Did it shrink?

The Mom Budget Natural If it takes even a third of that, you probably shouldn’t be doing a wash n go because it ain’t for you.
It really doesnt have to be like this, if ease it what a 4c wants. I apply a considerable amount of cheap Cantu leave in conditioner in the shower and when I'm ready to get out I rinse half of it out and shake my hair in all directions under the water. Plop a towel on and when I'm dressed and got my blush on, BAM that towel comes off with coils for days. And yes I have that super kinky 4c.

I had been using the curl maker but found it left a sticky residue on my hair. It would leave little sticky gel balls all over my seat in the. At and on my clothes. Did you experience that??

Can someone help me? When I did the wash and go (2times) I did it on dampened hair. When it tried their were so flakes in my hair I had to wash it out. What do I wrong??

Why don’t you twist it in sections while it’s wet?
Try 4 sections, each section lightly blow dry to stretch hair then apply your favorite gel (do banding method for overnight routine)... because you suffer from shrinkage DO NOT SPRAY YOUR HAIR WITH WATER
