they arent. Drivers just overswing some of the turns to carry speed. Watkins Glen officials are trying to actually bring them back onto the racing surface. They changed the curbing this year, and added rumble strips that are supposed to upset the car. Seems like the Xfinity guys figured out how to drive over them still though

SVG not use to racing so hard on wide tracks. Most of the V8 Supercars tracks are narrow compared to even the Glen.

@@tonystewart7287Svg was out of the preferred line at that point. Had he not lifted he would have caused a 8 car pileup.. some bad ass wheel work though that red car had him all but wrecked at one point and he saved it.
they probably had an agreement to keep it more cordial until the playoffs. Shane isn't even a Kaulig driver so I can see AJ having the mentality of "I'm gonna be the top guy here, not the guy leaving the team at the end of the year"
Allmendinger was driving like a pinball with other cars, walls, you name it... pretty reckless actually. That could have been a disaster if SVG didn't back out of the throttle.
I reckon these cars would be much more fun to drive than a V8 supercar. They are certainly better to watch.
SVG confirmed it himself. At least when comparing xfinity to the new gen supercars. Says you can push flat out in xfinity and have wild battles.
Yeah nascars make well over 900 hp supercars are lucky to have 650-700 they sound better and have a ton more of competitors all on track at the same time it would be so much more fun the way they rub and nudge eachother you rarely see that in supercars , in easy terms nascar would be like supercars but on a heap of steroids haha. Supercars are old news and boring to watch !

SVG is one of the greatest Aussie (yeh he’s from the east island , NZ - but we will claim him, just like Russell Crowe,etc), drivers of all time. V8 Supercars, tought him to be ruthless, so proud he’s doing great. SVG, show those yanks how to drive.

@@Firelight210 Not in the slightest. It's great to see the cocky olders get schooled tbh. But rookies NEVER maintain for long. SVG debuted in Cup Series and won with more flair than the entire field but has been climbing up from the bottom since. You could also factor in he's never raced ovals. The kid was an absolute weapon and earned the win, but let's see how long he can keep it up. He'll 10000% be worth watching every week, just like SVG!

LoL I heard of Trump derangement syndrome but not SVG derangement syndrome lol. If you actually watched the race it's pretty clear the 2 best drivers had terrible cars with Shane's looking like at least 50 hp. The only reason he could lap at the same pace when not mobbed by others was the fact his superior skill under braking gained a lot of time. Just go watch supercars if you so triggered watching SVG

Nascar has more than any other motorsport on earth.
Walkenglen is the super speedway of road courses in Nascar. You will see superspeedway racing. The reason F1 dosemt do this is because if there is contact, a car goes into the air, these cars can take punishment.
There was only one clean driver out there. The rest just play dodgem cars with each other. If their not good enough they try and bump you off track. The Giz’s fuse will go soon with that type of driving!
