With four Actions, that's up to 8 attacks [two attacks per Action, as he has Extra Attack I], so he's able to clear the entire stack every turn if he attacks enough. (...and even if he somehow had 99 stacks of Radiating Orb so he can never hit anything, a crit is still a crit, and crits always hit, regardless of attack rolls, unless the target is crit-proof.)

In earlier playthroughs Aylin saved me from Myrkl’s bone chill by shoving me off the platform so shadowheart could heal me… but its such a travesty when she gets mind controlled and absolutely destroys one of your party members. 😓

@ damn. I have never gone that long. They’re usually only 5 rounds max with Myrkul. I’ve up to tactician enhanced standard settings. I think even Myrkul is 1-2 rounds so I ignore the eggs once he’s out.
Wait, for the Apostle, couldn't feckhead disarming strike AFTER Karlachs stunning strike? Stunned condition make an enemy autofail the disarming attack (cus its strength saving throw). Or is there some weird interaction with legendary resistance or other shenanigan im not accounting for correctly? Also karlach has higher hit chance and stunned would give feckhead advantage on her attack
@Eupatridae yeah, but by having karlach restun apostle b4 feckhead, feckhead would guarantee scythe drop and have a higher chance to hit. More damage on avg and less risky.
Does the impossible challenge effect how well enemies resist you spells? In my second playthrough the Apostle of Myrkul's HP and actions did not get a chance to matter. I was running a mod to increase the level cap and reduce the xp needed per level slightly. I was a level 14 Oathbreaker Paladin and was able to use Control Undead on the Apostle of Myrkul on the first turn of combat against him. He immediately killed all his minions for me and ended the combat encounter. He did not revert back to the Ketheric form or drop his netherstone, even after I killed him outside of combat, so I was soft locked out of the game. (I had to save scum to proceed because I did now know that the Pixie Bell trick could be used to fast travel out of the area to proceed to act 3 another way. Actually, I did not even know about Dolly Dolly Dolly yet. I didn't notice the option to inspect the moonlantern until I transferred one to Halsin to use with Shillelagh just before the fighting Oliver in the town square in my third playthrough.) Ketheric in his humanoid appearing form is immune to Control Undead, but the only thing protecting Myrkul is being a higher level than most players would be at this point in the game. I think you could in theory dominate a god if you farm enough xp to reach level 12 without mods. I can't remember if my second playthrough was Balanced or Tactician mode. I guess his legendary resistance might prevent you from controlling Myrkul in Honor mode.
When you travel between areas the drakethroat buff refreshes if you don't carry around a weapon buffed with it. So leave your weapon in a chest in an area, travel, buff another weapon, repeat, until you have all your weapons buffed and pick up all your weapons.
You drakethroat buff a weapon, put it in a container on the ground, warp to act 1, then buff a new weapon, which won't take the buff away from the other item that's saved in a container off your person in Act 2. Just keep alternating that and you'll build up a collection of Drakethroat-buffed weapons for that long rest. Obviously, you have to do all that before freeing the Nightsong though, since you lose the ability to quick travel back an act at that point
hey, you just select the elemental, then press TAB to open all the party inventories at once and use the potion. I think on console you have to drop things on the floor for summons to use

My party just reached level 6 towards the end of act 1, and my fighter character just got gwm but her attack rolls are really low and I want to give my main character (who is a gloomstalker assassin) the risky ring. What can I do, if anything, to help offset the gwm attack roll penalty, while using the risky ring on a different character?
Have a bless bot and give the fighter a 2 level dip in barb for reckless attack. You'll probably want to wait until level 7 to dip barb, though, as you'll lose extra attack otherwise.

It is down to turn order - Feckhead went after Myrkul's turn, meaning the stun wore off.

I didnt think damage resistance stacked. You got double from Selune's blessing and Protective Plate?

im guessing twinned spell on 2 weapons first then using the refresher right before this fight to ensure 2 more weapons got the buff.
