Cool, it's been a long time since I heard about the feral region. The truth is that bergmite and avalugg are my designs, which thanks to a collaboration I did with the fakemon cartoonist from the feral region (alex, a great artist), I was able to see them digitally and with improvements😁

If I were to pick a starter, It would be Ninjusa. Its name and design inspiration gives me greninja vibes and is water/fighting which isn't too shabby of a combo.
Greninja is my favorite Pokémon ever so I'd 100% be taking Ninjusa
I think that it’s cool that corphant is a radioactive elephant, which I think may be referencing the Elephant’s Foot in chernobyl.

The names claw and fang gave me the idea of a prehistoric Pokémon game. Like legends arceus but way farther back, like when fossil Pokémon were everywhere, it would be interesting to see some new prehistoric Pokémon and they could even expand on the paradox pokemon
There is actually a full prehistoric fakemon region called pokemon amber, made by Froopy Art. Go check it out, it's awesome.

Fladanzze is the perfect example that you can make a dancing bird without having to make it a humanoid abomination like Quaquaval
I like Quaquaval, but I agree that Fladanzze and Oricorio look better. Fladanzze kinda looks like an Evolution for Oricorio's Baile form

I loved all of them but the water starter because the final evolution seemed like a mid stage and I’m sorry for the creator that passed away and I’m also sorry for missing your live streams
So... this fan region falls into that pitfall trap most fan regions fall into: Not having a good enough balance of single and dual typed mons (This one even has them all dual typed even).

Looking at disweeder i can just see that it's partly based off Muffet from Undertale.
Kitsurigus is based off the 9-tailed fox from japanese mythologies, not a wolf (and for naruto fans reading this: 9-tailed fox was NOT invented by the people who made Naruto)
The second form of fladanzze is definitely a flamenco dancer from Spain. You can see the castanets

Sad about the artist but I would chose the water starter and my favourite Pokémon were corphant and radorphant I would chose as my partners
To simplify this, all the fully evolved dragons are on the team, I'll skip the dragon legendery to leave room for my boi Franky who is my favorite of the straw hats and since I love team skull the same goes for the skull mons. As for the starters it is a coin toss between the water and fire starters.
May the artist rest in peace. There were lots of good designs. Mental health is so important. Check on your friends and family and be there for them to the best of your ability.

You had the right idea that Corphant and Radorphant have warning symbols as part of their design, but the symbols at the end of the snout don't necessarily represent waste. The ☢️ symbol warns about radiation, and while mostly associated with nuclear waste, it also represent the use of medical equipment and even treatment that is used in medical facilities. Radiology uses nuclear radiation to make the images to read about the condition our bodies are found. Do note that Corphant is a reference to a radioactive core, which is the heart of nuclear power plants.
The ☣️ symbol in Radorphant's face is to warn about biohazards, and while it's mostly associated with medical waste products that has contact with body fluids or solid samples, especially sharps like needles and scalpels, areas in laboratories where live cultures are kept has warnings of biohazards in the area.
The gas mask you talk about in describing Radorphant is used as safety equipment, especially when using a hazmat (hazardous material) suit. Such hazardous material in the environment may be radioactive fallout, chemicals, and even biological pathogens.
And Radorphant has a cooling tower present in nuclear plants.
My condolences to the friends and family of the artist. Mental health is something important that many tend to neglect or ignore. It's certainly a problem for men.
