Should have purchased a mini van. Hard to hear someone complain about the cost of gas but mention how often you go to Disneyland which is probably the most expensive place to waste money on planet earth.
Honestly sounds like you should have bought a minivan 😂. You say that it’s too big, but the trunk space is too small. You bought a V8 and don’t like the gas mileage. I have a 2015 Yukon XL and love the thing. Was thinking about upgrading to 21, 22 Tahoe or Yukon!
The gas mileage improves significantly if you use e.g. 91 octane Chevron, Exxon Mobil premium gasoline and also performance and engine smoothness is enhanced (Note: I have a 2021 Chevy Tahoe Z71 which I bought brand new back in July 2021 and now with over 36K miles on it ... and we just love it). On the exhaust note you can put a K&N air filter in there, and it will improve somewhat to a nice V8 rumble. At night the red tail lights actually look good other than the little yellow turn signal bulb on the back which should be LED. On appearance, we still get lots of good looks and compliments (often at the car wash people come over and take a look and compliment us on it), ... people just love the Tahoe and yeah some might be jealous as they too want one, and these have become kind of expensive, but still a lot cheaper than an Escalade and the Tahoe in comparison remains a great value in this SUV segment. What I miss/don't like on our Tahoe: (1) mine has no blind spot monitor, (2) the seats (driver and passenger) are too small and I just miss the big old generous Chevy SUV seats, (3) mine has no 360 surround view, (4) no cooling seats (although I wouldn't use it too much anyway as my body felt like "stiff" after using it in my RAM1500 Limited Longhorn ... maybe just need to get used to it), ... but most of these things are nitpicking as overall it's an excellent SUV ... we love it! What I do like on my Tahoe: Mine has the original 20" wheels with the original Goodyear tires which is a big plus because it protects the rims should you get too close to the curb which I did a few times. With the 22's I would have scratched the wheels. Again, as I use only 91 octane (and I've tested various gasoline brands) from Chevron and where available Exxon Mobil also works well (but when using Shell the transmission seems to shift not as smoothly if you're sensitive about that, but Shell for instance was the better gasoline brand for my RAM1500 Hemi engine). I just did a 3,000-mile trip and the Tahoe was smooth, efficient (on Interstates for the most fuel efficiency you want to keep the cruise control at a max. 78 mph even if the speed limit is 80 mph like we have here in the West almost everywhere; once you go over 78 mph the gas mileage does drop quite a bit). The Tahoe feels very safe also around corners and it's really fun to drive with many features. The pano roof is great too ... gives you that open-air feel somewhat.
Nice video man, been watching your channel since I got my 23' Blazer and watched your oil change video on it. It kinda blows my mind for the amount of money being charged for vehicles right now more isn't in these vehicles. I got a good deal on my Premier Blazer with all the bells and whistles so that's how I ended up with it but honestly I didn't even realize it doesn't have HD radio built in! I was like WTF?!?! My 2013 Toyota Yaris I had before this had HD radio for local radio stations. Hopefully the market will fix itself soon and car prices kinda like housing prices come back to earth. Unless there is a decent deal to be had right now on a vehicle none of them are worth buying! Keep up the great content!
Thank you brotha! Trust me, if we didn't get a steal of a deal on our trade we would still be in the Blazer too. But it woulda been foolish to turn down what they gave us lol. I'll always keep the Blazer in spirit!
I own 22 6.2 Z71 (quad exhaust sound 💪) and love everything about it. Always looking for roads to step on the gas 🎉 You need to explore the infotainment menu and adjust exit memory seat and other stuff you aren't aware of. Lastly, this is not a luxury German so don't complain 😂
For the exhaust that is on your Tahoe usually is the one that comes with a 5.3l v8, and when you go for a 6.2l v8, that's when they come with a quad exhaust. Usually, it is a 50/50 with Chevy when purchasing a Tahoe from z71 and down. Premiere and High Country’s are typically equipped with the 6.2l v8. But love the content on the Tahoe.
If you haven't already figured it out, you can program the seats to the position you want when you open the door. It should be same area where you programed each seat. you should see 1, 2, set, and a weird symbol that should look like an arrow pointing out the side of the vehicle. As for lane keep assist. Mine works too well. It fights you unless you have your turn signal on and here where there are some not so great roads and markings on roads, it sometimes mistakes deformities as lines. May have been a package you didn't get, or you may need to see if there is a problem with yours.
Beautiful Tahoe. Found you looking for upgrades. I have a Black and Chrome Premier and love it. The only gripe is the Auto stop/start, which will be handled soon. I do recommend the Premiere or High Country for the best of the best. Thanks for the videos. Im in Wesley Chapel Florida, maybe we'll cross paths. Good luck with your new Tahoe. ✌️
Another problem is the clothes hangers. The recessed clothes hangers when let down will not function properly. The cloths that are hung up on them after leaving the cleaners will fall off while driving going home and that means wrinkled shirts and pants after they are left on the floorboard for awhile. I fixed that though with a simple device.
Hi, I'm renting a Tahoe. When I go on holiday in Florida . I plan on going to most of the Disney parks in June. Do you think I'll have trouble trying to park it at Disney? I love the look of the Tahoe .I'm just worried now that it might be too big and I should rent something a bit smaller. Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪
I love the color of your car. A few months ago I got a Premier in Sterling Gray and I'm loving it. Let me tell you, the ventilated seats are superb. Like you, I have some things that I would change - like making the sign recognition capable of reading all signs (like in my wife's Palisade Calligraphy), and put in an auto brake hold for sitting at traffic lights. Apart from that, I love driving my car. It is so comfortable.
I live in a big city, and the Tahoe has been fine. We’ve only had some issues with the height, getting it into a garage, but most garages and parking spots are fine. Once you’ve had the new gen Tahoe for four years you will learn how to park it better, etcetera.
The lane keep assist that "steers" you back into your lane is unsettling IMO. I keep it off. It's another example of the "nanny state." You should have got the 6.2L with the quad tips. They sounds great.
Not sure why your lane keep assist isnt working. It works very well on my 2023. It will fight you to keep you in the lane unless you use your turn signal
Did you find anything out about your lane assist? I just got a ‘24, and sometimes I feel like I’m in a tug-o-war match with the damn steering wheel with the amount of pull it has keeping you in your lane lol
@@TheSnyds mine will practically drive itself. We’ve tested how long it’ll keep us in the lane and when you leave your hands off the steering wheel too long (10ish seconds) it’ll flash a warning at you telling you to place hands on wheel 🤣 oops! Lol hope it’s is an easy fix for y’all!
The GMC and Chevrolet full size SUV 's have seats that are too small at only 19 3/4 inches wide. They are not plush at all compared to other SUV makes & models. The second row bucket seats are smaller that the front bucket seats. They are not designed for a man driver/passenger al all. The radio system will not upload a playlist of songs to the radio memory from a USB thumb drive like the BOSE radio system I had in my 2013 LTZ Avalanche. One has to have the thumb drive plugged in all the time to play songs from it. Also there is no control on the steering wheel to advance the next song from ones playlist on the thumb drive USB. The Chevrolet Tahoe does not have fog lights available in the grill/front. The Tahoe Premier does have the duel exhaust and Magnetic Drive Shocks. Only way to get those on a GMC Yukon is to order the more expensive Denali.
Chevy’s Lane Keep assist isn’t the same as lane CENTERING aids which are actively and continuously keeping you in the lane. If you want that you gotta get super cruise, and can only use it on approved roads. Chevy’s Lane Keep Assist SUCKS so I do agree with you there
The exhaust is not great but there is an exhaust pkg and always you go aftermarket for pipes and tail lights. Me personally I'm stuck between the 21 Tahoe and the 21 E 450 coupe from a 16 Camaro; 2 different vehicles but both have great positives and negatives.
If you were concerned about gas mileage, then you should have kept your Blazer S. I’ve had Z71 for almost 2 years and I love it. I miss my 2005 Hummer H2. If you want you want more luxurious features, then get the Cadillac Escalade or the Yukon Denali Ultimate. I upgraded my exhaust to Magna Flow and don’t upgrade your exhaust through the dealership!!
I had an 03 H2. Man I miss that thing. 10mpg city or hwy, didn't matter lol. Its too bad these SUV's today are WAY overpriced. Ive had them all not worth the money today.
I’ve had this car for 4 years. Health 100,000 miles, ONE ISSUE. The issue was a part that is only supposed to last until 60,000 miles and we were at 80,000 it was an easy $200 fix. This car has been amazing, and still runs great. It’s comfortable, rides smooth, etc.
You can program the seats to move back when you turn off the truck. Makes for more entry/exit room.
Cooling seats is an upgrade option on higher trim levels, i.e. premier and High Country trim levels.

Also for ventilated seats you’ve gotta step up to the Premier or High country on the Tahoe.
Ventilated seats are an option, I am looking at getting a Tahoe soon and have been very specifically looking for that. Anyway awesome video, thanks.
Wait for the refreshed model

You can put led escalade taillights on it fairly easy

You can get ventilated seat and a better exhaust note you just gotta go above to poverty trim level.
I think your better off with the traverse but Tahoe is a monster 😅
In 2024, z71 doesnt have adaptive cruise. Tahoe and Suburban dont get projector LED at this price.
