So, today I will be taking y'all through my attempt at trying a wash and go on my thin short 4c natural hair from start to finish. Hope those of us that have fine / thin natural hair and of course everyone else find this video helpful in achieving some effortless defined wash n go on short 4c hair natural hair. I think it’s best to use a hair dryer on the minimum frequency because low porosity hair like yours and mine doesn’t dry fast and causes hygral fatigue🥺

I thought high porosity hair suffers from hygral fatigue mostly....maybe I'm incorrect tho..
@@asgoodasthe1sttime hygral fatigue happens when the hair is damp for so long so if high porosity hair is tied up and water is locked in for a long time without drying, it will still get damaged. But typically with air drying, high porosity hair loses the water and dries faster, giving less chance to hygral fatigue. I think what affects high porosity hair is protein-moisture imbalance.

Try Cantu custard instead of mousse. The custard didn't dry out my very fine 4c hair and gave me the curls longer. It will give you the crunch on top but not your scalp. You can also reactivate it using spray leave in conditioner and your fingers! Love your style!

Wow...I was pleasantly surprised...I have mouse, yet never used it for a "wash n go" (only a gel or cream product with a leave-in conditioner)...I only do this occasionally in the summer so I can go out with damp hair...

I just use Mielle moisturizer lotion then a little Mielle oil and then the Curls on top. I twist it in small sections and leave for the day then untwist the next day. Because the sections are small that’s a hairstyle itself so you can just wear it like that.

Yours turned out beautiful! I tried one once, but I used Eco styler gel instead of foam. It was hard and crusty lol. I never tried it again

I want to try a wash and go some time but j have 2 problems, I have crazy crazy shrinkage, like my hair is 1/3 of its length when it's shrunk and secondly my hair tangles sooooooo easily so I think I would wait until my hair is a certain length before I try it cause I think I will like Luke if j just cut most of it off again and it would be HELL to comb out after

I have thick natural 4C hair. I have braids in my hair for a month. Now that I have taken them out my hair is literally locked up!! Can someone please tell me what should I do to get this out without having to cut my hair?

This didn't work for me Adanna. It just tangled my hair. I have to stick with flaxseed for those results. My hair doesn't like moose method.😘
I don't know about anybody else but when I use moose like that on my natural hair it makes it dry the hairstyle be cute and everything but the hair is dry
