Another really beautiful vlog I just love how each shot just fits perfectly into the narrative and I think the editing really pulls it together feels really intentional and intricate! I’ve been missing my mom these days and seeing your mom with her bag of treats reminds me of mine and it makes me so happy omg lol.
Thanks so much Abigail! I love reading your comments - intentional/intricate is definitely what I try to do with the editing. Making sure everything matches the pace/music - tries to visually tell the moment. So happy you appreciate all that! Though I still feel its not quite there in someway... Mom's being mom right? Can never complain about that! Love it! My pantry is still fully stocked...
Wise choice by your parents, by taking the Cathay flight that flies to Hongqiao airport, rather than Pudong. Things are much faster over there for international passengers :)
Absolutely! Hongqiao is definitely a great airport to fly into. I’m a big fan of the fact that if you don’t have a check in, you could easily walk across ‘the bridge’ to exit the airport and skip the whole baggage pick up!
We are always so envious of so much good food you guys eat! Shen jian bao is one of our favorites. Pork and sticky rice are delicious too. Claire says she has been to the same restaurant. Thanks for making us gain weight Mom! I love dim sum, somehow, we have never had it in China. Claire says mom's food looks great and pizza too? It's sad to see so many of the old places being torn down. The view is amazing at the Italian restaurant. Got to love huge plates small food and big prices. Makayla the runner.
We… well, I ate way too much. Hitting my PB in terms of weight and not in a good way! Should consider trying the dim sum place we went to in xujiahui, but definitely a place for 3+ people to try, portions are pretty big! Of course, had to let my mom try to Detroit style pizza from homeslice, something not so easy to come by in London (guessing here). “Dining City Week” makes trying such fancy restaurants worthwhile - otherwise honestly speaking, food was good but not THAT good to warrant standard pricing.
