I have the same operator on my window, but it can not be closed tight. What would be the usual cause?

Same! Did you figure out how to adjust these things. I got 4 and none of them close tight.

How do I measure for a replacement...How wide it opens?
Mine still works but it cracked in 2 places at the pivot point and metal shavings are everywhere. Do these have a Lifetime warranty? It was installed NEW in This house in 1977 when the house was built.

I was told by a window supplier that the beams are measured in the closed position.
