Went to the Ripley's aquarium in Gatlinburg a couple weeks ago. It was surprisingly good in there as well.

Peter Chermayeff who designed the Tennessee Aquarium also designed the Lisbon Oceanarium, Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, New England Aquarium, Duesseldorf Aquarium, and the National Aquarium. The Tennessee Aquarium is especially reminiscent of the National Aquarium because of the roof design, the escalator that takes you to a top room, and the multi level room with multiple tanks.

This Aquarium is a very nice exhibit in Tennessee.
