  • The final episode of the P1800 restoration is finally here! In this episode we cover the in detail flat and polishing stage to bring the overall finish to that flawless standard we desire - this is not your basic level of paint finish!
We also go over some of the modifications to trim on the car as well as painting and fitting the loose panels
We will be doing a video once the car is back from having it's full rebuild to do a final video.
Hope you have enjoyed the video and the series of episodes on this build - its certainly been one we have loved!

Good job on the bodywork. The paint proves how good it was done. Beautiful. Nice colour too. I am waiting for part 4 to see it with it's bumpers, trim and windows. Oh, and mechanicals too.

I just acquired a 1961 P1800 in a million pieces and in way better starting shape with new fenders, rear quarters, rear sheet metal, new door skins. Even with that I can't imagine doing the job you did. Absolutely incredible. How much would it cost today to do this job. I live on the other side of the world so not possible for me. I'm in Sacramento CA.

Kudos to you on the car. It brings back memories of my 1965 P1800 that I did in the early 80’s in what seems to be exactly that same colour. It was not 100% original and I suppose a restomod in today’s terms. Looking to get a P1800ES and do a proper restomod in next couple of years.

I cannot WAIT to see the final video of the car completed. I hope you video the assembly of the car for us. Watching the entire restoration from the beginning would make it a suiting finish and so exciting! I get my first 1968 P1800S today from my seller and am SO excited! It is restored but not in the insanely pristine brand new fashion you have meticulously prepped this car. I wish I could have you do my car body like that! I am across the pond in the US

Thank you for the kind words Loraine! We have some footage of the rebuilt car to come - the reassembly wasn’t carried out by ourselves for this one.
Hope you enjoy getting your p1800! We would still happily take your P1800 in even if you are across the pond - you just say the word!
      Thanks

The attention to details is mindblowing. I´m restoring one at this time, it reminds me how much work there is left to do 😅 How´s ELLIS´ hand btw ? Did she fully recover ?

I hate you lol. Looking at one and that was the color I was gonna do just a couple of questions, and if secret I understand. You have a up draft booth? What was in the spray bottle in part 2? How do you mix enough paint to spray everything when they are done at different times to make sure it matches? Thanks you are great at your craft!!

Beautiful work, but the background sound is completely awful, it lower the quality of the movie.

Can't imagine anybody would be brave enough to drive it now. Shame about the colour. Any eed just doesn't suit an 1800. Maybe ok on a modified one.
    Lovely work though.
