Treyarch are truly the only ones left that still grasp that COD is a fun, fast-paced arcade FPS. Sucks that Infinity Ward have turned their games into such stale, slow, boring mil-sim wannabes. All they do is cater to & only reward low-skilled players.
MW II movement is fast enought, operators movement is like 2x of the real human. OG MW 1 and 2 was way slower, more tactically and fun and MW II is arcady on it's own way. IW way is not a milsim like arcade- just a clown arcade. Like all COD after MW 2 It's a big joke not a military shooter anymore. Treyarch done only 2 good COD - BO 1\2. And i tell you more MW II was developed by all Activision studios, not only IW, and that was the problem when u have a huge team with 3k+ ppl they couldnt follow one direction of project. I think COD series is fucked like Battlefield so they will keep making bad games and trying to drain a money from kids
Well treyarch grasped wrong then cause cod is not an arcade shooter and never has been. It's cod tards that inserted cod into the arcade genre in their own head canon.
That faster pace, longer time to kill, faster movement, vibrant maps have always been my preference. Especially over a game like the current cod which is the 360 opposite of those features.
There's times when it genuinely is the COD cycle, but this is not one of those times no matter how you look at it. MWII is on par with Vanguard in terms of being stale & terrible. The COD cycle is when you have people genuinely praising Vanguard. Cold War was always pretty decent all-around. It's just those room temp IQ players that see slightly worse graphics/animations compared to Infinity Ward's offerings and then write the whole game off. Gameplay > Revolutionary graphics/animations When a game like BOCW that went through development hell with Treyarch having to take over Sledgehammer's mess halfway through, it's actually rather impressive that they were able to salvage it fairly well with the time they were given. Taking that into account, Treyarch getting 4+ years to cook for their next game in 2024 at least warrants some excitement.
There were minimal people saying cold war was a bad game after the launch issues. It's 100% the best CoD in the last 4-5 years. You could argue 2019 but warzone hard carried it. It's still not as great as XDefiant but I'd rather play that than MW2.
Cold War is definitely the best game out of the last few years. Even from a package standpoint it’s the best, great campaign, great zombies and good MP. The main complaints of that game came from its launch content, which the game now has the most content of the last few years and its visuals which are still damn good.
I mean I say it in the video and said it for years, I never had any real fundamental problems with Cold War and think for Treyarch having to reshape / remold a SHG / Raven game in disarray, it turned out as good as it could have. I loved campaign, played it through like half a dozen times, got all Dark Ops challenges and everything done for it, Zombies I played a ton of, matching my MP time,. My only genuine issue was that I was simply fatigued from the retention based matchmaking that we had in MW19 and then back to back in Cold War; I didn't want to sweat every single game, but the core game itself, I never had any major issues with (beyond the scorestreaks system... That was just dumb and I said that since the Alpha). Only other thing I didn't like was entirely on me for going back and forth from Warzone to Cold War so much and system shocking myself with how different movement mechanics behaved comparatively.
I’ll be honest, when Black Ops Cold War came out I didn’t like it at first. The only thing that I liked was it’s campaign. But as time went on and Treyarch updated and improved the game it started growing on me. At the end of its support cycle I enjoyed the game for what it was and was pleased with all the content and updates added. It also had the best battle passes imo compared to MW2019 and Vanguard. Though I did really enjoy MW2019’s battle passes too. I also loved all the colabs it had, especially the Scream one. I wish they would have kept Scream Deathmatch as a permanent mode.
I always think of SHG as being the studio that has a ton to grind for, but I forgot how much stuff there is in Cold War. You’ve got 2 mastery Camo grinds, the Gunfight Tournament rewards, the Dark Ops challenges, so many CC challenges, the Prestige Shop, and some bundles even have challenges for small CP refunds. I still think SHG has better rewards to grind for, but having something is better than nothing like in MWII…
Really shocked me how much better this game is Vs MW2. When it launched it wasn't my cup of tea early doors but they put in work. A whole dev cycle of content made it a good game. Campaign was great fun too. Been playing MP loads lately
I went back to CW about a month ago to grind some camo, did not really do the grind at the time. Damn its a good game not to mention the massive Zombies content. I bought it for the multiplayer when it went on sale the first time. Played every now and then it really has an addictive quality that makes you want to come back. The 6 v 6, 12 man moshpit, even just Nuketown over and over is damn fun. I though the exact thing, it is shipment not on shipment hahaha!
Was a big Fan of the first map in the zombies mode. It really felt like you could kick some ass. Going for high rounds was super easy also you can play as ghost face and he had his own custom voice lines. The Halloween season theme music was god tier as well.
I wasn't planning on buying BOCW cause I was content with MW2019 at the time; but then I saw clips of the campaign and decided to get it for the campaign... Now after 3 years, I can really say that, among the WZ1 trilogy games, BOCW had the best MP
Coming back to this game reminded me just how nasty the SBMM can be with a higher skill ceiling. Small imbalances turn into massive issues like snipers, LMGs, etc.
Cold War isn’t golden age CoD by a long shot, but it still has a lot of fun elements to it. You’ve got a classic movement system, classic minimap, classic perks, and some pretty well-made multiplayer maps along with several remakes of Black Ops staples like Jungle and Nuketown. It’s refreshing after playing MW19 and MWII, which make a concerted effort to completely butcher the gameplay and map design so that noobs can camp as easily as possible. SBMM is still in the game and it’s a complete bitch, but at least what you’re playing with feels fun.
I never liked Cold War. I tried the multiplayer in a free access weekend and watched a campaign gameplay and I couldn't get into it. I've never been a fan of Tryearch games, I've always been a Modern Warfare fan. Although saying that, MW2 feels very different to MW2019. That was the best COD in recent history for me.

I will be honest with you Black Ops Cold War was Treyarch's best game since Black Ops 2. Black Ops 3 and 4 were garbage anticonsumer games with cookie cutter maps and garbage net code with high health amplifying it. Not to mention Treyarch destroyed shotguns and snipers because of what the sniping community did to them over Black Ops 2. None of the maps from either game are memorable and I found myself only able to play an hour at a time. That being said I actually loved Black Ops Cold War it was fun and balanced and the maps weren't three lane cookie cutter garbage and the health wasn't too high either.

Love 6v6 Faceoff! So wish they would take the 3v3 gunfight maps in MW2 and make them 6v6, and then make the 6v6 maps at least 10v10. I play the game for gunfights, I don’t play to run around looking for gunfights, especially is some of these big ass maps.
Went back to CW yesterday, and was actually ok dun experience. Streaks and snipers aside its a well rounded arcade shooter. Not sure SBMM kicked on though…
Yes, at least the online progress tied to your Activision ID/account (Cross-Platform). Single Player should also be fine as long as it's the same system (PS4/PS5).
Okay I gotta know, did they patch this game at all for those unsafe exploits yet? I haven't heard anything about this since everyone said the game isn't safe to play last month and I saw that COD acknowledged it but have they actually done anything about it yet? Why is it all of the sudden playable again and FREE for psn when it still has unsafe exploits being used?
hi, need help. I've downloaded everything for cold war..but when I wanna play online for multiplayer and I click "square" to turn the online mode on, it says I need playstation plus to play it.. can't I just play multiplayer online with having playstation plus? I have the disc and downloaded everything there
Tried to get back into it the other day and noticed blatant cheaters even with crossplay off. Great game but dunno if I can be bothered putting up with the scumbags.
I don't think making Call of Duty free to play would be a good idea at all. I mean if you think it's bad now with this 70 to a 100 dollar price tag imagine how bad it would be with free to play. If they go free to play expect the most anticonsumer practices to be put in place. If the next Call of Duty goes free to play expect 5 maps at launch and one of each gun type and expect only a handful of game modes. After the game releases I expect the price of every bundle to be thirty dollars and up and if you think the maps and DLC weapons will be free you are dead wrong. Map packs will offer probably 2 to 3 maps for 20 dollars a pop and the DLC weapons expect them to be put into 50 dollar bundles each one will be locked behind a 50 dollar or more pay wall and there won't be a way to unlock them unless you pay. This is Activision we are talking about they will use the free to play aspect as an excuse to be the worst anticonsumer publisher of all time. They got away with putting DLC weapons behind a paywall before they will do it again but ten times worse if they make the game free to play.
I've surprised myself at how much I've enjoyed it. It's very arcad like but it's been fun. I'll keep it for a couple of weeks I guess. Well done Sony for making it free
Okay so apparently if you make the MP5 look like the MW3 MP5 it ends up being pretty good. The MP5 with the Agency Suppressor and 9.5 Ranger with the Salvo 40 round Fast Mag and Serpent Grip and Sas combat stock is really good and also nostalgic. For the AK-74u you want the GRU Suppressor or the KGB Eliminator with the 10.3 Task Force Barrel and the Spetsnaz Grip and the VDV 50 round Fast Mag and the GRU Elastic Wrap. As for the LC10 you want to try a speed build since the stats are already solid. The Agency Suppressor with the SWAT 5MW Laser Sight and the 52 round Fast Mag with the airborne elastic wrap and the Raider Stock will make quick work of them you can also use the wire stock to have a higher hip fire accuracy. Hopefully this helps.
Honestly agree with pretty much everything, I even agree with snipers being annoying. But in my opinion they are very well balanced, people have just adopted an "annoying" playstyle because that works the best with them. Great video 🔥
@@theladthatknowsstuff9901 I disagree Your wrong Not really free to play when you have to have psn . Do you need to have psn or xbox live to play apex fortnite warzone 2.0 no you do not its free to play and download thats what i call free to play with no subscription needed.
BOCW feels so much slower when running. I don’t know if that’s due to the lack of Tac Sprint and larger maps or what, but I feel like I’m going on a light jog when sprinting…
You get a burst of speed at the start of sprinting for about 2 seconds. After that it’s just regular speed. Just gotta cancel it. It’s a better sprint than tac-sprinting tbh. You can repeatedly do it when you cancel it so it keeps the game fast paced. With tac-sprinting you can’t cancel it and it keeps your gun up so it’s slower. If someone catches you tac sprinting your done😂
I will hop on and try it again. I only ever played this game when it was in open beta and it turned me off. Hopefully i wont get destroyed once i begin playing like in the beta.
I spent the entire year of support for this game telling people it was really good. I know the cod cycle is always hanging over us but honestly idk why everyone disliked Cold War so much during it’s year.
It always take me less than a minute to find a match in MW2019. An indicator to let you know how that game is actually popular than the rest of the new ones
Its 100x more enjoyable than mw19, vanguard and mw22 combined...but it still is crippled by modern cod decisions. Its not a franchise thats designed to be fun anymore, its designed to be all about manipulating you into giving them more money

The only people who complain about Cold War are the ones who started with MW19 😂 the game plays like a classic Cod

I firmly believe cod would be better to throw all studios into one game and go Free to play.
Would be cool but publishers aren't going to let go of a free billion dollars each year in a launch window too easily 😅
They have thrown all 3 the past like 3 games 😂😂😂😂
@@eColiEspresso unfortunately you're right bro! Nonetheless I appreciate the great Espresso content!
Cold war is better then mw2
Honestly agree with pretty much everything, I even agree with snipers being annoying. But in my opinion they are very well balanced, people have just adopted an "annoying" playstyle because that works the best with them.
Great video 🔥
its only for a month and only on playstation where you have to pay 50 a month you are all delusional
How's BOCW in 2023? Well it's nothing but losers with grenade spam...
its £16 on steam
Its not free to play when you need playsation plus!!
If you’re playing CoD MP, you have PS+, so it pretty much is…
@@theladthatknowsstuff9901 I disagree Your wrong Not really free to play when you have to have psn . Do you need to have psn or xbox live to play apex fortnite warzone 2.0 no you do not its free to play and download thats what i call free to play with no subscription needed.
This not the one that had the ip leaks and shit??
It is, but they fixed it a few weeks ago.
@@theladthatknowsstuff9901no they didn’t. They were looking into it
All I rember is that cold war maps were dark and had to many head glitching spots and you could barely see anyone so I stopped playing after 3 days
I haven't played Cold War since season 3 I think, could never get me to go back
I will hop on and try it again. I only ever played this game when it was in open beta and it turned me off. Hopefully i wont get destroyed once i begin playing like in the beta.
If u did let me know what u think
Is it me or does any one else feel like the hit detection feel off? Especially with shotguns I’ve noticed there’s like a delay on the hit markers.
i liked it just looked like crap on ps4
I spent the entire year of support for this game telling people it was really good. I know the cod cycle is always hanging over us but honestly idk why everyone disliked Cold War so much during it’s year.
Like the third shittiest optimised game for pc
It always take me less than a minute to find a match in MW2019. An indicator to let you know how that game is actually popular than the rest of the new ones
Hardcores full of cheaters
Its 100x more enjoyable than mw19, vanguard and mw22 combined...but it still is crippled by modern cod decisions. Its not a franchise thats designed to be fun anymore, its designed to be all about manipulating you into giving them more money

Lol typical toxic player base of COD. Loving a trash COD game years later just because they feel nostalgic. Game is still trash.
🤓🤓🤓
this game is better then xdefiant
