What a wonderful and relaxing way to learn about Mars. Congrats to India for such an economical mission.
This is the first time I've seen clear pictures of mars.
Some of the NASA pics have been coloured in odd colours. I much prefer this Indian video which gives a much more natural look at Mars.
Excellent Mars pic clarity.

I can't help thinking these satellites should carry a load of small flying probes/drones that can be dropped individually at areas of interest where they can send their data to be relayed back to Earth by the satellite.
hello, I work as Aerodynamic engineer at ISRO, while your Idea is great it's not achievable yet as Drone need air pressure to fly in certain directions which is impossible in vacuum of space, and since they are significantly smaller in size there isn't enough space to fit booster into them, but we working on something similar
Wow, Western media is so US and Europe-centric. I literally had no idea India had a Mars mission.
Currently a moon rover was launched by ISRO and is currently on descent to the moon. Check Chandrayaan-2. Its a very interesting project.

You should also look at the first Venus missions by Russia. Nobody heard about them either.
@@buryitdeep Not really, the Soviet Venera missions are pretty legendary. They were taking actual pictures of the surface of Venus in the 1970s. Firing these modified diving bells into that dense, broiling, toxic soup of an atmosphere and getting them to actually live long enough to take pictures, it was big news even at the time.
I like the fact that they used a fairly ordinary camera, so that we can see Mars, how it really is. Wonderful presentation, and very clear to understand, thank you.

Astrum in Sanskrit means weapon / metalic tool.
astra - weapon?
But the Americans pronounce it as “Ash-trum”
While it’s pronounce as
Uh-ss- trum
(ss pronouned as the s in so) (t in *trum* pronounced as the t in ‘th’ud)
True it's Weapon but not necessarily a metalic one. Anything that can be used by throwing/remotely is astrum. But this channel's Astrum is, may be, related to astronomical term for Sirius/Dogstar.
Even though the Sanskrit thing is true. The channel is named after Astrum the Latin word meaning Stars.
Nope the pronunciation of this channel and that of the Sanskrit word is different

Indeed, what a magnificent achievements by Indian scientists! Some news channel was reporting they did this mission at 1/3rd the cost of the movie Gravity. Where the western countries race the space at what ever the cost may be, India does all those at a very sustainable cost. This also signals their space research teams’ level of commitment, honesty & sourcing of major parts locally from within their own country to keep the overall project cost at reasonable and sustainable. Even once, they choose the most respected scientist or rocket engineer as their president (I guess). I am sure their neighbouring countries’ will have so much to learn and help from India. Great going India!!!
