- Hello everyone! In today's video, I am giving you ten early game money making tips and suggestions for the first year of Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life. Here are some more guides to help you on your journey of this remake of Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life (HMAWL). Lol yeah I used that one cheat because I was impatient as a kid lmao
The original GameCube version had the Ruby's spice trick that gave you more money than you needed.
If you didn't want to cheat all you had to do was go up by the Harvest Goddess pond/Sprite tree area and fish at waterfall for the expensive fish, the cheap ones turned into sushi. Made good money. Heard they took out the Ruby's spice and sushi money making in this new version.

Regarding the dig site, you can dig in the same spot over and over and unearth items
An old tip I found online way back when was to get fruit trees planted as soon as possible, hold onto the fruit until you get the seed maker, turn them into seeds, then sell the seeds. I tried it in this version too and it still works for a good kick in income. I find the banana and peach ones work best as starting fruits. You can actually plant the trees on the edges and 1 space apart from eachother. Making it possible to plant all the different types of starting fruits in the back of the poor soil field. Apparently Upseeds can no longer be mixed with fruits though 😟. However, it still gives a good profit. If you plant each tree as soon as possible you can actually have a harvest of all the starting fruits in the 1st chapter. Just to let you know, I am aware that the seeds sell for less. However you get 2 seeds from the seed maker for each crop and those 2 seeds get you more money in the end for fruit trees. I did do a comparison in my game and the results were very clear for which is best
I’m the original it was the grape seeds and I didn’t make much this time, so the peach and banana make how much??
@@alzandah1245 I might have gotten a little mixed up on the peach maybe lol Peaches sell for 120 but their seeds sell for 90. However, you can get 2 seeds per fruit from the seed maker giving you 180 if you sell both peach seeds. Banana seeds are where it really gets interesting and this is the suggestion I found for the original way back when too. Bananas sell for 105 for one fruit. However, their seeds sell for 140 and getting 2 seeds to sell leads to 280. I think bananas are still the best to use for the starting fruits then. Just remember to save some banana seeds to make hybrid plants for more profit after you get Vinnie or you can buy them when you are ready. These prices are from the Story of Seasons A Wonderful Life using my game file as a reference to be sure. Peablu, the blue variety of peach, sells for 285 while the seeds sell for the same as normal peach seeds though. Bluenanas sell for 255 and the seeds sell for the same as normal banana seeds. Both can be obtained by mixing trick blue flower with the corresponding fruit with Vinnie. Save before trying since sometimes mixes that are meant to create new things fail too

Good tips, thanks! I'll be sure to use them in my current playthrough! I think my favorite tip out of the lot is turning milk into milk soup - simply for how strange it is that turning milk into soup is a thing, in addition to it making you more money. That is so bizzarre! 😂
Haha, yeah, the milk soup thing is definitely weird, but I bet they did it because they want you to have an excuse to cook a lot in the early game. You have to cook A LOT to level up your cooking skill. I wish there was an in game counter or meter...
@elithegaymer Update: I've been making A LOT of milk soup, turning every milk I get into soup. I've kind of skipped out selling it so I've been using it as gifts - a lot of people like milky soup, IN FACT: Nami seems to like it A LOT. So much so that she will comment the next day that it's one of her favorites, so to those going after Nami, one of the keys to her heart is milky soup! As a straight guy who loves redheads, this is great for me, lol.
Side note, I'm prolly gonna need more cows; I'm giving all my profits away! 🤣
Also, for those wondering what girl I'm trying for, it's a tie between Lumina and Nami. Lumina's new in-game model is just so darn cute, I love how she seems to break her prim and proper character every time I give her flowers, and Nami is a lady of few words that I want to get to know more! Plus, Nami is a redhead, so she's got that fire about her!
@bitzgames she will also say that for the herbal soup, but it doesn't sell for as much, so you won't be gifting your money making items away. In fact, everyone I've tried to give it to has accepted it so far!

Alright I gotta say somethign because everywhere I look they say you can fit 6 trees on your tier 1 or tier 2 field. That is incorrect. You can have 15. Put one at any corner then every 2nd tile you can put another tree. The area around them (the pavement) can overlap with the other trees so you can plant one in every 2nd square. Doing this you can have 3 rows of 5 trees just in one field. If you want all the tier 1 and 2 trees, there are 20 of them so it would take up 2 rows in the tier 2 field leaving you with only a 4x9 area for crops.

I noticed the 3rd gen tree seeds are actually worth less even with the two than the fruit.
At least the two I tried were, stopped after that. Something to consider. 1st and 2nd gen tree seeds are still the way to go for money. But like one of the 3rd gen I tried the fruit was worth a smidge over 400 and the seeds were 90 each, for example.

I have to disagree with tip number 6 because you can only grow each plant once and even on 2 seasons there is no further planting and if you put the purchase price in relation to what you have to do at the beginning, this results in a pure profit of 135G for watermelon, whereas the potato brings in 140G in spring. This only changes after the seed finisher.

I'd advise to only get female sheep, because sheep pregnancy is a total waste of time. If you have one pregnant livestock you won't be able to breed any others, like your cow. I'd buy 4 sheep, then buy a Star Bull as soon as you have 25k. Then, breed that with the starting cow and you can soft reset on the birthing day for a free baby Star Cow. Then you can repeat that process the next season when the baby cow grows up and so on.

Is it worth setting up a stall to sell your goods to the townspeople instead of waiting for Van?
If so, what do you think is the best time of day to set it up?
Hey!
I don't think so. Van has the possibility to raise the price, so, instead oft 150 for milk soup, he could give you even more. You can say no to the normal price to trigger this. Else, you can choose the same objects again and repeat the mentioned process. But the most important downgrade is time. Sellting at van is instantaneously while selling in you own stall consumes time. Even when there are many people walking by, often you can sell just 2 items per person and you have to reopen after selling 10 items in total.
However, giving the people a discount of 10 percent raises the friendship, which is very nice at the beginning and you if you need money ASAP, it's obviously better then waiting for 5 days until van is coming to the valley.

They are worth it! They can make you a lot of money. I didn’t get them in my first play through but they are definitely a good choice if you want to make some good money.

Omg xD i feel like i messed up a couple of things already... i didnt bought the chickens but seeds, i didnt milk my cow twice a day! and i haven't been in the archaeological site yet...hopefully those things won't affect much in my gameplay, im just in day 3 🤔 I can only play a little at night in week days xD and im still getting used with the city and characters...
Also, why is my character doing a tired face in the middle of the day and with plenty of energy? and their relationship gauge is just confusing 😵 I noticed i have more points with certain characters than others without giving them any gift... just normal talk...
Hi can you go into specifics about why you would lose more money from getting cheese or butter from star/marble cows?

Hello i have a question. Why does my cows milk quantity went to 2 from 4? I tried giving fodder+ but its not helping.
Plant your trees in the corners or on the sides of your field. They still grow, and they require less space!
in the original game i always made some much money right away that it trivialized the game and i had no need to farm or do chores. will be interesting to see if they nerfed anything. to do this, i got the seed maker from daryl asap and filled my entire back fertile field with trees using the seed maker, and max fertilized the trees. this is all from my memory so take it with a massive grain of salt, but from what i remember once a tree gets to max fertilizer you dont have to fertilize it or water it anymore and you just get tons of produce correct me if im wrong though. so i never bothered to min max selling things in town i had max upgraded everything and had no use for money long before my kid aged up
I always used two first fields for trees and their hybrids. Used the big fertile field for making the hybridized crops.
The golden fork has a higher chance to be dug up on amazing luck days; it's near impossible to dig up otherwise.
OK, cool!😀It looks like whenever I get my hands on the remake, it should be smooth sailing, as I can apply a lot of the money related tips and tricks I knew from the original here, to the remake!🙂(I completed the game at least once per original (boy) version of the game. I came close a couple of times in ANWL, getting all the way to chapter five!) In short: put any version of the game (will soon include the remake) in front of me, I will have a general idea of what to do, when it comes to having a successful farm.😃You can actually see me applying some of these tricks (while at the time still learning new things about the game) throughout my series of the PS2 version on my channel!

It just sends you six hours into the future... A little bit disappointing since in the original you could connect to Mineral Town.
Does normal milk S from a normal cow decrease the value it sales when u then it into milk soup? Also the in game description says marble cow specialize in cheese & brown cows r butter specialized. Wouldn’t it be more money to make cheese & butter than sale their milk? A star cow makes sense to sell milk for biggest profit of course.

Tip 3 is kind of misleading. Brown cows and marble cows are meant to use their milk for butter/cheese. Each cow has a specific specialty. The only milk you don’t want to make into cheese or butter is Star Milk.

There is no list of skills (unfortunately). The only skill that will level up is your cooking skill… The only way to check is to try to make a recipe and see what categories are unlocked. You’ll get a message when you level it up. Friendship level is in menu.

I always had the money to buy the seed maker before I got it from Daryl. I found that waiting for him to give me a seed maker took too long. A waste of time in a game where you don't get much time.
Is the free seed maker still able to be gotten in year 2 since you can buy it?
Yes, unlike the original, unlocking the seed maker can be done at any time, even after Takakura starts selling the seed maker. So just befriend Daryl and you're good.

why does my cow not give that milk? i need B milk for requests but my cow only ever gave C milk from the start. i let her graze everyday most of the day,and make sure to feed brush and snuggle her well.

Your cow has two meters: a friendship meter and a health meter. If its health or friendship level dips too low, it will give lower quality milk. Make sure you put them inside when it's raining/snowing and feed them twice a day. Did you put your fertilizer in the ground behind the barn? They eat long grass twice a day. If you don't have any, buy fertilizer from the store and place it behind your barn.

@@harajukubarbie1360 I made a lot of mistakes as well! Including this one. I used the fertilizer on three different crops so it didn’t even raise the quality level of my crops! I’m gonna make a “Don’t Make These Mistakes” video and include this tip. It’s a very easy mistake to make (I mean, it’s fertilizer, you would think it should be used on crops, haha).
I thought only marble and brown cow milk can be turned into butter and cheese ?
Not in this version! You can turn any milk into cheese. All cow milk turns into generic cheese though.

How do you trigger van to raise or lower the lrice?
It's funny that you ask, because I just uploaded a new video where I talk about this! Just offer Van something, and say no when he tells you the price. The first time you refuse, there is a 49.5% chance that he will make you a better offer! For full details, you can watch this video. Can you time travel in this game?
You mean, into the future? If you go to the mountain you will go to the city for six hours. Kind of useful if you have cows and nothing else to do that day.
Yeah I've won against Charlie 13 times and I still haven't gotten the record and I've played against him 15 times total. Once was a draw and the last time I lost but its been 15 times total and I still haven't gotten the record.

Haha, yeah, getting the butter/cheese maker was kind of a let down for me… You can make a bit more money but it’s not really that much more… It takes a long time just to pay itself off.
