It was like spending an hour walking the neighborhood with your funniest, and pretty wise friend, each night after work. I suppose he tired of doing it after a few years, and I can understand that, but I miss "hanging out" with Dennis each evening for a while, especially if he had Normie MacDonald on. I just howled at those guys. The best. Love ya Dennis !
Nice to see Mr. Miller, my favorite comedian of the late 80s-90s. His HBO show Dennis Miller Live was pure gold every week and there is no way to see them all now. I have a few on tape and they hold up today... but I want to see them all again. WTH HBO!
We saw his show in Vegas and he always opens with his smart material and works down to the level of the crowd. He lobbed a few high brow jokes that no one but me and my wife laughed at. So every time he had an intelligent joke he walked over to us and delivered it to us. It was like a personal show.
