The video denotes 4 wires. Careful : the gold wire has a white (mic) wire inside.. seperate the two.. my mic would not work.. i disasymbled the head set (as per the video's instructions) and discovered a white and gold wire attached to the mic mute swich.. Thank you for the helpful video.
@@krisrobitzsch In my headset, the wires are bound together as one. One may shield the other from external interference. They must be separated. i wrote this comment months ago. So, i dont recall everything. I do recall viewing the headset's internal connections revealed a hidden wire. that's how i discovered the combined set. My plug was damaged and they appeared as a single wire at the plug end. However, inside they are two wires connecting to two places.
Can you help me, guys? I want to re-solder the wire on my Razer Kraken Lite, and there are wires on the board in the following order: microphone, ground, ground, right, ground, left. how do I solder the wire in this case, if the wire I bought (exactly the same as you indicated in the first link) will have only 4 cores? I don't quite understand. Thanks
@@TechscrewDIY I bought the first cable in the link, and as it turns out, it has 3 wires inside, even though it says it supports microphone, and the jack has 3 notches, not 2 🥲
@@nikolay_landau but does it show you the correct cable type on the order ? It's simple, either you made a mistake or the seller did. In both cases the solution is easy -> new cable.
do razer kraken pro v1 pls i need to fix it but my new cable have 5 wire (I don't know what each color means.) but headset have 6 wire R+ R- L+ L- Mic+ Mic- how to connect my new cable to headset
The cable I bought only had (4) wires. None of the other wires had one inside it. And none of the replacement wires you recommended are the same as the one you used. Is this a prank?
@@TechscrewDIY I did but it goes so fast and it’s a bit confusing and your fingers are always blocking so I can’t see. The factory cable has (5) wires. (2) to the mute board and (3) to the sound board.
@@TechscrewDIYi rewatched the whole video and realized what I wasn’t understanding. I followed it exactly. Ears worked but mic did not. Double and triple checked all the wires and solders. Mic doesn’t work.
@@TechscrewDIY I soldered a new 3.5mm jack to my Razer, but I'm not getting separate signals. I have monotonous sound. When you look at these tiny little wires inside the cable, there are always contact points. So, physically, there is no isolation. How can the signals be separated?

So did you have to solder the white AND gold both onto the same one?

Great video, just what I was looking for. Not a fan of the robot voice though lol.
Thanks and sorry about that voice.
How do you replace the top of the headset? Not the cushion part
simplest way is use universal cushion with zipper, like in this video - ruclips.net/video/MoR7L_njndM/видео.html

it's simply, from aftermarket wire one ground goes to old contacts 3 grounds.

you can simply use 4 wire cable, because 3.5mm jack has only 4 contacts. Left +, Right +, Ground (for mic and speakers) and Mic +

how is it possible, that those wires connect to each other internally and still got the right signals? i dont get it.
I didn't understand the question?

im gonna try to do this but it seems so hard
its easy, just follow steps.
Great video, but don't ever again record audio only on one side on a repair video!
this video sound is stereo. both channels.
my bunny chewed the cable in half
you're lucky because you can fix them :) was the soup tasty ?

Ok I followed ever step perfectly. Ears worked but microphone never worked. Waste of $20 in parts.
thats probably because the literal microphone is broken
