Joelinton could do with watching Tonali release the ball early and effectively. Too many of our midfielders hold the ball too long. It’s got two negatives 1) gives the opposition time to reset their positions when defending 2) gives the opposition an opportunity to regain the ball and counter attack themselves
On Trippier, there was a moment where he intervened to stop a player complaining to the ref (and risking a card). He then beckoned Bruno G over to talk to the ref.

In the TNT buddy video with Bruno&Joe, Bruno said he’s quiet on the pitch😮Captains need to be loud…he’s an immense player but is that a miss step? Big Al and Aaron need to get to Spec 👓 Savers😂Gordon played it smart and Ederson was clumsy…. 💯 penalty…minimal contact…but contact🎉

Stats only show about 30% of effectiveness there are intangibles and completed passes can be indifferent or perfect. Try J7 at CB? I know you are journos lads but Anthony didn't need to silence critics he needed to contribute to the performance. Critics are noise apart from the manager and team mates.

Tonali was good - but it was Howe working on the training pitch to close the gaps between defence and midfield that was the important feature against Citeh. Burn was moving to close that gap and push the defensive line further up the pitch so we couldn’t be played through as we have been before that game. Yes, it leaves us open behind as we lack pace but combined with a higher press and closer lines, we had an actual plan to rectify the woeful performances prior.

No reason why Tonali couldn’t get 45 mins against Fulham.

Hi Paul, not negative at all. I said that having him on the pitch was a huge boost even if his stats didn't paint that picture. Very excited to see him.
