Hey rebels - what can I say about Vienna !! Very artistic and it’s such a stunning city, il be going again to add even more places so look out for that soon. And if you haven’t been to Vienna before the video will cover just a few of the many many attractions this city has to offer!! ✌🏾😎
I was in Vienna almost 20 years ago. I didn´t know anything about Hunderwasser artist.... but I did love visiting his museum! I will always be grateful that someone took me there. If this person hadn´t suggested going to Hundertwasser house, I wouldn´t have gone and known about this very creative artist.
I went to Vienna about 27 years ago - absolutely magic. The Hofburg and the Schmetterling (Butterfly) Gardens, the Prater with the Riesenrad (Giant Ferris Wheel) and I went to see Die Lustige Witwe (The Merry Widow) at the Vienna State Opera. Wonderful memories that will always be with me.
I’ve been to Vienna three times. I’m enthralled with the city one of the most beautiful in the world, such a civilized place with so much culture. I would love to live there.
We lived less than 100 meters from the Hofburg for almost five years. There are several other museums in the palace that I highly recommend. The Rustkammer has ceremonial armor. The Schatzkammer has the Imperial treasury with the crown jewels, and there's also a museum of musical instruments. I also recommend a trip to the Military History Museum, which traces Austria's military technology from the time they were fighting with pointy sticks through WWII.
Vienna is so beautiful I am so happy to see this list of stunning places. Hal you have the best videos and I love Europe more and more each time you post a video
My daughter and I visited Vienna in April this year. It is a magnificent city. It was like a dream for 4 days. We went to an Opera at Boerse Palais! I can only say magical. Want to go back. Thanks for the lovely video. Bratislava will be included in my next visit!
We had our UN meetings in a large room in the the Hoffberg. Awesome. Beside it was the Lippizenner white horses. Unbelievable! We went to the State Opera to see and hear The Fliegeman Hollander (the flying dutchman). Wagner was a bit heavy for us but the Opera House was amazing. It was formal wear and during the break many couples went to a large room, waltz music was playing, and couples, arm in arm, promenaded in a circle, posture rigid. Then we went to the Sacher Hotel to have a piece of Sachertorte (chocolate layer cake). Not impressed. Don't miss Cafe Demel, which has the very best apfel strudel I've ever eating. It was a specialty of my Viennese grandmother and I loved it. Pastry as thin as a cigarette paper! A city well worth visiting. The last bastion of civilization.
Vienna is my favorite city in the whole world - but I was only there once, and for less than 24 hours. So I am so excited to go back this year. You mentioned 2 of the 3 things I always recommend (Schönbrunn Palace and St. Stephens) but I would add that Wiener Riesenrad is one of the most underrated places in the whole city, with the best view. Thanks for the beautiful video!
Thanks for this good video. I love Austria. I visited Vienna several times and always I want to come back. I paid a visit to some places you mention. All of them are interesting. The lovely, elegant coffee houses a d the " Sacher Torte" ☕
Vienna is awesome. ❤ One of my favourite cities in Europe. I've visited it several times and I look forward to travel there again. There's still a lot of to explore :)
Great video. The Belvedere wasn't built until the early 1700s, being finished in 1712. It was the summer home of Prince Eugene until 1736. After his death, his niece Victoria spent some time there, before Maria Theresa bought it in the 1750s. Prince Eugene was the only person to regularly reside at the palace. Schionbrunn should be #1 on everyone's list. I am surprised the Volksgarten ddin't make your list. That is definitely a top 10 site in the summer.
In addition to these I recommend the imperial treasury museum in the basement of the Hofburg, the imperial crypt, and the military history museum (free admission first Sunday of the month!)
When you visit Belvede Palace, be sure to also go through the botanic gardens, which are RIGHT NEXT to the palace but VERY easy to miss, if you don't know that they're there! Entrance is for free, but the gardens are not always open, so be sure to check opening times before! I live 3min away from them and work in a coffeeshop in the first district and always give tourists this tipp ^^
Edit: If you want even MORE fairytale feeling, visit the "Blumengärten Hirschstetten"...was there for the first time with my girlfriend not long ago and where blown AWAY
I really enjoyed your commentary. There are so many blogs out there with people not knowable about History, Art, Architecture and Culture. Hopefully zi can find more of your European Travel videos.
In Austria's hills where echoes play, There roams a spirit, bright as day. Not in form of goddess grand, But a spirit, unseen, in the land. Fortune's favor, a gentle breeze, Whispers secrets through the trees. Jason Morris, blessed and true, In her grace, he finds his due. In Vienna's streets, his path unfolds, As Fortune's hand in beauty molds. Opportunities, like rivers flow, To him, she always bestows. In Salzburg's song, his heart finds peace, As Fortune's touch will never cease. Her whispers guide his every way, In her light, he'll always stay. So raise a glass to Jason Morris, In Austria, where fortune pours. For in the spirit of the land, He holds her blessings in his hand.
Vienna is been classified as the best city to live for years to come! Why is that? Have you noticed something on that video? Have you noticed the people on the street? Where London is for example in the same ranking??????:))))
This is not the everyday Vienna for the vast majority of the 2 million people living here. This is 1st district plus some fancy buildings, the rest of Vienna is dirty, ugly with some of the most grotesque architectural choices known to man. It is funny how they even have to include Bratislava in a 10 min video about Vienna, says it all really. No, there def are some nice areas, even outside the tourist spots, but trust me, all the post WWII buildings bring down the flair of this city. I don' have a camera, otherwise i would show you the rest of Vienna.
Trying to learn about Vienna because I want to celebrate my 55th birthday travelling solo for the first time. I will follow all good places you featured here. Can't wait to go, so excited! Btw, is it easy to find public restrooms there??
I would say: Not that easy. And be sure to have some coins with you for the restrooms. (I think it was 1 €.) Toilets with payment system can be found at least at larger subway stations. Pay attention: Often you get a voucher for the value of the money that you can redeem at nearby stores. However, at least in the areas of interest to tourists, there are always places (restaurants, bars, coffee houses, ...) with toilets - but these usually want something to be consumed at them. (Most of them are quite good and I personally think you can sit down for 15 minutes, enjoy a drink and watch the surroundings. That does mostly good.) Sometimes this places also simply demand money for going to the toilet and you can go there without buying anything. Oh, and for God's sake, please don't let the costumed people in the city center talk you into a concert ticket. If you are interested in music: there are several nice concert halls in Vienna. And especially single seats for performances during the week are relatively easy to get if you don't necessarily need the best seats now. ( Costs can be between 15€ for a standing place to about 250€ - depending on the place time and concert.) Anyway, I wish you a good trip and that you enjoy your visit to the city.
Please make a mention of the Venus of Wiilendorf, a 30000-yr-old (yes, 4 zeroes!) sculpture in Natural History Museum. We travelledall the way to Vienna for just meeting the lady!
I think it's a bit - let's say, strange to advertise "10 most beautiful places to visit in Vienna" and then to include another Central European capital, Bratislava, in the video.
Only someone who has never been to Vienna can say that this is strange! There is nothing strange, since Bratislava is located in close proximity to Vienna. You can take a river bus and after some time find yourself in Bratislava. And this is truly a unique opportunity to visit two capitals at once.
@@marishaoliinyk2671 Strange that you say that - I live in Vienna and know Bratislava well - it's an interesting city that should get its own video, in my opinion.
I really want to visit Bratislava seeing that t is so close, however because there are so many things to see in Vienna over 2 and a half days I wonder if I'll have enough time. I want to see all the popular sites in Vienna but not sure if I need to go inside all the museums and palaces as I get bored easily and not that interested in art etc...what would be your advice?
Sunday is a good day for traveling to Bratislava because many restaurants & all shops are closed in Vienna on a Sunday. You can either travel to Bratislava by boat on the Danube or by train. By boat makes it a beautiful trip obviously

Loved it when I went as a student in 86-87. I also recommend the Votivkirche, the Wiener Werkstaette, and Cafe Wortner.
I have been to Vienna twice, it is a beautiful place
Amazing inspiration keep it up 👍
I also think it would be really important to take in a concert or the opera or go to the theater or something like that. It is the city of music.
This was such an amazing video and the music and 'storytelling' makes it more breathtaking and beautiful.
Thanks Hal, I'm hoping to go there this summer.
Was here in 2022 and even went on day trip to Bratislava , amazing and so beautiful
Most beautiful city I hv seen 🎉
Off to Vienna in 6 or 7 weeks. 2nd visit. Staying at the Sacher. I hope most of the places allow photography. Some great ideas here. Thanks.

It's fake news and propaganda for tourists! This is what Austria sells for a living. Vienna is a mediocre filthy sh!thole in reality.
I was here 3 weeks ago, it was raining hard and I can not visit all these places, so pity. If have occasionally I will be back. Very nice city.
Did you check out any of the old cafes and the apfel strudel
What a city…👍 Beautiful video and absolutely a must visit…
Don't waste your money! Visit places that are not popular tourist destinations. Vienna is worth a quick one day visit at best.

The last image of the "Palm House" is actually the Butterfly Museum and is in the center of Vienna not Schönbrunn Palace.
