Coconut shell makes excellent media for filtering as activated charcoal. Clean drinking water is very important for health.

Thanks for this video on the water filter update. Could you elaborate on the screen you mention that goes on top of the tile? I downloaded the AQsolutions document "blue-barrel-system-manual_2022.pdf", but it is not clear to me what kind of screen you refer to. Sorry if I missed something ... Also, does this eliminate herbicides/pesticides and how about a UV-step to kill microbes/viruses ?

Thanks Mr Jon Jandai for the video. I really like the innovations compared to the old version, the new floating valve and the tiling which completely covers the bricks probably in order to contain suspended particles (replacing the large stones used in the old version). The concrete rings too, very good idea. Where does the water comes from, pond or papa mu baan? Do you use another tank to feed the filter by gravity ?

Clean water from a simple low cost system is a beautiful thing. Thank you for sharing. Do you have any content on handling of human waste/sewage or trash disposal?

Have you sent the filterd water to a lab to have it tested??? That will be the only way to know if it's good for drinking plus you'll know what minerals are in the water as well.

We just eat raw vegetables and fruit so we do not need more water to drink.
We just need water for washing.
We can live much simpler and relaxing life.

The only thing I would add is a UV lights inside the last storage tank. It would destroy the DNA of any pathogens rendering them harmless. Otherwise, a very good system. The principle is quite old, ancient even, but these videos serve as an education and knowledge spreaders to people not familiarized with these types of filters.
