Horse carrier[dondabiki] (1970s)

Hita City, Oita Prefecture, a basin surrounded by mountains, has been a thriving forestry industry since the Edo period as a production center for Hitasugi cedar.
Trees cut down in the mountains were carried to the river by horse carrier, and were carried to the river at the mouth of the river using the Chikugo River, and were carried to boats, furniture, or all over the country.
This video was shot by Dad in the 1970s to record the work of horse carrier, which is probably the last in his hometown.
