Thanks Des there are many great spots around the area. I wish we could have stayed longer at this one. only scratched the surface of things to see ..😊😊😊
Ha ha, thanks, Mick. we are a couple of idiots 🤣 enjoying the adventure 😎 we never thought we would get close to 1k subs . Imagined it would be more like 100 subs 🤣
Did the pub at the same table with 3 other couples for lunch late March. Good tucker. Stayed at same park for 4 nights near main entrance. Surf life saving club good for a meal. Nice area.
Yeah, the pub did a good feed 👍 we did see the life-saving club that did look the goods if we had more time, we definitely would have checked that out for sure 😀
Hey, that's awesome 👌 congrats on the new jayco. hope you enjoy yours as much as we have ours 👍 I bet you can't wait to hit the road and start enjoying your new van 😀
Yeah, we enjoyed our little time there. I wish it was longer. could have stayed for a week, no problem. The jetty there isn't very long would be awesome if it went right out
Great episode, we really do have some stunning coast here in S.A. I changed the Journey to DO35 much better. Thanks for the look at Normanville we've wanted to head down that way, the park looks great. Yes, owning a van is definitely a never-ending money pit but good fun though. Bit soft get in that water😂
Cheers mate 👍 we love exploring the coastal areas of SA. We are slowly 🐌 giving the van upgrades, bit at a time, we will get there . Mick should have gone for a swim would of been a sight 😆
@Overweightandunderpowered Actually he would be a tough man if he braved the water. Yes takes time to get things sorted to find what works for you guys.
Upgrading to the do35 has definitely helped with how the van tows. There are some pretty rough roads out there, and that's before you hit the dirt 😂 ..cheers thanks for watching
Always check out the yank tourist center as there is some hidden gems around the area, for example my 70 year old dad has been a southern local all his life & only the other week I introduced him to the local waterfall , he had no idea it was there. Good choice on the hitch change guys.
Growing fast guys 186 views in 4 hours and almost 1000 subscribers, keep it natural well done, your drone work is amazing, I might have to book into the Overweight and Underpowered flight school 😜
Yeah Peter were happy just having a bit of a go and that someone is actually watching us two Turkey's 😀 ha ha overweight & underpowered flight school ❤️it
Haha, it's the bits you don't see. I fluff the drone footage on the regular. Some days, we have heaps of footage but only get some good bits ..thanks for your support 😊
Best feature of the DO35 is that its 'articulated' so whenever the van hits a bump in the road, the hitch can move left or right which then gives you a much smoother ride than being connected to the old 50mm tow bar ball. Additionally, if the van ever happened to roll, it wont drag the tow vehicle with it. Safe travels guys.
It's definitely an upgrade on the 50mm ball I can feel the difference in the way the van tows, especially over rough surfaces, though it might be a bit harder to align when hooking up but so far no worries at all .thanks for watching cheers 🍻 😊
It is an awesome hitch. we found it super smooth 😎 and to be a great upgrade 👌 and your right if you really shit the bed and roll it you won't take the ute with the van 😉
G'day mate, the drone we use is nothing special, just a dji mini 2 that we picked up of marketplace second hand but does the job for us because we're only amateur's cheers 🍻
Oh also. Buy some Hex Pegs from Bunnings. About 12 in the case for $18. Mine are yellow but they now appear to be Blue. It should fit in your mat, ours do ✌️

Another safety tip. Get some velcro straps to put on the awning arms when you are travelling.
Arr, that's a good idea. I like that 👌 thanks for the tip cheers. Dot 🍻 😀

Bloody Damo and his suggestions... he'd likely leave his at home too 🫣🤫

The funny part was I had them in the ute for the last two trips, cleaned the bus, and left them out ..always the way 😂
@MADMICK1 question is have you tried them and do they fit the kings mat?
@DamoLawrie I would look pretty silly if I did the same mistake twice..I will be checking that one 😅 😉
