Try this. Get gray braiding hair to braid with your hair. Once I did that, it was stunning, I didn't want to go back to black. Now my hair, except for the ends are silver. The transition was smooth. Try it!

People told me I would look older - i said I didn’t care. About 2 years in I chopped the dyed part off into a Bob. My silver is shiny and bright and I love it! Wish I had done this 20 years ago!! I'm a 28y young man and I've never disliked grey hair or been repulsed by it, I find it strangely elegant on women and kinda noble on men and it natural and beautiful in my 👀, that said I have locs and when it's my time I'd like to have a full head of ash grey 🩶 locs
