They are such a Beautiful Owl and i am pleased that you Love them and get so excited to photograph them, but i get sick of hearing about the cruelty of some "humans" towards these birds and all wildlife, when willthese individuels learn to respect wildlife and nature, i hope it is long before it is too late. Thank you for this wonderful film.
It's actually called a blakiston's eagle owl, it is not a fish owl, it does not belong to the Ketupa genus, it is always a member of the Bubo genus, which is exclusively native to the Palearctic Realm, the only other five extant species in this genus are the European Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo), the West Asian Eagle Owl (Bubo turcomanus), the Central Asian Eagle Owl (Bubo hemachalanus), the Chinese Eagle Owl (Bubo kiautschensis), and the Siberian Eagle Owl (Bubo sibiricus), with the latter four now being considered separate species from the former and closer relatives of the Blakiston's Eagle Owl (Bubo blakistoni).
It hasn’t _always_ been this way as you say. It initially was classified as a member of Ketupa until it was found it was more suitable for the eagle-owl genus. Now, if you’re saying it _should_ have been classified as Bubo from the start then you’re right, but for the longest time it wasn’t.
@@prod_change_up, nope, the Ketupa genus is an exclusively indomalayan genus restricted only to the fish owls and contains only three extant species: the Buffy Fish Owl (Ketupa ketupu), the Tawny Fish Owl (Ketupa flavipes), and the Brown Fish Owl (Ketupa zeylonensis), also, the Bubo genus is now an exclusively old world, specifically palearctic genus now containing only six extant species: the European Eagle Owl (Bubo bubo), the West Asian Eagle Owl (Bubo turcomanus), the Central Asian Eagle Owl (Bubo hemachalanus), the Chinese Eagle Owl (Bubo kiautschensis), the Siberian Eagle Owl (Bubo sibiricus), and the Blakiston's Eagle Owl (Bubo blakistoni) There are now officially seven extant genera of eagle owl based solely on geography as the snowy owl now belongs back to the monotypic genus Nyctea with its scientific name changed back to Nyctea scandiaca, the great horned and lesser horned owls both now belong to the genus Neobubo with their scientific names now being Neobubo virginianus and Neobubo magellanicus respectively, the arabian, dusky, forest, indian, barred, and philippine eagle owls all now belong to the genus Indobubo with their scientific names now being Indobubo milesi, Indobubo coromandus, Indobubo nipalensis, Indobubo bengalensis, Indobubo sumatranus, and Indobubo philippensis respectively, and the pharaoh, greyish, giant, shelley's, akun, usambara, fraser's, spotted, and cape eagle owls all now belong to the genus Afrobubo with their scientific names now being Afrobubo ascalaphus, Afrobubo cinerascens, Afrobubo lacteus, Afrobubo shelleyi, Afrobubo leucostictus, Afrobubo vosseleri, Afrobubo poensis, Afrobubo africanus, and Afrobubo capensis respectively While the genera Neobubo and Nyctea are sister taxa and as is Indobubo being officially a sister taxon to the fish owls (genus Ketupa), the Afrobubo genus is more closely related to the fishing owls (genus Scotopelia) and the Bubo genus is the most basal and distantly related from all the other extant genera as the Nyctea + Neobubo clade is the sister group to the Indobubo + Ketupa and Afrobubo + Scotopelia clades to the exclusion of Bubo
What a gorgeous bird. It is strange that it doesn't appear that large in comparison to Great Horned Owls I have seen but yet is more than double the weight. Must be amazing in real life.
My program staff loves these owls, a LOT more than the average owl-lover. Now I see why some people are so terrified to resemble flying mailboxes, that Pokémon Legends: Arceus should’ve included a Hisuian Noctowl in its roster, as regular Noctowl are unavailable, in code and missed opportunity lore respectively.
My spirit animal is owl. And this owls might be my favourite animal. What a great majestic bird we humans msut protect it from ourselfs. I hope they can get them to populate more and not get extinct because that would be a great loss and a shame.
@Travel.and.Nature people obsses over the fast falcon biggest eagle but Owls from smallest to largest have such mystic appearance as an artist I really enjoy everything about them!
vine más que todo por que se hacer un buo Blakiston de Origami a partir de un papel cuadrado sin recortes ni pega el resultado es realista y puede durar asta 3 horas pero depende de la persona puede estenderse asta poco más de 3 horas incluso casi 6 horas
Owl shows up at 07:30 for anyone wondering

I was looking for the full speed of those owels . I think they are a way faster then anybody can imagine .
Outstanding. Beautiful documentary. Hope that little one that left the nest made it ok. Seemed a bit too young to be on the ground.
Most amazing birds that fly without making any sound, the only birds that can fly without detectable sound of wings flapping!
I know, right?

Why can't you find a human to narrate?
Cheap
almost nothing about these particular damn owls on here as they avoid humans.
whats the matter....dont you know what a "fathhhhhurr" (feather) is lol
They yell
It's like AI from 40 years ago too. If Stephen Hawkings robot voice was East European.
I read that we have these in turkey
