This band were criminally underated in the British Music scene. Such a shame. These guys had some amazing talent. Glad they are all doing other projects.
Went to their last ever gig at the Hammersmith Apollo. Incredible & Emotional. All four members were in tears for the last couple of songs. Thanks for the music & memories Wild Beasts! x
My favorite band for the last 5 years or so. So awesomely different. Literally every song for three albums straight have been great. The last so-so track they released was on Limbo, Panto and even then they weren't bad. This is amazing. Flemings backup deviation on the last "who gives a fuck" was awesome. Love this band.
exactly right. they have kept it different on each album but they're all so good. definitely my favourite band of the last 5 years too. so many of the bands i listened to since Limbo Panto (foals, bombay bicycle club, maccabees etc) all just lost it after a few albums but WB still kept it real 4 albums later
oh my lord. this was truly quite phenomenal. idea: release this recording as a very limited run of 7" records. i would fall asleep with it in my arms every night.
I've listened to this recording using a pair of Jean Marie Reynaud Cantabile, and even if it may not have the depth of the "real thing", I thought : what a great idea for a great piece of music ! Love it !!
sorry to say but that was a bit underwhelming considering the setting. don't misunderstand me, the song and live performance per se were really good but i didn't get any "wow!" effect comparing this to the regular studio version you can listen to on youtube. the magnitude of this incredible instrument did totally not translate its beauty into this recording, i bet it was quite amazing when you were "actually there" and felt the tunes vibrate through the giant theater though.
yeah this is a cool idea but why have another keyboard running under (in some parts over) the organ? that's what the foot pedals are for. seems like a waste of an opportunity to exhibit the instrument.
robbpeppertree I forgot you were the composer of this musical work. Oh wait - you aren't! it's not up to you to decide. It IS a stylistic choice; if you don't understand the so-called "language" clearly, it's because you're not meant to. Hell I find myself amazed at how much people fail to grasp musical language itself. For all a musician cares, he could sing in Nepalese, and the music's capacity to convey meaning would still be there.
robbpeppertree LOL. I'm so happy to not be so limited. Go study music, some years later, listen to this again, and you might figure out something out of it.

They certainly were. I saw them live about 6 times and they never failed to blow my mind.
My absolute favorite band ever. Saw them many times live and blew me away every time.
@@simonharrison125 critically acclaimed, recognised for their musical talent… just too “unique” for the generic British “chart” ear I guess?

David Godwin sort of sad that last bit
Unbelievably talented and original band criminally ignored by the mainstream. Better than any other band!
Wild beasts performing a flawless
performance to an empty concert hall is oddly fitting
Your comment aged very well.
2024 👌
Wild Beasts are champions at simplifying something beautiful. How can you be underwhelmed by such purity?
i miss them. so underrated.

and yeah, toms bit at 5.25 is sooo fucking good.
I miss these guys. It good was to just good to have four blokes who did something a bit different and it just worked. Thanks for the music fellas!
Truly one of my favorite bands. Great song.
Watching this during COVID is very very fitting. Such a heavily talented and highly underrated group
So very true 🙌😎
6:24 onwards...
Such impeccable sound
had the luck to see them live. i am still blown away by their performance and even more impressed after watching this.
Come back guys
Absolute banger of a tune. Gutted their splitting but so glad I've got tickets to their last show...
Don't confuse me for someone who doesn't love the f*** out of this song.
compazine Agreed.
That lyric rules
They are/were perfect, aren't they? Brilliant, the best. I love them, miss them, love them,... I'm always here.

ronan beauvois did they come with a free finger up the bum?
How the f-k does someone thinks it's a good idea to force a commercial in the middle of this song? *pulling my hair*
So underrated, I came across them on Jools Holland, All the kings men probably my favorite song of theirs .
I'm listening to this incredible music, this band is just perfect, they are my favorites as well as Low Roar
This is just too awesome, this aong alone is just out of this world.
I don't care what happens to me but this is my death song.
Amo essa banda...
WOW-WEE. Spectacular and majestic.

That effect can easily be replicated by Turning It Up To Eleven.
drummer looks like Darren Wilson.
love this band!
its weird how similar their voices are, yet so unique everyone elses
Барабанщик - виртуоз! Просто незаменим! 😂
thats. just. holiness.
Indeed.
I would give an organ donation...
This is amazing.. Just beautiful!!
Feel like alot of work has been done to this recording to equalize, would almost rather hear a rawer recording from a GoPro
Outrageous.
Bad or good?
It was very pleasant. I loved , bravoooo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌹✌🏻
this is just wonderful!!!!
INCREDIBLE

Yeah big organs never record well because there's so much depth to their sound recordings can't pick up
kwjunker because that's the song. They always have two keyboards for it.
That extended outro. Ooooooooooof
hahahaha! Thats's where I had my graduation ceremony, awesome venue !!!
literally organic
exeptionnel
ohh Hyden you have such a sweet voice..
Sick!
Great song. But this sounds like one of those "gotta be there" moments
This recording's way too clean. Should have just had a couple of room mics, would have been way more interesting.
Tommy.

It took me till the 2:10 mark to realize that this is in English. Really bad diction.
There's something called "style" when singing.
Miguel Paez Style shouldn't cause bad diction to the point where language is lost.

Miguel Paez Again. Not an excuse for poor diction. I'm not talking about musical language. I'm talking about diction in the English language.
