Sadly, Ubisoft has poor low budgets to make films unlike EA, they already made Need For Speed the movie and they're planning to make sequel of the movie set in China.
Ubisoft said we should get comfortable with not owning games, so I guess Ubisoft should get comfortable with not owning my money.

James Quinn yeah but they are extremely overpriced and you can’t get neither with a manual transmission. Muscle any day of the week over flashy exotics, besides porches those are pretty dope.
The Crew's story:
a man witnesses his brother get murdered by a man in his own crew and gets blamed for the murder by a crooked agent, he works with the FBI to get revenge on his brothers killer and restore balance back to the 5-10s.
The Crew 2's story:
random person does races and becomes number 1 racer in the U.S..... AND THAT'S THE ENTIRE CAMPAIGN.

Hot Take: I like Crew 2's version better. The story in the first game was cliché, unnecessary and didn't fit the tone of the game. The Crew 2 just goes "Here, you're a social media person or something. Okay now do what you want." I liked that. A racing game doesn't need a story.

Eight years later, and I'll admit that I never made the connection previously. I *LOVE* this.
Also, another connection I made is between this trailer and the new cinematic trailer for Motorfest. Clips of cars being introduced in a separate scene, followed by them joining the crew with the car from the first scene. That's a nice touch.

You need to understand that getting licenses for car brands isn't cheap and running up servers cost a lot of money.

@ZephyrGhost Forza has no problem making all their old games offline with licensing. Ubosft's a large company they most definitely have the budget for an offline mode. They are lazy and the developers of the crew 1 are long gone from the studio I assume. Ubisoft are just greedy and don't care anymore.
This looks at least a million times better than the actual game. Let's just hope one day games will be as pretty as this :D
the graphics wont change to how they were in the beta ... 90% of games make there trailers look better than the game is in game anyways
You know all Publisher do better graphics in their Trailers.. They do it because they want to attract more attention to their games. And believe me, the graphics in the game are ALMOST as good as this trailer. Actually it isn't really about the graphics, it is about the scale of the map and it really is about the total package, and The Crew is optimal for games who like to drive in freedom through a big map, with tuning, nice cars and a very good story. This. Is. The Crew.
Worth it.

I played it for a week at release, handed it back. Disappointing, will get it now though because of the graphics and physics update and as new content is being added.

One of the things that makes this game so enticing for me is the sounds the cars make. I think they really nail'd the sounds and it just makes the cars feel 10x more powerful and awesome
Not in the beta. The sound of a V8 in this game does not remind me of V8 at all, and The Crew isn't the only game to get the sounds of engines wrong.
Please give us offline patch, we still want to enjoy the game
There is an offline mode hidden in the code, there was an option for it in the menu that is also hidden

Guys and gals, this is eye-candy and hype. A way to satisfy the ones who already badly wants this game and a way to introduce the game to newcomers. Yes, it is CGI with an incredible amount of polygons and film-making effects which does not exist in the game, but it does introduce you to the freedom of the game, the co-operation between friends and players (Which I experienced myself in Beta).
I think most people are smart enough to not rely on a cinematic when buying a game and actually looks up gameplay which they have been putting up, they have let people play the game etc.
I absolutely love watching cinematics for games, I hope they never stop making them

This game has an amazing trailer, released 10 years ago has a great storyline and map and to this day the graphics still look great so I think this is the game that was the most ahead of it’s time!
I forget who, but someone rated it as the most influential racing game of all time. I agree. It was such a huge map, with sooo many vehicles to choose and looked amazing.

To render a game completely unplayable for the people who bought it and not making an offline update prior to shutting down the servers of a server-dependent game is an absolute joke and an insult to them. All this ultimately tells people is that you shouldn't buy their games since they actually have an expiration date on them unlike the countless games that predate it and follow it.
Protest with your money, people. Don't give Ubisoft anything anymore.
