As a kid in the 80s and 90s, I never comprehended how recently "20 years ago" was. When this show would investigate cold cases from the 1960s or 70s, and the adults would talk about them, I just figured it was the distant past, but now in 2022 I look back at 2002 or the 90s and think wow...that's not that long ago at all.
I feel bro. I've Been doing a lot of reflection this past year. 35 years ago is a mystery to those younger than me, and I have to explain life of the 1980s and 1990s. A few actually assume I experienced the Civil War, World War II or Vietnam... 🤨... dam Zoomers. LOL! I'm like "Nah bro, that was '##' years before I was born." 😂
The moral support Capt. Linda Sharp gave Jim was as instrumental in his healing as the medical care he received after he was stabilized. She gave him hope, which is something everyone needs. He ended up with a wonderful family to support him. It touched my heart to see their reunion. 🙂❤️🙂
Most iconic theme music and host of all time, even above Forensic Files. I literally cry whenever Robert Stack gives an update on long lost family members or loves finding eachother after decades of searching, the fact that this show alone was responsible for solving HUNDREDS of mysteries is absolutely incredible!!!!!!
We're all entitled to our opinions. Peter Thomas is the best in my eyes. Because his voice sends chills down the spine. He's so passionate about what he narrated. Robert Stack is second. Bill Curtis. Paul Winfield. Keith David. Marlene Sanders. They're literally the justice league of narration.
Jim died young 51, wonder what happened. Just read he was in 82nd airborne, that's in my town all my brothers were in that unit and my son in law now is in it. That's a tough unit.
Another story about a war veteran getting reunited with his nurse is Jim Meade, I've watched his episode on Unsolved a few times. I don't think it's a coincidence, these nurses have a profound impact on these soldiers.
Endtimeguitarist Endtimeguitarist, Gertrude was one wicked woman when it came to greed related to money. It is best to shy away from allowing a sole person to have control of financial assets. Many years ago, my mother had a member at her church talk to her about setting up an appt. to discuss a financial opportunity he had that would start with an investment of $10,000. She felt a bit uncomfortable about him because of certain personality characteristics he had that made her suspicious. She never met with him. He ended up going to prison for fraud, and I do not think his children knew his absence was related to him being a criminal. Supposedly, his kids thought he was working away from home under special extended circumstances. I never met him until after he was released from prison when he was again a member of the same church. I believe in redemption, but I observed him from afar as someone I would never trust with financial assets. I wonder if Gertrude and her son completely blew through the money prior to their disappearance. It is rather fitting “karma” that Gertrude ended up being a housekeeper.
Cpt. Linda Sharpe was an awesome person. Not only she kept the beer promise, but wrote a letter to the wife. 😢😊 so sweet of her, maybe she also had the hots for the soldier. She was a wonderful nurse. Is she still alive? Update wow Linda reunited with Jim.
this episode was from like 1988/1989 and he passed away 9 years after the episode aired and i honestly am not sure if prosthetic lims were around back then.
She invested $100,000, I wouldn't ever take that chance. That's a lot now to give, it was an insane amount back then. Also, Gertrude was sizing her up? So is it implying that 71 year old lady wanted to take Myrna to bed?
I dint know what was actually seen in those old videos, but why are people surprised there wouod be very large sea creatures never seen. The ocean is so deep no one can go can explore the vast majority of it. Btw loc ness is connected to the ocean by river ness. Very easy for something to swim down river🤦🏼♀️

That nurse deserves the medal of honor
Yes she does. I agree with you
I wish modern women of the 2020s were like her.
We now have cave womyn.

Wearing that incel t-shirt, bruh?😂

This is a true Soldier.glad 4 both of you.God Bless you all.
Jim and Linda, God bless you both!! Brave, strong and without the ego and entitlement so many of the people defending the US abuse.
I always feel really bad for soldiers having those terrible memories stuck in your head for the rest of your life!
And Jim was 19 at the time. That's crazy
Jim and Linda true American heroes. 🇺🇲
Another story about a war veteran getting reunited with his nurse is Jim Meade, I've watched his episode on Unsolved a few times. I don't think it's a coincidence, these nurses have a profound impact on these soldiers.
The first story is why this show was so good
Capt. Linda Sharp, Colonel Charles Shelton, and Jim Baczkowski are three of the absolute best of America.
@20:35 “I’m not a big fruitcake lover but they were delicious to be honest with you” 🤣🤣

I love fruitcake. And Gertrude probably steals from her employers homes... not a good job for her
@@barbarab8479 All that for a funny comment about fruitcake?
Lol Gertrude was slick, took people's money and when they caught on offered fruit cake

That doesn’t look like no ogopogo that looks like a sea otter at 45:53.😅
If you’ve ever seen a big snake swimming in the lake, then it’s obvious that’s what this is
i served in the Navy, though i wasnt injured while serving... i still consider anybody who served as a hero
Thank you for your service! ❤
Thank you for your service ❤
Sounds like someone had a little crush on Linda Sharp 😋
My thoughts exact!!! 🤣
😂😂😂😂
Yeah I kinda thought that too. Linda handled it well.
I love Linda ❤️ God bless her in Jesus name
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, IT'S A SEAL HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
hahaha... Beaver thought to be a Lake Monster !
Gertrude so sweet and pure, way ahead of her time. She showed us what women would be like in the future year of 2023.
My brothers ex father in law was the forensic scientist on the bank president case.
GRANDMA REALLY RAN WILD LIKE HULK HØGAN ON THEM LOL
She wrote you because she felt in love with someone she couldn't have!
I thought that too. How awkward for the wife.
That wasn't "Nessie" that my friend is an otter. No pogo....
Why don't Jim get a Bionic leg? or a prosthetic one?
this episode was from like 1988/1989 and he passed away 9 years after the episode aired and i honestly am not sure if prosthetic lims were around back then.
It looked too high up, but he probably could get one nowadays. His wife didn't look too happy
Jim Baczkowski's sad and heart warming story.... Brought to you by rich, money hungry, warmongering politicians and the Military Industrial Complex.
She helped him get a much needed nut off. I'm sure they're both grateful to the government.
She invested $100,000, I wouldn't ever take that chance. That's a lot now to give, it was an insane amount back then. Also, Gertrude was sizing her up? So is it implying that 71 year old lady wanted to take Myrna to bed?
Maybe it was lukgaruk, you know ?? The werewolf from the Johnny Quest cartoons in Paris!!! With Ale Hgie Shiek??!!!
When you see bodies of hero's being dragged along the ground it makes me think ! Why just why did you lose your life and what really for
Myrna sounds like an older Myrna Loy.
Myrna was played by Eddie murphy
Perhaps it’s you.
