I think the people who hate Dennis Miller, do so because they don't/can't understand him. His speech is intelligent, well thought out, and is delivered with machine gun style. I wish we had about 100,000,000 more like him.
Welcome to America's most important comedian...Yes he tells it like it is...In a way that makes ya laugh and think at the same time..But he can say things with such ease and be razor sharp..Love this guy!! Where are you from??
I really miss his show. It was one of the highlights of my week when I could sit down in front of my idiot box, as my dad used to call it, and see just how many obscure references I actually got.
It's no longer restricted to colleges...we're now seeing this everywhere. I definitely think there's always ways for us to get better, but we always take it about 100 steps too far.
Idk he suddenly popped into my head. I was just working and then I remembered something he said in this rant. I was 12 when I heard this but for some reason I got it. I remember 9/11 and what happened to this country afterwards. This is still relevant
Even when I was a kid in high school in the early 90s, I loved Dennis Miller despite never getting a lot of his references. Now that I'm almost 50, I still think he's great.
@Hoschi0913 The Autobahn also gives the possibility to drive faster. It's a big ass road made for transporting tanks quickly from one end of the country to the other!
he gets better as time goes on.... his jokes just offend large number of socialist liberals in this country. Good. Dennis Miller is intellegent maybe more people should listen to him.
As the saying goes, "opinions are like armpits - everyone has them, and they all stink." What matters more is whether the stuff you're spouting is objectively true, and done in love more than malice or greed.
Miller had great writers, but anyone who watched his HBO shows watched his gradual breakdown & the death of his sense of humor. RIP, Dennis Miller. As long as your pre-2002 videos survive, you'll be remembered as one of the great ones.
Jul 9th, 2009... Wow. It is sad how we are here on Dec 26th, 2019; and his words and message are still true. My God, how the Left has fallen. Dennis knew it then and it's still true now. SJW's/Democrats/Liberals/Progressives will NEVER grasp the true meaning of being an American. We've NEVER been about who you can put down, we've always been about who you can help up. Thank you Dennis for your prescient words of wisdom.
I don't wanna go on a rant here, but America's foreign policy makes about as much sense as Beowolf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first Battle of Antietam. I mean when a neo-conservative defenstrates it's like Raskolnikov filibuster deoxymonohydroxinate.
00Phat12345 A rant is talking about something negatively for a while. For example, Dennis Miller hates the way that some people would behave in the world; therefore, he could rant about it. Another example would be yours truly making fun of Austin Mahone and Becky G on my web show "Weeknight Update with Elie Muller" because I'm jealous of the fact that big time celebrities could find love and a little known web show host on RUclips can't even get an actual kiss from a girl who isn't his actual mom. Of course, that's just my opinion, and I could be right.
I don't believe you understand how the Constitution works. The Constitution was written to restrain the federal government, not the people. The Constitution does NOT grant any rights. It was the STATES who gave us the Constitution and gave rise to (what was supposed to be a very limited) federal government. The Constitution charges the federal government with GUARANTEEING our rights. Most people never had a decent civics course, and that causes errors in how "We, the People" understand what the feds are supposed to do (and it isn't very much).
@Hoschi0913 germany is a small country, roughly the size of texas. whats more its split up into a bunch of smaller states yet. its like this all throughout europe. its easy to enforce heavy regulations in a small country with a high population density. especially a people with a cultural background of monarchy (that being all of europe and the uk) usa is a much larger country separated into states many bigger than the average European country. with a background in small government.
@3:40 People talk about 10-15 years ago like it was an era before the so called "campus craziness" of today. The fact that people from /back then/ were also arguing that the-end-of-free speech-on-college-campuses-is-imminent makes stuff people say today sound less credible and more like it might be an overblown, juvenoic, "kids these days" rant. He even mentions then currently news controversy about binge drinking on college campuses which makes it sound even more like a old vs. young generation rant. By the way, those restrictive "speech codes" he mentions? They're on a 9th or 10th year of decline with a significant drop just this past year, despite the fact that people think the-end-is-nigh on speech.
@20thcentfox That actually was all true. Granted it would be much more difficult pull off now, but the odds are still better, ever so slightly of course, than if you have no arms whatsoever.
@swiftcow445 No it doesn't. There is a part about a militia, but then there's comma, "the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." They had just finished fighting a war against a militia that routinely stripped people of their weapons so they couldn't fight back. They understood that the militia was necessary to maintain the security of the state, but that it was more important for the people to be armed in the event they ever had to rise up against said militia.
@Hoschi0913 historically the role of government in america has been small decentralized government. while historically in europe the role of government has been strong central government. culture doesnt just evaporate. traditional wisdom is passed from parent to child and has been for centuries. ways of thinking, ways of approaching authority, the role of the individual in the collective these are cultural things, they are things your parent instill in you and their parents in them.
A rant or harangue is a speech or text that does not present a well-researched and calm argument; rather, it is typically an attack on an idea, a person or an institution, and very often lacks proven claims. Such attacks are usually personal attacks. Compare with a dialectic. i hope this help more for a person wanting to know what a rant is and have access to a pc or laptop or what ever portable device that has a access to the internet you arent to bright. try using the search enginens.
@bartonim Were you listening to the audience? That joke and the whole rant killed, and I happened to find it really funny. Unlike a lot of other serious/political comedians, who just say their opinion and the audience gives a cheer or applause because they agree, he actually makes people crack up and is funny about it. Just because you don't like his politics or you didn't personally find it funny doesn't mean he has no comedic skill. Quite the opposite, actually.
dave gee So, you said he had 3 things going his way, and then went on to try and passive/aggressively diss him, by rattling off 4, and butchered the word Teleprompter. My guess is there wasn’t ‘vast thought’ that went into this reply.
His rants are just his old stand up reworked for the show. He did use a teleprompter to help remember them, though. I don't know about the stuff on The O'Reilly Factor because I didn't watch that show.
Fantastic! I am aware this guy has received a lot of BS because he is a conservative but I don't give a damn about his politics. He was hugely successful comedian/wit for 30 years and I think he was intelligent and most stupid people do like that.
See kids. Waay back in the past this man was known as a comedian. I know I know that weird tingle in your belly followed by those wheezy noises are frightening but don’t be alarmed. That’s a perfectly normal reaction by the brain called laughter. You see waay back in the past before the overlords took over and banned fun there were these people called “comedians” who would go on stage and make light of topics that could be mundane or offensive. In some cases the topics were so offensive that just mentioning them without fear and pointing out how obscured it was was enough to elicit this very reaction you just had. No no, it was just before the land whale.......sorry “strong independent women” who basically talked about their vaginas and every detail there about. See back then a comedian had to be interesting, intelligent and have a voice. Rather than having a rich relative in Congress. Sadly the great purge wiped it all away. Oh if only we had listened to guys like this instead of booing him because he pointed out how ridiculous our over reactions were at the time. Come generless child kin. Tis time for our daily beating for daring to be Caucasian. Yes I know you technically are part Asian but white man bad so come along. Seriously people does it have to get to that point before we do something about it.
Jack Casey what? You mean like having an IQ above mashed potatoes? Or are you so dense that you haven’t noticed the metric ton of Political correctness bullshit that seems to have a hard on for white hatred.
love that dennis miller's amazingly big brain smart boy book references are all ones that he had to read in high school english class. incredible insight dennis lmfao, please tell us about how the 1984 big brother is picking out our ties for us, so deep and insightful lmfao
I liked Dennis Miller before 9-11 made him a fear-mongering PTSD victim. Most Americans didnt personally experience being in NYC on 9-11-01, but millions have lived through disasters without living in their fears the rest of their lives. I thought Americans would react like the French have to terrorism. How wrong is was.
@heatbucspies55 I do think he can be funny but he's lost that edge since he opened up as a conservative. He just has a smug tone that I cannot get around. People say Bill Maher is smug, but Miller has him beat. If he just stuck to comedy, maybe I'd laugh at what he has to say; otherwise, he just seems to be treading water. It's also very easy to make the converted laugh--conservative or liberal.
Middle Ground?? What concept is this... better not let your orange Messiah see this Dennis or your fanbase will turn on you faster than the Hyenas did on Scar
I think the people who hate Dennis Miller, do so because they don't/can't understand him. His speech is intelligent, well thought out, and is delivered with machine gun style. I wish we had about 100,000,000 more like him.
They dont know his references because they are stupid libtards and he "offends" them
Family Guy did a great joke about that.
ruclips.net/video/n-Mz_rDeP04/видео.html
No one hates Dennis.
I'm a liberal and I think hes hilarious
His current twice-weekly show, Dennis Miller + One, launched on RT America on March 9, 2020 and features celebrity interviews. Real intelligent
Anyone else on a Dennis Miller marathon? I don't live in America so I was unaware of his existence until an our ago. Incredible mind!
I don't always agree with him, but no one can rationally dispute his intelligence and creativity.
Shawn - welcome to our world
Welcome to America's most important comedian...Yes he tells it like it is...In a way that makes ya laugh and think at the same time..But he can say things with such ease and be razor sharp..Love this guy!!
Where are you from??
Not on a marathon.. or even a jog for that matter but Dennis Miller is great. Been a fan of his for a long time.
I've found him right now. This is the 2nd video and I'm still going
If I can watch a Dennis Miller rant and get almost all the references, it's a good day.
I really miss his show. It was one of the highlights of my week when I could sit down in front of my idiot box, as my dad used to call it, and see just how many obscure references I actually got.
I love the man for his long ranting monologues. Poetic and beautiful. 💎👌
Touchier than a Vatican summer camp...classic Dennis. I love him
What he said about free speech college campuses is even more true now in 2018 than it was when he said it.
It's no longer restricted to colleges...we're now seeing this everywhere. I definitely think there's always ways for us to get better, but we always take it about 100 steps too far.
2021 here, I suggest you do not keep coming this way.
I repeat, stay in 2018....
Wrong
2022 here and its gotten even worse than the 21 guy mentioned
@@ComeonmenID10T wrong
We need you more these days Dennis!!
regardless of how outrageous his views, his self-awareness is as stellar as it gets; his cleverly manipulated analogies brilliant.
Idk he suddenly popped into my head. I was just working and then I remembered something he said in this rant. I was 12 when I heard this but for some reason I got it. I remember 9/11 and what happened to this country afterwards. This is still relevant
I find him funny as hell. I loved him on HBO in the 1990's . He is still amazing!
he is awesome Dennis is the man!
he is funny!
No he isn't, he is a sellout to the conservative extremists and has had to dumb down his act A LOT!!
I can't imagine hell being that funny, but point taken.
He’s never afraid to say how he feels!!! Luv him!
Brilliant on so many levels!
I usually hate political comedy, I think comedians should be funny and pundits should be pundits, but this is actually really good.
I was too young to appreciate Dennis when he was in his prime. Glad the internet exists so i can enjoy him now
Even when I was a kid in high school in the early 90s, I loved Dennis Miller despite never getting a lot of his references. Now that I'm almost 50, I still think he's great.
Dude was ahead of his time.
"Touchier than a Vatican Summer camp."
I paused it to lol
I miss these old shows.
Nobody but nobody says it like Dennis. I always did love "Miller Time"
"thanks for sauntering on down to jingo road with me"
no one can make fun of miller but miller
The ability of criticizing our government is what makes this country great
Allowed to speak freely, until you see that You Tube has deleted several of his “Rants” on this thread.
2023 and DMill is still on point from 1988
wow. perfect for 2022.
@Hoschi0913 The Autobahn also gives the possibility to drive faster. It's a big ass road made for transporting tanks quickly from one end of the country to the other!
a national treasure, thanks captain miller
Man, what a breath of fresh air
he gets better as time goes on.... his jokes just offend large number of socialist liberals in this country. Good. Dennis Miller is intellegent maybe more people should listen to him.
Freedom of speech is getting more expensive as time passes. I can barely afford it now.
This comedy is so quality. I liek Dennis Miller's style, there's not really anyone else like that.
Dennis Miller: the Conservative George Carlin!
Shame he seems to have put the "I don't wanna go off on a RANT here..." routine behind him. *sigh*
4:40 -ignore me, this is for my own reference
@Hoschi0913 Traffic and industry are heavily regulated and supervised. Imagine how high the death toll would be if they weren't.
He is one of the top 10 crazy political commentators according to AskMen.
Crazy? Nah. Brilliant!
As the saying goes, "opinions are like armpits - everyone has them, and they all stink." What matters more is whether the stuff you're spouting is objectively true, and done in love more than malice or greed.

Here in 2022 and what he says is even more pertinent.
What the hell does rant mean?
what Dennis just did for 6 minutes.
Someone's not a family guy fan...
00Phat12345 Hahaha Randsurfer must be a neo-conservative... ;)
I don't wanna go on a rant here, but America's foreign policy makes about as much sense as Beowolf having sex with Robert Fulton at the first Battle of Antietam. I mean when a neo-conservative defenstrates it's like Raskolnikov filibuster deoxymonohydroxinate.

Communists @You Tube. You missed one. Dennis Miller said Taiwan in this video!!!!
Ah...a joke about becoming a police state back when it was impossible. Those were the days.
We need him now more than ever. 🇺🇸👏🏼🫡

I hate to say it but the slippery slope is the truth..... we are currently living it. The government is slowly taking control of our lives.....
@bartonim

I think he makes every other person who trie to combine politics and comedy seem a little amateurish.
the guy has 3 things going his way. I will give him credit for effort, his audience, his TelePrompTer and his thesaurus have all been vastly studied,

Use your energy to love

Shadow Banning me from Share on FB...? WOW Let God be Magnified ...
@charlamain2209 He was here LONG before Bill Maher....and he's funnier.
Dennis knows freedom. What the fuck else matters?
Fantastic! I am aware this guy has received a lot of BS because he is a conservative but I don't give a damn about his politics. He was hugely successful comedian/wit for 30 years and I think he was intelligent and most stupid people do like that.
No, that's the "Mistress Race".
Yo!
what do you get the guy who has everything,,??..

Dennis Miller looks more cool than the most interesting man in the world.
Pick a Top Cop!!! It's you

@lasvegasknight The difference is that that was 200 years ago this is now. do you know how many deaths there are in the US from firearms every year?
love that dennis miller's amazingly big brain smart boy book references are all ones that he had to read in high school english class. incredible insight dennis lmfao, please tell us about how the 1984 big brother is picking out our ties for us, so deep and insightful lmfao
Ho Hum.
@Hoschi0913 run,on,sentence
"Become a police state", welcome to 2024....
ironically, this is now "islamophobic"
@Faerychild03
whatever happened to DM...kind of went the way of the hoola hoop.
Worked at fox news for a while. Still tours has a show in Vegas.
Hahahahaha
I liked Dennis Miller before 9-11 made him a fear-mongering PTSD victim. Most Americans didnt personally experience being in NYC on 9-11-01, but millions have lived through disasters without living in their fears the rest of their lives. I thought Americans would react like the French have to terrorism. How wrong is was.
How did the French react? From what we've seen in the past couple years its been "thank you Ahmed can we have another"
How the French react? What? Singing the national anthem and doing precisely jack shit allowing French people to be killed in the streets? Fuck off.
Hahahahaha yeah sure
@frackle123 Tolerant? He spouts the same garbage as they all do--the flag-wavers--about how 'they hate us for our freedom', which is rubbish.
One of my favorites until he became a FOX shill. Sorry to see you go Dennis.
This didn't age well. Not his fault. But still tho
Yeah what happened 2 him. Someone threatened him most likely. Psychopaths hired by public figures. Sad.
Middle Ground?? What concept is this... better not let your orange Messiah see this Dennis or your fanbase will turn on you faster than the Hyenas did on Scar
What the hell does rant mean?
